  1. Started a new thread for this since I am baffled and the other thread is going in different directions. [someone] stated that ghuluw is only calling Imams as God. Everything else is game on. What is everyone's thoughts on this. I find this to be shirk in itself. Of course he presented a narration to support this. But this narration is in clear violation of the Quran. We read Surah Ikhlas several times a day in which Allah says, there is nothing like him. Yet, this brother says Imams can be just like Allah, but it is only ghuluw to call them Allah. Is this a fringe opinion or is this a widespread belief? Please pitch in.
  2. For context, I am a sunni who wants to become a shia, but something has always lingering in my head. I was invited to go to a shia masjid for ashura. I went there, and had an interesting day. The event that made me doubt shia islam, is when I am leaving. A man gives me a hand shaped thing with an evil eye on it. I tell him that the evil eye is shirk, but he said that it is a different type. Ever since then, it has been lingering to me, the hand shaped thing thing, which I found out was a hamza hand, is used by Jess for protection, and evil eye is shirk since it is believed to protect you. The shia talismans, or the thing you add on the Alam flags, those also gave me concerns, as that can be seen as shirk. I need a proper person, or a holy shia muslim to please help me answer this: if allah declared amulets, and talismans as shirk, why do shia Muslims do it, also, even I it has Islamic verses, can't you just read a dua to protect yourself from evil?
  3. Is it shirk to follow what a marja says as in a way you are almost blindly following what they say without them giving any daleel (proof) of what they say.
  4. According to the Qur'an, asking for someone's prayer or intercession is a form of shirk in lordship if the one who is entreated is regarded as acting independently and without God's permission.[42] what does this mean? What is independently?
  5. The Site islamqa.com saysasking help from saints or Imams for shifa is major shirk!
  6. Im confused on what associate partners means in the Holy Quran(English translation). some say it means make equal to others means to join in worshio or join with Allah. Which does it mean?
  7. I recently watched this Youtube video (which is in Urdu). I watch these type of videos now and then. But this video has stressed me so much. As I know that Shirk is unforgivable and the biggest sin, I am scared of even practising Salah. During Salah or Prayer, millions of things and thoughts come and go through my mind. In this video, the scholar says that 99% of people are committing shirk, because people who think of someone else during prayer, are doing shirk. I just THINK he is wrong(Its just my opinion, so please correct me if I'm wrong). Shirk is simply worshipping someone else besides Allah, or compare someone else with Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى). I do not think that I am worshipping of whom I am thinking (Naa'oozu billah). I cannot stop myself from thinking other things. I know I am standing in front of Allah during prayer, but thinking of someone or something else during prayer doesn't make it shirk. If I am wrong so please correct me, I will really appreciate it, and I will try my best to think of nothing but Allah during Prayer(Salah).
  8. 1. Does Shaitan and/or evil jinn know what we are doing? How often are they around? 2 Does saying "a'udhu billahi min ash shaytani rajim" remove the evil jinn from our vicinity? Similarly, does the start of Salah or even Adhan or even Wudu remove them from our vicinity? 3. Sometimes, one gets random waswas of Shirk that goes against everything you believe logically and spiritually, yet for some reason you still entertain the possibility of it's truth (astaghfirullah), and then these thoughts linger... how do you ignore these thoughts, because they can be VERY bothersome.
  9. Is it permissible to play games in which characters refer to other characters as 'lord'?
  10. I feel like I'm losing faith in shiism. So many things such as the building of shrines above the graves of the Imams never made sense to me and people calling out Imam Ali and not Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى) is reminiscent of what Christians do as in calling out Isa. Channels such as the Sunni defense and anti majos also negatively effects my faith. The thought of there being a chance that we could somehow be Mushriks by taking part in these things are quite concerning. Also things such as prominent Sunni scholars of the past whom are very educated have given fatwas denouncing Shias as being kafirs. In addition things such as the claim Shias are the dominant sect in Iran because of the invasion of the safavids and how a persian nationalist contributed to this as well is also very concerning. Also the claim that Shia hadith is inauthentic and there being anonymity in them unlike Sunni hadith with chains of narrators and clarity. What most worries me is the shirk committed by the aforementioned shrine visiting and the thought this is good for your religion and calling other than Allah. Need help quickly, thank you.
