  1. Hey guys, I am making two websites: one about Al-Masjid Al-Haram; and the other one: about Al-Masjid An-Nabawi. I am not sure what kind of website would be most useful for people who plan on visiting either of these holy sites, so I have come to the conclusion that each of the two websites should be a discussion forum website (kind of like ShiaChat.com - ShiaChat.com is a discussion forum website). I figure that a discussion forum is a good choice as a discussion forums are kind if 'jack of all trades, master of none' websites which are useful in so many ways to people. I have chosen a WordPress theme and WordPress plugins to use, I have the logos made, the legal documents (terms of service etc) will be made soon and i have purchased the web-domains - so, I have all the software I need. And, i know how to make websites. However, when it comes to building my forum, I don't really know what sections the forum should have (i.e. the sections a visitor of my site can choose to post a message in/create a 'thread' in). I guess there should be a section for different aspects of observing/performing Hajj and Umrah. And, like so many forum sites, there should be an 'off-topic' section for general discussion about things that may not be related to Islam. I was wondering, do any of you have any suggestions as to what sections my forum should have? I would appreciate any useful info.
  2. Salaam everyone, The Thaqalayn Discord server and I have been working on a Hadith browsing site, which is ready here: http://thaqalayn.co/index.php/ahadith So far it's only Al Kafi, using the Hube Ali translation, but inshallah in the future we will be adding more books. Would be great if you guys could check it out. Thank you, 7ssein
  3. Happy Eid everyone!!! I'm happy to announce on this joyous occasion that I've just launched a website that contains and displays the Hadith from the Ahlulbayt(عليه السلام). The link is: https://ahlulbayt-hadith.com/. Reason for making this website: So far I've been using https://www.al-islam.org/ and their website is great. However, it can be hard to only search for ahadith as there are many other content that gets parsed in their website. For this purpose, I thought that it might be useful to have a website dedicated solely to the hadith of the Ahlulbayth (عليه السلام). Additionally, the sunni hadith books have such websites so I thought that we should also make our hadith books available online. Current features: Over 3000 hadiths from Usul Al-Kafi with complete chains and references. The ability to search by keywords through the hadiths. Navigate from one hadith to the next. Features that I plan to add soon: Bihar Al-Anwar and other classic Shia hadith books Arabic ahadith Complete hadith book viewer in the browser Screenshot: Please check this website out and let me know if you have any suggestions for improvement or any comments!
  4. I wanted to make the following my signature, until I realized it surpasses the maximum signature length, and the maximum of two website links in the signature. Please note that I only included links to navigable websites, not download pages, unless otherwise stated. If you know of any websites that are missing from my list, please comment them below. Please let me know if there are any mistakes or improvements to be made. Many Thanks. Note: because this post is so long, the font is small in some places to avoid taking up too much space (I'm not trying to spam the forum). <THE FOLLOWING IS WHAT WOULD HAVE BEEN MY SIGNATURE> In my opinion, the best English Qur'an translations are: Ali Quli Qarai, Sheikh Muhammad Sarwar, Mir Ahmed Ali. 5. How does a Shia respond to this? I thought it was just Sunni? Brethren of Sincerity The Sabians were an important influence on the fifty-two treatises of the Ikhwan al Safa wa Khullan al Wafa, or “The Brethren of Sincerity and Loyal Friends,” a brotherhood that flourished in the city of Basra in Iraq, which was an important source of inspiration for much of Sufi tradition, as well as Jewish scholars of Kabbalah.[14] It is also generally agreed that the Epistles of the Ikhwan al Safa wa Khullan al Wafa were composed by leading proponents of the Ismailis, a sect of the Shia.[15] According to the Jewish Encyclopedia, the Shia sect was founded by a Yemeni Jew named Abdallah ibn Saba who embraced Islam. When Mohammed’s son-in-law Ali became Caliph, Abdallah ascribed divine honors to him whereupon Ali banished him. After Ali’s assassination, Abdallah is said to have taught that Ali was not dead but alive, that a part of the Deity was hidden in him and that after a certain time he would return to fill the Earth with justice. Until then, the divine character of Ali was to remain hidden in the Imams, who temporarily filled his place. As the Jewish Encyclopedia notes, “It is easy to see that the whole idea rests on that of the Messiah in combination with the legend of Elijah the Prophet.”[16] This office of Imam was thought among the Shia to have been passed on directly from Ali to the sixth Imam, Jafar as-Sadiq, and then on through to the twelfth Imam, who disappeared in 873 AD. The Shia majority, following twelve Imams, were known as Twelvers. Some of Jafar’s followers, however, remained loyal to his son Ismail, and were known as Ismailis, or Seveners.
