If you click on any of the five choices, you are pretty unique! Congratulations! PLEASE NOTE: "Unique" has NO basis in fiqh. It is NOT a valid way of making taqlid. I am simply curious. I am weird, and this type of stuff interests me.

Love God through your actions, not sayings Date: 21/12/2001 A.D Shawal 6, 1422 H By: Sayyed Muhammad Hussein Fadlullah (ra) One of the teachings of the Islamic doctrine that tells us how to demonstrate our belief in the oneness of God is by loving Allah and asking Him to love us. We love God, and except God to love us… Our relationship with God should be based on love. Even when we fear Allah we are not afraid of Him as we are afraid of tyrants. For Allah does not persecute or wrong anyone. We are afraid of Allah as we are afraid to lose the love of someone whom we love. In that case, we would try not to do anything that might offend him and we would rather do everything that he likes, to ensure that this love will go on and will keep getting stronger. Thus, we fear Allah by not disobeying Him, for we are afraid to lose His love, and consequently His compassion and forgiveness. Allah has told us in the Holy Quran about how to love Him. He said: “Yet of mankind are some who take unto themselves objects of worship which they set as rivals to Allah, loving them with a love like (that which is the due) of Allah only). Those who believe are stauncher in their love for Allah -Oh, that those who do evil had but known, (on the day) when they behold the doom, that power belong wholly to Allah”. They take other people as equal to Allah, and obey them. But those should know that Allah alone is worth this kind of love. After all, we might love people because of their beauty, knowledge strength or because they were good to us. If we turn to Allah, we find out that He is the one Who created us, and gave us life, beauty, strength and graces… He is the source of all strength, beauty, wealth…etc, and those who are strong or beautiful and the like have gained their attributes from Allah. Therefore, if we want to love other people because of certain traits that they possess, we should love God more for He is the One Who created them and gave them these traits. Therefore, praise belongs to Allah alone, and we love other people because they are nearer to Allah, we love the prophets, because they are the beloved messengers of Allah. Thus, love is for Allah alone, and any love for others is associated with the love of Allah But how do we love God? Loving God could only be manifested by obeying Him and His Messenger. For the Messenger’s instructions are those of God; Aren’t we commanded in the Quran to take what the Messenger gives us, and refrain from what he prohibits us. If you abide by this rule then you love Allah, for if you love someone you would obey him. Let us now read some of the texts that teach us how to love Allah, and who are those that Allah loves and those that He does not. When Jesus Christ (p.) was asked about what could be done to make Allah love us, He said” hate this world, you will be loved by Allah”. But Jesus (p.) did not mean that we ought to leave the world and stop earning our living. What he meant was that we should not let this world be our only concern in such a way that happiness in this world is the only happiness and misery in this world is the only misery. Allah told Muhammad (p.) while he was ascending to the sky that Allah loves all those who love Him and love each other and depend on Him. He also told His Messenger that Allah’s love has no end or goal. Moreover, Imam As-Sadiq (a.s.) said that Allah said: “There is no way that My servants (can show their love to Me, better, than performing the duties I ordained. The Messenger also told us that Allah loves those who are prudent and forgiving when they are angered. Imam Al Baqir, on his part, warned us that we cannot love Allah unless we hate and confront His enemies. He also said: “Who always mentions death –will be loved by Allah” For he remembers always that he is going to meet Allah. The Messenger told one of the believers who asked about how to become one of these loved by Allah and His Messenger that he should love what Allah and His Messenger love and hate what they hate. Allah loves those who “spend of your substance in the cause of Allah, and make not your own hands contribute to your destruction, but do good; For Allah loves those who do good” .Be good to people and learn the joy of giving. Allah loves those who like to give.He also “Loves those that true to Him in repentance and purity themselves” If you sin remember to turn to Allah for forgiveness, for He loves those who repent and promise never to go back to disobeying Him. He also loves those who fight for His cause and do not become weak if they meet hardships. “And with how many a prophet have there been a number of devoted men who fought (beside him). They quailed not for aught that befell them in the way of Allah, nor did they weaken, nor were they brought low. Allah loves the steadfast”. Allah also loves those who endure whatever happens to them and who are always patient. He also loves those who are merciful and good hearted. He says to His Messenger in the Holy Quran “It was by the mercy of Allah that thou was lenient with them(O Muhammad), for if thou had been stern and fierce of heart, they would have dispersed from round about thee. So pardon them and ask forgiveness for them and consult with them upon the conduct of