Salaam everyone, I recently witnessed a family member playing a video loudly on the TV of a really bad quality Quran recitation on youtube this morning. It was not an old video, therefore of lesser audio quality, but a newly uploaded video which obviously has had issues with sound being digitally set to very high with the persons voice making microphone pops in the speaker and reverb set to a extra long delay which means it was a constant stream of high frequency scratching noise in the back ground due to the low quality. I usually don't mind and even enjoy the soothing atmosphere that someone reading Quran emits. This, however, was disturbing me as it was uncomfortable and literally felt it was hurting my ears and I felt it was not properly portraying the beauty of the Quran, hence not making it sound good. I find this unlucky for the video as the person reciting is probably doing great. I asked the person to please find another video as the quality of this specific video was bothering me. This seemed to offend the person a lot and I was told to leave the room and close the door. The person took it as a some insult and I feel my faith is perceived by him to be weak somehow as he compared it to another person that is not a believer. I need help to understand what to do here. Am I wrong for wanting a clearer and better quality of audio from a video? Is it wrong that I feel disturbed that the Quran is being read with such low quality loudly? How should I talk to this person? He is older then me and his ears have started to lose a bit hearing. Thank you for your help.

I have listened to a lot of lectures of Kanat Eleyoun. They have 2 speakers, Mirvat Amad and Mohamad Moussa. Mirvat Amad is in charge with more general lectures or lectures based on texts (Quran+Hadith) while Mohamad Moussa does lectures about esoteric and mystical topics. In general, he has really intriguing topics but a lot of times the things he says in his lectures are really really far-fetched. Sometimes I just click away because what he says sounds so made-up and fake and think "what is he even saying?". Sometimes I even search up the terms he uses for more information (in English and Arabic) but I find nothing. For example the other day I wanted to search up Sujood Barzakhi, but couldn't find anything. He mostly talks without giving references. The least he sometimes says is "Its in the books, search it up". What are your thought on Mohamad Moussa and did you have the same experience?

Bismillah Rahman Raheem. I am absolutely heartbroken after finding out Anti-Majos 3 had made a video entitled “when fake matam turns real!!” and making comments from the contributors with things about God being pleased with those who did (killing the Shias in that shooting video) or bringing a scholar who says that the only solution for the Shias is to kill the men, take their women as captives and enslave their children (I think the name was specifically Rami Issa). What is the sick and disgusting stuff? Did their prophet (saws) hurt the Jews and Christians during his time? The prophet only ever fought in a battle after being expelled with his followers from their homes, getting harassed and looted constantly, having the peace treaties broken and absolutely being oppressed! Now can anyone tell me when did the Shias do that? I think we need to report these channels for their hate speech which is a CLEAR crime. If the police will not listen then at least we have to try and take down these hate-inspiring videos and channels by reporting it on YouTube and Google. Who is with me and willing to help do this? Anti-majos production even called Imam Mahdi a “rat” in one of the YouTube comments when they themselves should believe in his appearance. Absolutely disgusting and sickening. What a great shame they bring to Islam for their fighting and enmity towards the other sects!

Assalam o alikum everyone, No rude replies please. And I am new to this site. So please mention, if i am uploading my question on a wrong forum. So, I made my YouTube channel three days ago. There are only three videos on it with almost 42 subscribers in three days. Everything was alright and I was happy with my number of subscribers. Until today, I received my very first criticising comment. The lady said that there should be a way to change your voice as non mahram are going to listen to your voice, which is haram in islam. I don't know, what to think or do. I mean, I am totally blank minded right now. Can you guys give advice or guide me please?

Why is that Shia Muslim content is lacking on Social media platform such as Facebook and Youtube. Hardly there is any Youtube channel or Facebook page with Shia content where followers are above 10k. On social media shia admins mostly share conflicting issues or lectures of non-shia scholars who seconds some of our ideology. But unfortunately there are hardly any shia pages or channel which talks on common ground to attract people towards shia islam. On the other hand youtube channel and facebook pages with non-shia content and speakers are growing day by day. Every other non-shia facebook page and channel has followers near 0.1 million. Even if you don't want to listen to non-shia speakers or lectures, somehow they come infront of you. Often their content is so misleading but people do get convince what ever they are saying is true just because those speakers don't talk on conflicting issues. Majortity of these speakers are wahabi or deoband. Don't you think Shia social media team need to be more smart and active on youtube and facebook? We need to produce shia speakers who can spread basic Islam without talking on conflicting issues and educate people what shia islam is.

Salamun Alykum Dear Brothers and Sisters. Youtube has got great collection of Iranian Nasheeds and Nauhes recited by very very good reciters MashaAllah but sadly 99% of them don't have captions in English. Can any Iranian brother/sister take up this task to make English subs of 2 videos each week.. It'll be a great benefit for all of us who don't know Persian but want to listen and most importantly understand those Nasheeds & Latmiyaas. Please anyone to volunteer??

Whenever I'm laying in bed and too tired to read, or doing chores, or simply hanging out, I enjoy to listen to talks/lectures on youtube. I really enjoy Islamic philosophical talks, however there's just so much material to sift from. Does anyone have any recommendations of any peices by interesting voices in the Shia community? Feel free to share links or names of clerics/sheikhs that have made an impact on your world & religious view. Salaam! Have a great week!

The AntiMajoos Channel on youtube is easy to deal with, go to their videos and post articles refuting what they claim in their videos. The managers of the channel couldnt deal with me i havent even put that much effort to it.Just a couple of minutes ago he/she/it started deleting his comments in arguments in which i killed him.Go and silence these NASIBIS. Because seriously their arguments are either weak or total nonsense based on twisting words, taking them out of context,or featuring known ghulat guys.Go kill them ey yuhel Rafidah !

(bismillah) (wasalam) In Youtube's Terms of Service, it states that "You shall not download any Content unless you see a “download” or similar link displayed by YouTube on the Service for that Content." Based upon that, is it considered forbidden in Islam to download videos or a video's audio from Youtube exclusively for one's personal use? I was perplexed over this matter and I always had second thoughts when I wanted to download latmiyyat from Youtube. Thank you for your answers in advance. Wassalam

salam alaykom! Is it haram to download from youtube? I mean, the singers try so hard to make the songs and then people put i on youtube so other people can listen to it for free, is it then haram for me to download it? Is it like stealing? I don´t always listen to music, and I´m not addicted to it, I´m just asking. So please don´t judge or assume that I´m a bad person. :D Wassalam!