  6. Assalamu alaykum wa rahmatullahi wa barkatuh, Dear brothers and sisters, I don't know how to begin telling this, but the problem is that I'm in something of a fix. A while ago, I had emailed a question to sistani.org. As everyone here knows, they take a lot of time to respond, so I emailed najaf.org as well, since they respond relatively quicker. The question was about a personal issue I'd rather not discuss here in public, so please don't mind that. But now that I have received the replies from both the websites, I see that the fatawa given are contradictory to each other. I initially thought that it must have been a typing error, but when I ran a search, I found that najaf.org has been giving the same reply for at least the past three years (they've been shared by other brothers as well), and that's too long a time for a discrepancy to not be caught and rectified. To double check if it wasn't a mistake, I re-sent the mail to najaf.org, and their reply has been the same i.e. contradictory to the one sent by sistani.org. What should I do in this situation? How do I know if the verdict of his eminence (ha) has changed, and hence the discrepancy and contradiction?

  8. Salamun Alaykum I found this website that claims that it will give too much money. What is your idea? [Edit] Can I trust it or not? Best regards
  9. Salam Everyone! I am a Sunni, and I strongly oppose the IslamQA website. That website is giving Islam a bad name and making Islam look bad. In fact, that websites was also banned in Saudi Arabia for its absurd fatwas. However, worshipers of that idiotic website are so brainwashed by that website that they start to call everyone a "Kaffir"and an "innovator" who exposes the lies and misinterpretations of that website. IslamQA says that it's haram for a woman to drive cars. It also says that Muslims who are living in Non-Muslim countries are sinning. They also say that women can never be more intelligent than men and the only way a woman can be more intelligent than man is if they deliberately allow a man to surpass them in intelligence!! BULL[Edited Out]!!

  13. Dear Friends, Does anyone know of an Australian web site design company? It is for a medium small job - a simple but effective design for a single website. It needs to be set up from scratch, and then maintained. I like to deal with people locally, although it may be that I have to contract the job overseas. Let me know if you can recommend anyone.
  14. Selam Guys, I have been working on unique ways to educate the masses. ------------------- THE HUMAN BODY MENTIONED IN QURAN http://www.OrganisedQuran.com/#!physicalbody/c1hz2 Select your body part and every mention of your selection in Quran The selection choices are: Head; which includes Hair, Forehead, Eyes, Nose, Ears, Mouth, Cheeks and Chin Neck, Body, Arms, Hands, Genitalia, Legs, Feet or Miscellaneous to the right ------------------- PROPHET STUDY TOOL http://www.OrganisedQuran.com/#!prophet-study-tool/csl2 What I've done is taken every reference and life of each prophet and put it together. So rather than having to read through every Surah to find the prophet's account, its all filtered ready to be studied I also added colour (for example disbelievers are red, message from Allah green, the selected prophet is yellow) so the reader can easily identify the speaker. ------------------- NON PROPHET STUDY TOOL http://www.OrganisedQuran.com/#!non-prophets/c6k4 Same as prophet study tool but includes characters mentioned by name in the Quran who aren't prophets ------------------- EVERY NUMBER MENTIONED IN QURAN http://www.OrganisedQuran.com/#!numbers/cfqj ------------------- EVERY PLANT MENTIONED IN QURAN http://www.OrganisedQuran.com/#!plants/cjax ------------------- EVERY ANIMAL MENTIONED IN QURAN http://www.OrganisedQuran.com/#!animals/ce0i ------------------- EVERY BIRD MENTIONED IN QURAN http://www.OrganisedQuran.com/#!birds/c22uv ------------------- EVERY INSECT MENTIONED IN QURAN http://www.OrganisedQuran.com/#!insects/c1cq ------------------- QURAN SPREADSHEET It contains a concordance maker in a macro for all those who want it (what that means is every Ayat that contains your selected filtered word will be displayed in Arabic, transliteration and English) WATCH VIDEO FOR HELP http://www.OrganisedQuran.com/#!quran-spreadsheet/c3jo ------------------- MY OTHER SITE If you want a complete Quran with the concordance within it the please refer to br Waleeds Quran site which I am in charge of his Quran section. Got to www.islamawakened.com/index.php/qur-an Select your Ayat. Select the tab "word for word" (Each word has an audio to hear it's pronunciation) Under each word are Arabic hyperlinked letters, these letters are called root letters. When selected every instance of the words ROOTS is displayed. In Arabic, Transliteration and English. ROOT LETTERS IS THE MOST ADVANCED WAY OF STUDYING THE QURAN. IT SUBSTANTIALLY REDUCES HUMAN ERROR OF THE TRANSLATION What is root letters? If you speak a European language, the root system of Arabic