affairs. And when thou art resolved, then put they trust in Allah. Lo! Allah loves those who put their trust(in Him). By putting your trust in Allah, Allah means that you have to do all that you can to ensure that you will reach good results, and then if you become wary of the future, you should depend on Allah and put your trust in Him. Thus, putting your trust in Allah does not mean, that you sit at home and wish that everything you want will be sent to you. It is to be a hard worker, who does everything possible and then trusts that Allah will reward his work with the best results. Allah also loves the Just“But if thou judge, judge between them with equity. Lo! Allah loves the equitable”. And justice is absolute; it should be applied on all, even one’s parents “O ye who believed! Be ye staunch in Justice, witnesses for Allah even though it be against yourselves or(your) parents or (your) kindred, whether(the case be of) a rich man or a poor man, for Allah is nearer unto both(than you are). So follow not passion lest ye lapse(from truth) and if ye lapse or fall away, then lo! Allah is ever Informed of what ye do” even if it were with you enemies“O ye who believe! Be steadfast witnesses for Allah in equity, and let not hatred of any people seduce you that ye deal not justly. Deal justly, that is nearer to your duty. Observe your duty to Allah. Lo! Allah is Informed of what ye do”.Allah also loves those who uphold their unity“Lo! Allah loves those who battle for His cause in ranks as if they were a solid structure”. He wants the nation to freeze all its differences and be unified in any battle it fights against its enemies. Imam Zein al-Abideen(a.s.) says: “Allah loves all those who have sorrow in their hearts” because of their sins; “And every thankful worshipper”. Allah loves those who do good especially those who give charity in secret. Those whom Allah does not love are the aggressors “Fight in the way of Allah against those who fight against you, but begin not hostilities. Lo! Allah loves not aggressors”. He loves not those who engage in usury “Allah hath blighted usury and made almsgiving fruitful. Allah loves not the impious and guilty”. But He loves those who give in charity “The likeness of those who spend their wealth in Allah’s way is as the likeness of a grain which growth seven ears, in every ear a hundred grains. Allah gives increase manifold to which He will. Allah is All-Embracing, All-knowing”.He does not love the wrong doers“And as for those who believe and do good works, He will pay them their wages in full. Allah loves not wrongdoers”. The wrong doers are anyone who behaves with others or even with himself in a way that offends their rights. Imam Ali (a.s.) said: There are three kinds of wrongdoing: One that is forgivable, one that it is not forgivable and the third kind is the one that could not be left unpunished (as though nothing happened) the ones that is forgiven are the trivial wrong doings that one hurts himself with. The one that is not forgiven is ascribing partners to Allah; while the third kind is the wrong doing of others. Imam Ali says: “Never try to wrong do anyone who does not have anybody to support him except Allah”. Allah also does not love the treacherous “And plead not on behalf of(people) who deceive themselves. Lo! Allah loves not one who is treacherous and sinful”. And the boastful “Allah loves not such as are proud and boastful”. Our prophet Muhammad (p.) says: “Allah loves most those who do good to others”. Thus Allah wants us to be faithful to Him and to love Him by obeying Him and refrain from committing sins. Furthermore, our love for Him should be manifested by loving fellow men and benefiting them, when Christ (p.) says that Allah has made me blessed wherever I go, he meant that wherever I went I benefited people. Let us use our energy and potentials in this life, we should not let it die with us, but we should give it to those who need it. Let us work “soon will Allah observe your work and His Messenger and the believers”. http://english.bayynat.org.lb/Miscellaneous/Miscellaneous_LoveGod.htm

Sayyed Nasrallah to Takfiris: We will Capture You, We will Put an End to Terror Sara Taha Moughnieh Hezbollah Secretary General Sayyed Hasan Nasrallah delivered a speech on Friday, during a ceremony celebrating the seventh anniversary of victory in the July 2006 war. His eminence started his speech with a greeting to the martyrs and wounded who fell only one day before the celebration in the terrorist blast which hit Ruwais street in the Southern Suburb of Beirut. "I pray for the recovery of all the wounded from the large and dangerous terrorist attack, and I offer my condolences to the families of martyrs who fell, and to all those who were affected physically, mentally, spiritually, and on the material level yesterday. We highly appreciate, admire, and respect the patience of people and the citizens of Dahieh who held responsibility, and were conscious, disciplined, and civilized," he said. As he expressed gratitude for all those who stood in solidarity and denounced this painful event, Sayyed Nasrallah condemned the silence of some countries, considering that "days will prove that they support terrorism, murder, and crime taking place in our region". July 2006 victory put an end to "Greater Israel" project Sayyed Nasrallah initiated his statement with words about the victory, pointing out that "the celebration was arranged to take place in