Asslam Alaikum, Q: A person meets the conditions for which qasar namaz should be offered. Now, at mosque, where he is going to offer the prayer, will be lead in full. So what is recommended in this situation ? 1.Offer full prayer with Jammat. 2.Offer the qasar namaz with jammat. (Traveler will finish qasar namaz before others. What to do while others continue to pray. Just sit ...?? ) 3.Refrain from Jammat and offer individual prayer only. __________________________________________________________________ Ya QAEM ALAJAL
I tried to understand for years but still have not figured out the actual ruling. What is the rule for a person living in a metropolitan area, say Paris or London. Do his/her commuting to remote suburbs (more than 21 km) count as travelling even though he/she is still considered to be in the great London/Paris, thus not an out of towner ? Or does tarakhus (boundaries) begin at the end of the metropolitan area?
I was reading things online and I am confused about travelling rules and fasting during the month of Ramadhan. Last Monday, I left my house at 10:30am (after fajr) to reach my parents' house around 1:15pm (after zhur), which is about 145 km (90 miles) away from my house. I left my parents' house Tuesday afternoon at 5pm to reach my house at about 7pm. I fasted on both Monday and Tuesday. When I'm at my parents' house, I always offer full prayers. Were my fasts valid or do I have to make them up? What is the limit (km/mi) for it to be considered a travel? Am I supposed to offer shortened prayers when i go to my parents'? Jazakallah Khairan for your answers! (wasalam)