may be an unfamiliar concept. Arabic words are made from a few component letters, commonly called a "root". A root usually consists of three letters (sometimes 2 or 4), which convey a basic idea. By adding various vowels (i.e. changing pronunciation) as affixes*, associated meanings can be derived. For example, the Arabic letters: Siin–Lam–Miim س ل م ( remembering Arabic words go from right to left, unlike English) are the root for the following words: salaam (peace), islam (submission/compliance/conformance/surrender), muslim (one who submits/complies/conforms/surrenders). In all these words, you will see the root (component letters) are the same, and in the same order. In a root language, words mean what they mean because they are built from other words; these base words are called roots. Now, while most languages are concept languages, there are some words that can be likened to the root system, e.g: if you learn what the word "act" means, you should have no problem when you hear the word "actor" or "action" - you use the root to understand the word built from the root. Classical Arabic as one of the most primitive Semitic languages is primarily a root language. Almost every word gets its meaning from the roots it is built from rather than by associating a concept with the word. This gives Arabic an almost crystal clear aspect to it; there is little ambiguity or confusion in a classical Arabic sentence. The language is one of clarity, directness, and certainty - qualities that are hard to achieve in other languages. I have also added Laleh Bakhtiar short concordance and for every word Iand show a dictionary meaning from Hans Wehr. Insha'Allah this helps you all in your studies.
  15. بسم الله الرحمن الرحیم السلام علیکم hojatollah.com website has been established in order to spread great Shia culture to the whole world and present shia ethics and spirituality to everyone. In addition to that, many of our shia brothers & sisters throughout different parts of the world don't have access to hadith and other sources because of either the sources not being translated or even having problem finding the sources. For example wasail ul shia which is one of the greatest shia sources hasn't been translated completely and you can find topics in this forum which people are looking for the translation and they haven't found it though it has passed years from the topic's start. This website intends to develop a complete portal for hadith, dua, ziarat, etc. in different languages and provide it fi sabilallah in the internet. Right now, the Arabic and Persian versions of the hadiths are available and the application's software and hardware are ready. We ask help from those who are interested in this field to translate the materials. Please inform us through the email khadem@hojatollah.com or use this form.

  19. http://www.facesofsuicide.com/ According to the World Health Organization, almost one million (1,000,000) people die from suicide each year. In the last 45 years, suicide rates have increased 60% worldwide. In the United States, there is an average of one suicide every 15 minutes. This site was created to help us remember some of the names and faces of people from all over the world whose deaths were self-inflicted. Click on a picture to view more information about the person, and for links to their memorial pages. We hope to show visitors that suicide is a tragic end to lives that once had great potential. Most of all, however, we hope to plant seeds of compassion in the hearts of those who view these faces: seeds that may develop into a commitment to understanding suicide and finding solutions. This site is dedicated to the parents, family members and friends left behind. It was originally created on September 8, 2007, and rebuilt after a server crash in February 2011. New faces are submitted daily.
  20. Read this first please to avoid giving money to a website that seeks to harm you by tricking you into giving them money: http://www.shiachat.com/forum/index.php?/topic/235001901-marriage-muslims-iranian-arabs-turks-must-read/ I warned people about a site called "Iranian.com" -- it is NOT run by normal Iranians, but by members of the Bahai cult, the MEK (a terror group), and zionist Jews. (They pretend to be regular Iranians and stir conflict among people and seek to defame Muslims. They also trick people into giving them money from other websites -- make sure to read the first link. Many of the commentators use false Iranian names.) On that site they now advertise the following (their words not mine): "Ayatollah Golpayegani must be arrested and brought on trial in the International Criminal Court (ICC) of the Hague. This poster offers a reward of 1 million dollars to anyone who apprehends this "Grand Criminal" ALIVE!" http://www.iranian.com/main/2012/may/wanted-alive
  21. Ban me Edit: or unregister me instead. I believe my posts may have been beneficial and if I am banned no one will read them. Please unregister me. I do not want to be distracted by shiachat.