  11. Read the Reddit comments to understand what the thread was about, since the post has since been deleted. ....................................................................................... I'm so tired of the utterly nonsensical and VERY COMMON Sunni notion of 'I am happy to seek unity with Shias as long as they don't curse/insult/abuse any Sahaba, and especially NOT Aisha, Abu Bakr, Omar, Uthman. Firstly, any Shia claim regarding the sahabi that happens to go against the Sunni narrative is considered insulting. Secondly, and more importantly, is that the same notion is true for Shias... You are insulting the Ahlul Bayt by not accepting them as divinely appointed leaders of Allah, and infallible individuals, and perfect preservers of the religion of Islam, and a high means of seeking closeness to Allah (intercession). Not only are you insulting revered Shia figures by not following them, you are commiting MAJOR shirk by giving a false attribute to Allah, by saying that Allah has not always appointed an infallible leader on this Earth, and that there currently isn't an infallible leader. Furthermore, the real kicker is that plenty of revered Shia figures, such as Abu Talib (رضي الله عنه), are considered kuffar by Sunnis. Is this not insulting? So, how can we Shias unite with Sunnis based on their own fallacious logic? Shias are the minority, and Sunnis are the majority. It makes Sunnis think that they are Orthodox and that they have to unite with Heterodox for political and humanitarian reasons, and that Shias must make [ridiculous] compromises. Shias are far more receptive to the unity message, because we actually understand Sunni Islam, and can see the commonalities. We understand that we can't make Sunnis compromise on their beliefs. Simply by being the minority within Islam, by nature we Shias already understand Sunni beliefs, whereas Sunnis have a basic strawman understanding of Shia beliefs... which is natural, considering that they are the majority. Anyways, the point of my post is the following: Let's compile a list of revered Shia figures that are not given their proper status by Sunnis, according to Shia Islam... with an explanation given. ...This is to show that we Shias and Sunnis can unite, but we cannot unite upon revered figures and imamah. ...This will also serve as a way of showing Sunnis that this argument of theirs makes no sense. Another important question we may ask is "What about commonly revered figures like Imam Ali (عليه السلام) who is given different status in both sects? Can we unite upon Imam Ali (عليه السلام)?" ...a common Sunni criticism of political unity is that "Ali ibn Abi Talib (رضي الله عنه) is given an improper status in Shia religion because they call upon him... tawassul (intercession) of the 'dead' is Shirk! So there is absolutely no room for unity since we can't even agree on the status of the sahabi" [yes, I am aware that the Imams (عليه السلام) are still alive, but Sunnis don't believe this...] I would love to hear your thoughts. Wassalam. JazakAllah Khair. Fi sabilillah.
  12. Bismillah, ar-Rahman, ar-Rahim AsSalaamu Alaykum, If you can define, “ Shirk” and what actually constitutes Shirk, based on your understanding of the term Shirk. ws, Layman.
  13. I am a layman, an average person with average or below average knowledge/intellect. But certain things are very clear to us lay/average people. One of them is this Slogan of 'Only Allah". I do not know which "The God" they are referring to when they say/demand 'Only God" in Command in the past, and "worship" today. https://www.al-islam.org/nahjul-balagha-part-1-sermons/sermon-184-keep-silent-may-Allah-disgrace-you ***** Today- its related to this phantom concept of their "version/definition" of the concept "Worship". This Slogan which on the surface looks True was/is Utilized by the ones looking to gain power/worldly gains. Causing many issues among the Muslims and is used as a rally point to plunder the wealth/property/land/places of worships/women & children and lives. What is the reality of this call “ Only Allah” 1)Who is this God that call on? 2)How did this God communicate with them, Was it a direct communication? 3)How did this Group come to know of this God? 4)How do they understand what this God wants from them? 5)How do they prove what they understand is this God’s command to others? 6)How many Gods are there, every group/Individual in every age has a different interpretations of this God's commands? 7) Did the some Arabs, especially at or after the conquest of Mecca- who worshiped many gods, said let verbally accept one god, for political reasons, but we will undermine this man. 8) Why did Qur'an keeps reminding the Believers to Obey the Messenger of Allah(awj)? 9) Why they did not acknowledge the Authority of the Messenger of Allah(awj)? 10) How was this notion, used by internal and external enemy in the past and today to undermine Islam? ***** https://www.al-islam.org/nahjul-balagha-part-1-sermons/sermon-7-they-have-made-satan-master-their-affairs ***** These three Topic Shirk/Quranist/Psychological Warfare are important in this discussion. http://www.shiachat.com/forum/topic/235034818-a-dialogue-on-your-understanding-of-shirk/ http://www.shiachat.com/forum/topic/235037162-the-quranist-movement/ http://www.shiachat.com/forum/topic/235035658-psychological-warfare-on-the-internet/