Aita Al-Shaab, because it overlooks occupied Palestine, and its air is Palestinian air. Hence, you are smelling the air of occupied Palestine, and you are gathering only a stone's throw away from the enemy." His eminence further stressed that Aita's significance was with its symbolic representation, especially with its good hearted and firm people, its brave heroes, its martyrs, and liberated captives. Sayyed Nasrallah talked about the faithfulness of the resistance fighters who were located in Aita Al-Shaab, referring to the devoutness of those men to the path of Master of Martyrs, Imam Hussein (pbuh). He also paid gratitude to the citizens of this village, who returned to their land just hours after ceasefire in 2006, and built tents over the ruins of their houses, to sit in them. "Your historic victory in the 25th of May 2000 defeated the "greater Israel" project, because the Israeli army, which failed to stay in Lebanon, the weakest Arab country, cannot build a state from the Nile to Furat. Then the 14th of August 2006 victory , defeated Israel's project of being a great country, which dominates and imposes its decisions on the region and on Iran," Sayyed Nasrallah added. Hezbollah Secretary General added that the July 2006 victory also proved that "this organized popular resistance, which is embraced by its people, is capable of forming real defense, at a time when the country does not have the capacities and technologies which the attacking enemy has, and the evidence on that was presented in the July war." In this context, Sayyed Nasrallah warned the Israeli enemy that the resistance will not allow one Israeli soldier to set a foot in the Lebanese territories, indicating that "we will not be tolerant in defending our villages, lands, and people." He further addressed the Israelis, saying: "The era of Israeli military tourism on the borders with Lebanon, and inside the Lebanese territories is over, with no return." Response to Dahieh blast is by duplicating number of fighters in Syria In another context, Sayyed Nasrallah tackled the recent assaults on Dahieh, specifically Thursday's tragic attack which left over 20 killed and hundreds wounded. He indicated that "targeting people and citizens in Dahieh and other places is nothing new. When the enemy failed, it always resorted to hitting people, even those who had no relation with the resistance. The history of Israeli wars in Qana, Dahieh, Sheyah, and other places in July war is a clear witness on that. The enemy takes such action because it knows that this is our point of weakness when it fails in confronting us militarily." "This is a point of pride for us, as it points out that the relation between the resistance and the people is an emotional, humanitarian, moral, and spiritual relation, and that both are one. The resistance had never acted like it was an imported resistance, like some fighters act these days, hence they don’t care about people. Not at all, as throughout the past years, the resistance had never performed a military or resistance operation without taking into consideration the responses, and protecting people, until April Accord came out to protect them," Sayyed Nasrallah added. From this point, his eminence considered that "when there is a resistance, and people whom it shares their feelings, and suffers from their pains, this is a point of power on one hand, and a point of weakness on the other, which the enemy uses. What happened yesterday was an attack on people. It wasn’t an assassination. There wasn’t any Hezbollah official or location targeted, but the side which committed the massacre in Dahieh wanted to leave behind the largest number of casualties among people." He stated that "the bomb weighted over 100 KGs, and at this location in specific, like the case in Bir Al-Abed explosion, the goal was only to kill people." Hezbollah secretary general asserted that the "massacre comes in the context of a wide and open battle which has been taking place since tens of years… as long as there is a group resisting and refusing to surrender to the American-Zionist will, then naturally, this group and its environment will bare this responsibility." Sayyed Nasrallah assured that the rockets that hit Baalbak and its neighborhoods in the last few weeks were fired by armed Syrian groups, adding that "rockets on Hermel, Majdal Anjar, Zahle, and Dahieh were targeting us, and the large explosion on the 9th of August targeted our people and environment. Yet we did not make a quick response… we did not accuse anyone." However, "after Bir Al-Abed blast, some Lebanese parts claimed that Hezbollah planted the explosive as a pretext to ignite the situation. This is defamation and unjust, asyou cannot find anyone who would love these people, and kiss the soil under the feet of these people like Hezbollah and its leadership does… This is how you work, but not how Hezbollah does." His eminence pointed out that during investigations about these assaults, "the first assumption was that "Israel" was behind them, while the second was the terrorist groups who have declared war on Hezbollah long before the latter entered Al-Qusayr, and the third assumption was that some other side interfered to escalate the situation with Israel, or to create internal sedition and sectarian strife." "After over 30 days on Bir Al-Abed explosion, and after the intelligence's arrests and our investigations, we have reached the result, and the names of