“We send not the angels down except for just cause: if they came (to the ungodly), behold! no respite would they have!” (15:8) Is it: because if the angels would be sent down and made visible to the disbelievers they would consider them mere humans and thus incur the wrath of God? because there would be no doubt in the truth of Islam as the disbelievers have seen the unseen and thus shall be given no respite (like Pharaoh in his moment of death?