  14. I’ve always been religious and started praying at a young age by myself. It was just me and Allah- like Allah was my only friend. One day I watched a video on YouTube and it said that how Allah is so far away. I felt like Allah was really faraway. Slowly it started becoming is Allah really there? I know it says that Allah’s closer to our jugular vein but I just I don’t know. My Imaan is so weak that the belief in Allah is going up and down. One minute it’s there an the next minute it’s not. It’s like my heart doesn’t want to accept like I feel a tightening in my chest. I want to have that connection again. I’m 18 and people usually come to me for advice like my cousins, aunties, school mates and friends. I feel SO fake. They will go to heaven not me. It seems like my heart wants to accept other fake religions but I know that if I do I will go to hell. I can’t get these shirk thoughts of Jesus being the... I can’t even say it. It’s like I’m starting to believe what’s in my head. Help! The religion Islam feels like a burden but I’m constantly asking Allah to guide me to the right way. I want to understand Islam simply. It’s like other people believe and I don’t because my heart is blind. I see so many Christians convert to Islam but there I am. Was I doomed from the beginning? I have a very low tolerance for pain and really don’t want to go hell. I’m scared. I want to die a shaheedan! Why is this happening to me? I know that if I were to die right now I would go hell. Yet the people around me who take advice from me and benefit from me will think I’ve gone heaven. I cry so much and try to have hope but I can’t. I haven’t told any family members or any friends. I really can’t.

  16. A'uzobilla himinash Shaitaanir rajeem. Bismillahir Ra'hmaanir Ra'heem. Assalaamu Alaikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barkatuhu. I mean no offence. A hadith says that after reciting Sura Kaafirun and going to sleep makes reciter immune (i.e, a barrier) from Shirk. What does it mean by "immunity" and "barrier"? Those who recite or have started to recite, do you notice any change? (And please, no debates) Thanks in advance.
  17. I do not know this question is worthy to ask or not but I am asking to clear some concepts I want to ask can we call Imam direct to help us ?. Considering that Allah power belong to Allah and Imam can help with the will and power of God because in reality there is no existence except the Almighty "La Moujood Ilallah" 1- if No then i want to understand this authentic dua (Azm-Al-Bala) in which we seek direct Help from Prophet Muhammad saww, Imam Ali a.s and Hujat Ibn-il-Hassan a.s. يَا مُحَمَّدُ يَا عَلِيُّ y¡ mu¦ammadu y¡ `aliyyu O Muhammad! O `Ali يَا عَلِيُّ يَا مُحَمَّدُ y¡ `aliyyu y¡ mu¦ammadu O `Ali O Muhammad! انْصُرَانِي فَإِنَّكُمَا نَاصِرَايَ un¥ur¡n¢ fa'innakum¡ n¡¥ir¡ya (Please) support me, for you both do support me, وَٱكْفِيَانِي فَإِنَّكُمَا كَافِيَانِ wakfiy¡n¢ fa'innakum¡ k¡fiy¡ni and save me, for you both do save. يَا مَوْلاَيَ يَا صَاحِبَ ٱلزَّمَانِ y¡ mawl¡ya y¡ ¥¡¦iba alzzam¡ni O my master! O Patron of the Age! ٱلْغَوْثَ ٱلْغَوْثَ ٱلْغَوْثَ alghawtha alghawtha alghawtha (I beseech you for) relief! (I beseech you for) relief! (I beseech you for) relief! ادْرِكْنِي ادْرِكْنِي ادْرِكْنِي adrikn¢ adrikn¢ adrikn¢ (Please do) come to my aid! (Please do) come to my aid! (Please do) come to my aid! This dua'a is attributed to the living Imam Mehdi (atfs). It brings immediate help from our living imam. It is recommended to be recited often by Ulama .Kafami says in his book Baladul Amin that if a wrongfully confined prisoner recites this dua'a he will soon be set free.If a person find himself surrounded by misfortunes or intrigues he must recite this dua'a to come through tight situations, deadlock and crises. In Nad-e-Ali we also seek for help from Imam Ali a.s...... 2- If yes then how we interpret "Iyaka na bodo wa iyaka nastaieeeen" in which it is stated that "We worship You alone, and beg You alone for help."