those who planted the explosive on Hermel road are now known, and one of them is under arrest… as for the names of those involved in Bir Al-Abed blast, they are now 99.99% known," he revealed. Sayyed Nasrallah indicated that investigations have not yet revealed that the committers were operational agents of Israel. "They are rather affiliated with a certain Takfiri line… some of them are Lebanese, some are Syrians, and some are Palestinians." His eminence assured that intelligence apparatuses have informed Hezbollah about certain sides preparing booby-trapped cars to send them to Dahieh, emphasizing that"all our measures in Dahieh were in response to the official apparatuses' information." On this point, Sayyed Nasrallah stated that "these (Takfiri) groups work for Israel, and undoubtedly, US and some regional countries' intelligences are operating these sides." He highlighted that "yesterday they put (explosives) in Dahieh, but who knows where they could put them tomorrow? Neither Israel nor Takfiris care if they were in Dahieh or somewhere else. Those kill Sunnis just like they kill Shiites, they kill Christians just like they kill Muslims, and they bomb mosques just like they bomb churches." As his eminence asserted that Takfiri groups could plant booby-trapped cars anywhere in Lebanon, he warned officials, politicians, security apparatuses, and all the Lebanese that "yesterday's explosion was under control and the situation was under control, but if these explosions continue, Lebanon will be on the verge of Abyss. Therefore, responsible actions must be taken for Lebanon to confront this threat". Sayyed Nasrallah reiterated that the right precautionary measures should be taken and the government as well as its apparatuses must hold their responsibilities, if not to prevent suicide attacks, as this is impossible, then at least to minimize losses, stressing"the importance of finding the sides sending explosives-laden cars and arresting them… as well as the importance of not giving any political or security cover to these groups." Sayyed Nasrallah further emphasized "the importance of abandoning sectarian incitements, so that the conflict remains political." Addressing people who were affected by Thursday's terror attack, Hezbollah leader said: "We are aware of your patience, courage and faith, and the biggest exam was in July war… They want to harm your determination and faith, but we are certain of your faith and these aims will fail. What we fear is that those murderers drag you to uncalculated reactions which would lead to sedition and the destruction of the country…" "(Those killers) neither have a nation nor a religion, and they are not Sunnis. They killed Sunnis even more than they killed Shiites. They seek to create a fight between the Lebanese and the (Palestinian refugee) camps. These murderers are a group of terrorists and the owners of a destructive project in the whole region, not just in Lebanon. In Iraq, there is clear evidence about the western, regional, and Israeli intelligences operating the murderers there," he added. In conclusion, Sayyed Nasrallah called on his people to "stay patient and send a clear message that exploding and killing will not affect our morale, and it will not throw us in the trap of sedition. This is the responsibility of everyone in Lebanon, because if this situation continues, it could reach the verge of ambyss." His eminence also addressed the murderers, saying: "If you work for Israel, we know you and we will capture you if the state neglected that. Yet he indicated that "we are not a substitute for the state, but in any field the state does not hold its responsibility in, we will hold this responsibility." "If you claim you are defending the Syrian people and punishing Hezbollah over its intervention in Syria, I tell you two things: You, the Takfiri groups are the harshest killers of the Syrian people. You even kidnapped and killed Christian priests who supported the opposition. You kill children and explode mosques." "As for us, we fight with our values. We have never killed a captive, while you prosecute captives in daylight. We have never killed citizens, and in some of our battles, a larger number of martyrs fell in order to protect citizens, and all what is said about massacres committed by us are lies and fabrications." Criticizing the fabrications of some Arab media stations, he assured that "the world will witness that we have only fought Takfiri groups in Syria." Finally, Sayyed Nasrallah said: "One of our responses to such explosions is: If we had 1000 fighters in Syria, they will become 2000, and if we had 5000, they will become 10 000, and if the battle with those terrorists required that I go with all Hezbollah to Syria, we will all go for the sake of Syria and its people, Lebanon and its people, Palestine and Al-Quds, and the central cause." "We put an end to the battle, and we set a time for this battle to end, and as we triumphed in all our wars with Israel, if you wanted us to enter a fierce battle with you, I assure to everyone that we will triumph against Takfiri terror. The cost of the battle will be high, but the least cost is being slaughtered like ewes and waiting for the murderers to come into our house." http://www.almanar.com.lb/english/adetails.php?eid=102629&cid=23&fromval=1&frid=23&seccatid=14&s1=1 Sayyed Nasrallah: Resistance Can’t be Isolated, Enemy Eye on Galilee in any War Sara Taha Moughnieh Hezbollah