  18. Salamun Alaikum va Rahmatullah I would like to share a video that in this video it seems a Shia mullah is teaching and declaring the belief of tafviz, tafviz is considered shirk and kufr in the view of Ahlul Bait (AS). Through out history such groups have been always cursed and rejected by Ahlul Bait (AS). من زعم ان اللَّه عزوجل فوّض امر الخلق والرزق الى حججه فقد قال بالتفويض والقائل بالتفويض مشرك». عيون الاخبار الرضا، ص 124 Ali ibn Musa al-Riza (the eight imam of twelvers) said : Whoever believes that Allah (Azza wa Jalla) has submitted (given the authority of) the affairs of creation and rizgh to his hujjats (prophets or imams) he has believed in tafviz and whoever believes in tafviz he is a mushrik (polytheist). I want to know whether this video is fake or anybody knows this mullah. I want to know whether I am misunderstanding this man or not. It seems he is saying that nowadays the affairs of everything is submitted to Imam Mahdi (AS) excluding Allah. While the true belief of Shia is that Mahdi (AS) is only the mediate between earth and sky. And he is the servant of Allah and he does everything by the permission of Allah. There is a big difference. Please watch the all video and pay attention to what he says carefully. Thank You in Advance
  19. Salam 1. Do Shias do shirk and why? 2. Are the imams more worth than the prophet in a Shias eye and why? 3. WHY ARE THERE DIFFERENT ISLAMIC SHARIA LAW IN DIFFERNET COUNTRIES 4. Why do Shias love Imam Khomeini when the shah was also Muslim and after Khomeini came in Iran got messed up 5. Why do we have majras when most of them just destroy society 7, Everyone listen Iran is messed up the system is when shah has the country it was better why is that so 8. How do u pray the Shia way? 9. Why do Shias hit them self for imam Hussein when it's haram to hurt yourself did imam Hussein hit yourself a for me and in the Quran it says no associations exept with you and Allah. 10. If Allah is the most merciful why do people get death punishments and why do majras have to exist when most Marjas have messed up socites 11. Is it true that any imam attacked Iran or othe prophet attacked other country's for no reason i have really really been searching and looking for these answers for a long time I want some evidence to thank you brothers and sitsters
  20. بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم Assalam o Alaikum, Wa Rehmatullah, Wa Barakatuhu. Many Muslims incorrectly assume that idol worship is restricted to worshipping statues or simply attributing other Gods with the Lord Almighty. Although statue worship and attributing other forms of deities with God is no doubt a form of idolatry, limiting it to this understanding is untenable from the Quran's perspective. Idol worship from the Quran's perspective can take many forms. Here are some examples: (1) ONE'S OWN EGO AND DESIRE AS AN IDOL 025.043 "Have you seen him who takes his desires (passion, impulse, lust) for his God? Will you then be a protector over him?" (2) INTERCESSORS AS IDOLS 010:018 “They serve, besides God, things that hurt them not nor profit them, and they say: "These are our intercessors with God." Say: "Do ye indeed inform God of something He knows not, in the heavens or on earth? Glory to Him! and far is He above the partners they ascribe (to Him)!"” (3) WORSHIP OF DEAD SAINTS AND PROPHETS AS IDOLATRY 016.020-21 “Those whom they invoke besides God create nothing and are themselves created. (They are things) dead, lifeless: nor do they know when they will be raised up” 018:102 “Do the Unbelievers think that they can take My servants as protectors besides Me? Verily We have prepared Hell for the Unbelievers for (their) entertainment” 017.056-57 “Say: "Call on those - besides Him - whom you fancy: they have neither the power to remove your troubles from you nor to change them." Those whom they call upon do desire (for themselves) means of access to their Lord which of those who are nearest and they hope for His Mercy and fear His Wrath: for the Wrath of thy Lord is something to take heed of” Prophets would never have allowed any form of idolatry and would have asked their followers to study the scripture instead. 003.079 “ It is not (possible) for any human that God should give him the Book and the wisdom and prophethood, then he should say to men: Be my servants rather than God's; but rather (he would say): Be worshippers of the Lord by virtue of your teaching the Book and your reading (it yourselves)” 003.080 “Nor would he instruct you to take angels and prophets for Lords and patrons. What! would he bid you to unbelief after ye have bowed your will (To God in Islam)?” But people claim they are doing nothing wrong: 039:003 “ Is it not to God that sincere devotion is due? But those who take for protectors other than God (say): "We only serve them in order that they may bring us nearer to God." Truly God will judge between them in that wherein they differ. But God guides not such as are false and ungrateful” Even though whom they seek help from are only servants and created beings like them: 007.194 “Indeed! those on whom you call beside God are slaves like you. Call on them now, and let them answer you, if ye are truthful!” (4) TAKING JINNS AS IDOLS 006.100 “Yet they make the Jinns equals with God, though God did create the Jinns; and they falsely, having no knowledge, attribute to Him sons and daughters. Praise and glory be to Him! (for He is) above what they attribute to Him!” (5) PROPERTY, GOODS AND ASSETS AS IDOLS 018:034 “And he had fruit. And he said to his comrade, when he spoke with him: I am more than you in wealth, and stronger in respect of men” 018:042 So his fruits (and enjoyment) were encompassed (with ruin), and he remained twisting and turning his hands over what he had spent on his property, which had (now) tumbled to pieces to its very foundations, and he could only say, "Woe is me! Would I had never ascribed partners to my Lord and Cherisher!" 018:043-44 "Nor had he numbers to help him against God, nor was he able to deliver himself. There, the (only) protection comes from God, the True One. He is the Best to reward, and the Best to give success" (6) HOLDING OTHER SOURCES OTHER THAN WHAT IS REVEALED AS IDOLS 006:019 Say: "What thing is most weighty in evidence?" Say: "God is witness between me and you; This Quran has been revealed to me by inspiration, that I may warn you and all whom it reaches. Can you possibly bear witness that besides God there is another God?" Say: "Nay! I cannot bear witness!" Say: "But in truth He is the one God, and I truly am innocent of (your blasphemy of) joining others with Him” 068.036 “What is the matter with you? How judge ye?” 068.037 “Or have ye a book through which ye learn” 068.038 “That ye shall have, through it whatever ye choose?” (7) RELIGIOUS LEADERS, SCHOLARS AND REVERED PERSONALITIES AS IDOLS 009:031 “They have taken as lords beside God their Rabbis and their Monks and the Messiah son of Mary, when they were bidden to worship only One God. There is no God save Him. Be He Glorified from all that they ascribe as partner (unto Him)!” Final Words: [04:48] Indeed, Allah does not forgive association with Him, but He forgives what is less than that for whom He wills. And he who associates others with Allah has certainly fabricated a tremendous sin. [04:116] Indeed, Allah does not forgive association with Him, but He forgives what is less than that for whom He wills. And he who associates others with Allah has certainly gone far astray. W.salam Jazak Allah Khairan.
  21. بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم Assalam o Alaikum, Wa Rehmatullah, Wa Barakatuhu. The most important, the most fundamental belief of Islam and the thing that causes one to enter Islam is belief in Tawheed (Oneness of Allah). "La ilaha illALLAH", There is no deity (khuda, god) except Allah. But what is meaning of "illah"? what are the things or characteristics that make someone "illah". Have you ever pondered over this thing? Answer is given by Allah in Quran, Surah Naml ayah 59 to 64. If someone's belief in Tawheed is correct as per teachings of Quran and Sunnah, then his/her other beliefs and customs/practices will also be correct or will have only a little problem. On the other hand if belief in Tawheed becomes wrong in any manner, then all other beliefs and customs will also have some problems. Because its the foundation of Islam, all other things come after this. For example consider the Jews and Christians, their main problem is their belief in Tawheed. Similarly there are many muslims (from both shia & sunni) who have some problems in their Tawheed. Read carefully. Surah Naml, Chapter 27, Verses 59-64, Translation: Sahih International. Say, [O Muhammad], "Praise be to Allah , and peace upon His servants whom He has chosen. Is Allah better or what they associate with Him?" [More precisely], is He [not best] who created the heavens and the earth and sent down for you rain from the sky, causing to grow thereby gardens of joyful beauty which you could not [otherwise] have grown the trees thereof? Is there a deity with Allah ? [No], but they are a people who ascribe equals [to Him]. Is He [not best] who made the earth a stable ground and placed within it rivers and made for it firmly set mountains and placed between the two seas a barrier? Is there a deity with Allah ? [No], but most of them do not know. Is He [not best] who responds to the desperate one when he calls upon Him and removes evil and makes you inheritors of the earth? Is there a deity with Allah ? Little do you remember. Is He [not best] who guides you through the darknesses of the land and sea and who sends the winds as good tidings before His mercy? Is there a deity with Allah ? High is Allah above whatever they associate with Him. Is He [not best] who begins creation and then repeats it and who provides for you from the heaven and earth? Is there a deity with Allah ? Say, "Produce your proof, if you should be truthful." If anyone apply/consider any of the above things/attributes as taught by Allah, for anyone except HIM then its like he/she has considered or taken that person/thing as an "illah" (deity). Thus he/she has commited shirk (i.e ascribed partners to Allah). Shirk is the only unforgivable sin, see Surah Nisa 48 and 116, except for those who repent, correct way of repentance is in Surah Nahl 119. It is the most important and basic obligation muslims owe to themselves, that to know and understand the meaning of shirk, its seriousness and its different types, so that our Tawheed become firm and complete. CAUTION: Beware of those among both the shias and sunnies who attribute such things to Ahlebait and other pious servants of Allah. Jazak Allah Khairan.
  22. Assalam O Alaikum, Wa Rehmatullah, Wa Barakatuhu. Surely Allah does not forgive shirk (associating any partner with Him); and may forgive sins other than that if He so pleases. This is because one who commits shirk with Allah, does indeed invent a great sinful lie. Surah Nisa 48 حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْجَعْدِ، قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا شُعْبَةُ، قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي مَنْصُورٌ، قَالَ سَمِعْتُ رِبْعِيَّ بْنَ حِرَاشٍ، يَقُولُ سَمِعْتُ عَلِيًّا، يَقُولُ قَالَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم"‏ لاَ تَكْذِبُوا عَلَىَّ، فَإِنَّهُ مَنْ كَذَبَ عَلَىَّ فَلْيَلِجِ النَّارَ ‏"‏‏ Narrated Ali: The Prophet ( ﷺ ) said, "Do not tell a lie against me for whoever tells a lie against me (intentionally) then he will surely enter the Hell-fire." Bukhari #106, Muslim #1 Shirk is the most sensitive issue in the sight of Allah. Abu Huraira said: The Prophet of Allah (ﷺ) said: There is for every apostle a prayer which is granted, but every prophet showed haste in his prayer. I have, however, reserved my prayer for the intercession of my Ummah on the Day of Resurrection, and it would be granted, if Allah so willed, in case of everyone amongst my Ummah provided he dies without associating anything with Allah. http://www.sunnah.com/muslim/1/399 Narrated `Abdullah: The Prophet (ﷺ) said one statement and I said another. The Prophet (ﷺ) said "Whoever dies while still invoking anything other than Allah as a rival to Allah, will enter Hell (Fire)." And I said, "Whoever dies without invoking anything as a rival to Allah, will enter Paradise." http://www.sunnah.com/urn/41790 Ibn 'Abbas (May Allah be pleased with them) reported: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, "If a Muslim dies and forty people, who do not associate anything with Allah in worship, participate in the funeral prayer over him, Allah will accept their intercession for him." http://www.sunnah.com/riyadussaliheen/7/39 IMAM ALI REZA A.S said… Source: Book Uyun Akhbar Reza, Chapter 46, Author Shaikh Sadooq. https://www.al-islam.org/uyun-akhbar-ar-ridha-volume-2-shaykh-saduq/chapter-46-what-has-been-narrated-ar-ridha-regarding Those who believe in transmigration or reincarnation are unbelievers. 46-2 Muhammad ibn Musa al-Mutawakkil - may God be pleased with him - narrated that Ali ibn Ibrahim ibn Hashem quoted on the authority of his father, on the authority of Ali ibn Ma’bad, on the authority of Al-Husayn ibn Khalid As-Sayrafi, “Abul Hassan Ar-Ridha’ (a.s.) said, ‘Whoever believes in transmigration is an unbeliever.’ Then he (a.s.) added: ‘May God damn the boasters. I wish they were Jews! I wish they were Magi! I wish they were Christians! I wish they were of the Qadarites! I wish they were of the Marja’ites! I wish they were of the Harawies!’ The Imam (a.s.) then added, ‘Do not associate with or be friends with the boasters. Despise them as God has.’” Those who believe Allah has turned over the affairs of His Religion to His Prophet (S) or to Ahlebait (A.S) are polytheist. 46-3 Muhammad ibn Ali Majilawayh - may God be pleased with him - narrated that Ali ibn Ibrahim ibn Hashem quoted on the authority of his father, on the authority of Yasir - the servant: I asked Ar-Ridha’ (a.s.), “What do you think about turning over the affairs?” He (a.s.) answered, “The Blessed the Sublime God has turned over the affairs of His Religion to His Prophet (S) and said, ‘…So take what the Apostle assigns to you, and deny yourselves that which he withholds from you..’ God, however, will not turn over the affairs of Creation and provision of the sustenance to the Prophet (S).” Then Ar-Ridha’ (a.s.) added, “In fact, the Honorable the Exalted God said, ‘…Allah is the Creator of all things…’ God also said, ‘It is Allah Who has created you: further, He has provided for your sustenance; then He will cause you to die; and again He will give you life. Are there any of your (false) ‘partners’ who can do any single one of these things? Glory be to Him! and high is He above the partners they attribute (to him)!’” 46-4 Muhammad ibn Ali ibn Abi Bashshar - may God be pleased with him - narrated that Abul Faraj al-Mudhaffar ibn Ahmad ibn Al-Hassan al-Qazvini quoted on the authority of Al-Abbas ibn Muhammad ibn Qasim ibn Hamza ibn Musa ibn Ja’far (a.s.), on the authority of Al-Hassan ibn Sahl al-Qummi, on the authority of Muhammad ibn Khalid, on the authority of Abi Hashem al-Ja’fari that he had asked Abal Hassan Ar-Ridha’ (a.s.) about the boasters and those who believed in (God) turning over (all) the affairs. The Imam (a.s.) replied, “The boasters are unbelievers and those who believe in (God) turning over (all) the affairs (to the Prophet (S)) are polytheists. Whoever associates with them; visits them; eats or drinks with them; becomes related to them; gives a daughter in marriage to or marries with one of their daughters; grants them immunity; considers them honest in keeping what they are entrusted with; or acknowledges what they say or assists them in what they say has exited from the circle of the Mastery of the Honorable the Exalted God, the Mastery of God’s Prophet (S) and the Mastery of us - the Members of the Holy Household.” Those who say Ahlebait cannot make mistakes or cannot forget are liars. 46-5 Tamim ibn Abdullah ibn Tamim al-Qurashi - may God have Mercy upon him - narrated that his father quoted on the authority of Ahmad ibn Ali Al-Ansari, on the authority of Abi Salt al-Harawi that he told Ar-Ridha’ (a.s.), “O son of the Prophet of God! There are people in the vicinity of Kufa who think that the Prophet (S) never made any mistakes when saying his prayers.” The Imam (a.s.) said, “May God damn them! They lie. The Only One who makes no mistakes is God - the One and Only.” Abi Salt al-Harawi added, “O son of the Prophet of God! There are people among them who think that Al-Husayn ibn Ali (a.s.) was not killed and God made someone else called Handhala ibn As’ad ash-Shami look like him (and be killed). And He raised Jesus (a.s.) - the son of (the Blessed Lady) Mary (a.s.) and the reason they present is by using the following verse, ‘…And never will God grant to the unbelievers a way (to triumphs) over the believers.’” The Imam (a.s.) replied, “They are lying. God’s Wrath and Curse be upon them! They have disbelieved in God by denying what the Prophet (S) has said about Al-Husayn ibn Ali (a.s.) being killed, ‘I swear by God that Al-Husayn ibn Ali (a.s.) will be killed.’ There is no doubt that Al-Husayn ibn Ali (a.s.) has been killed. Even the ones better than Al-Husayn ibn Ali (a.s.) - that is (Ali) the Commander of the Faithful (a.s.) and Al-Hassan ibn Ali (a.s.) were killed. There is no one of us who does not get killed. I swear by God that I will also be killed by being poisoned by a tricky unmanly person. I know this from the Trusted Covenant which we have inherited from God’s Prophet (S) that Gabriel delivered to him (a.s.) on behalf of the Lord of the Two Worlds. And the verse stated by the Honorable the Exalted God, ‘…And never will God grant to the unbelievers a way (to triumphs) over the believers’ provides the proof. This means that God has not granted the unbelievers any proofs superior to those of the believers. There is no doubt that the Honorable the Exalted God has informed us that the unbelievers have unrightfully killed the Divine Prophets without having any proofs or reasons. Thus God has not left any ways for them to have any proofs against His Prophets (a.s.).” Prayer of Imam Ali Reza (A.S) Source: Bihar-ul-Anwar vol-25/343. http://dlia.ir/kotob/arabic/531/beharo_al_anvar_025/index.html O Allah, verily, I disassociate myself before you from the strength and power. There is no strength and power except with you. O Allah, verily, i seek refuge in you and disaasociate myself before you from those who claim for us what is not true for us. O Allah, verily i disassociate myself before you from those who say regarding us what we have not said about ourselves. O Allah, to you belong the creation and from you is the provision. You do we worship and from You we do seek help. O Allah, You are our creator and the creator of our first fathers and our last fathers. O Allah, lordship is not suitable except with you. and Divinity befits non except for You. O Allah, verily we are your slaves and sons of your slaves. We have no power over ourselves in respect of benefit or harm, nor death, life or resurrection. O Allah, whoever claims that we are lords, then we are free from him, whoever claims that to us is the power of creation and providing sustenance, then we are free from him. We are free from him like Issa is free from the christians. O Allah, we have never called them to what they claim, so do not take us into account fro what they say and forgive us for they claim. My Lord do not leave upon the earth from them an inhabitant, indeed if you leave them they will mislead your servants and not beget except wicked one and disbeliever. 23. There are almost daily questions/comments from ShiaChatters about this, that and the other being shirk. Only attaching any of the sifaat (attributes) of Allah to a creation is SHIRK. Nothing else is and as such, we can choose to do tawassul through the Prophet and his holy progeny without being accused of shirk. Sifaat-e-Sabootiya (Attributes Allah possesses): 1. QADEEM God is eternal. He has neither a beginning nor an end 2. QAADIR God is Almighty. He has power and control of everything 3. AALIM Allah is Omniscient. He knows everything. Nothing remains secret from Him 4. MUDRIK God is aware of all affairs. He is All-Hearing and All-Seeing 5. HAIY God is alive and will be so forever 6. MUREED God does all things according to His own will and intentions 7. MUTAKALLIM God can infuse speech in anything e.g trees , stones etc. 8. SADIQ God is true in His all affairs Sifaat-e-Salbiya (Attributes Allah does not possess): 1. NOT MURAKKAB Allah is not made or composed of any material 2. NOT JISM Allah does not possess a body 3. NOT MAKAAN Allah does not have a place of abode. He exists everywhere 4. NOT HULOOL Allah does not admixture with anyhting nor does anything admixture with Allah 5. NOT MARAIY Allah is never seen and will never be seen 6. NOT MAHALL-E-HAWADIS Allah is not subject to changes. No change of state takes place in Him 7. NOT SHAREEK Allah is without a partner. He is the one and only 8. NOT SIFAT-E-ZAYAD BAR ZAAT Allah and these attributes are with His being and not attached
  24. Wahhabis say, traveling to visit the prophet's grave is Shirk and prohibited. Visitation of the prophet's grave (Ziarah) is recommended in Islam. Allamah Shirbini al_Shafiei says, Visitation of the prophet's grave is Sunnah, because the prophet said, whoever comes to visit me and no request urged him to travel except visiting me, I would be his intercessor on the Day of resurrection. (It is narrated as well in Assaha Al_Ma'thourah by Ibn Sokun) In Sahih Bukhari, Imam Bukhari narrated that prophet said, whoever beside my grave recites Salawat to me, Allah commands an angle to convey the Salawat to me and I would be his intercessor on the Day of resurrection. So the visitation of the prophet's grave is one of the best deeds and makes you closer to God. Mughni Al_Muhtaj, v2, p 238.