Secretary General Sayyed Hasan Nasrallah delivered a speech during the annual Iftar dinner of the "Islamic Resistance Support Organization" on Friday, in which he reiterated the importance of national dialogue in order to agree on a defense strategy, and the importance of preserving the Lebanese Army.Sayyed Nasrallah referred to the Islamic Resistance's major role during the past years, especially the after the July 1993 aggression, April 1996 aggression, and the years after, in achieving agreements that protected citizens and imposed a balance with the enemy. His eminence stressed that these achievements by the Islamic Resistance were the result of its right vision, it's clear goals, duty, and path, as well as its faith, determination, and will."Let me assure that this resistance is based on reason, and the achieved victories affirm the effectiveness of the resistance," he said, indicating that "No one can give Lebanon guarantees for protecting it from Israeli threats. What protects this country is self-dependence and ensuring means of power which deter the enemy."Sayyed Nasrallah further stressed that the resistance got its strength from the people who did not look at it as a party or organization, but as a public determination which they sacrificed their children and loved ones for.Anyone who tries to eliminate the resistance will failSayyed Nasrallah wondered if someone believed that Lebanon was no longer exposed to Israel threats, stressing that if someone believed so, this would be a "misfortune", as Israel's greediness has no end.His eminence reassured that whoever tried to break or isolate the resistance has failed in achieving that, because this resistance is not an organization or a party, but a public determination which is ready for sacrifices."The noble people in this country have invested in the resistance with their most precious and loved ones, with their children and blood, hence, this resistance is not a faction that you can siege or isolate," he added.Enemy's eye on Galilee before BeirutHezbollah Secretary General stated that the resistance is capable of overcoming all the difficulties, as the enemy is reviewing all its plans and calculations after what happened in the last couple of months. He indicated that "in any coming war, the enemy's eye will be on Galilee before Beirut… and from now on, no one can assault Lebanon without paying a price."Sayyed Nasrallah considered that what the resistance has been exposed to was the result of its victories against the Zionist entity."The resistance, which triumphed in 1982, 2000, and 2006, was able to destroy the "New Middle East" project. Hence, it was natural to be targeted. In addition to the military confrontation with the enemy, we were being targeted on the military, security, cultural, and social levels," he added, pointing out that "when the resistance does not get targeted, this means it is ineffective and the enemy does not fear it."Always ready for dialogue… There is serious need for defense strategySayyed Nasrallah reiterated that Hezbollah was ready for dialogue under any form, to come out with a national defense strategy."We proposed a number of national defense strategies, but no one discussed them on the dialogue table. This is because they don’t discuss the national defense strategy seriously, all they want is "Hey guys, give us your weapons and may God give you wellness"," his eminence said, indicating that "their denial even got them to claim that Hezbollah did not propose any defense strategy".A call for staying cautious and preserving the ArmyInternally, his eminence stressed the importance of staying cautious, especially amid the latest political and security developments, and the intense division.Sayyed Nasrallah assured that "if the Army was destroyed or divided, there would no longer be peace and stability in the country, and if the Army was fractured, there would no longer be a state or a country. Therefore, our call today is to neutralize this institution, which we also call for strengthening and bracing.""Let us preserve the Army and not break it up. When a mistake falls, let us correct it, but most importantly, we should preserve this institution , and this is one of the most important national duties at this stage," he added, remembering that "In 1993, the Army attacked citizens on the streets, killing and injuring numbers, yet, neither people nor Hezbollah pointed weapons at the Army."Addressing media outlets, Sayyed Nasrallah said: "Let's put a limit to the "urgent stories" by media on explosives found in this place and that place, because most of them are false, and they are only part of a psychological war".Exclusion theories have failedHezbollah Secretary General assured that all the exclusion and isolation theories did not reach anywhere."We must negotiate and find ways out, No matter how much the enmity was, we must meet with each other," he stressed, concluding: "In this Holy Month, and despite all the political disputes and accusations, I say that our hand is extended and we are ready for dialogue…""This doesn’t mean that if we hold dialogue things would be easy, but at least we would be in a better situation," he indicated.Source: Al-Manar Website

Ynet Warns Israeli Leaders against Nasrallah’s Serious Threats Local Editor Israeli newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth demanded that officials in Tel-Aviv should listen carefully to the positions and threats made by Hezbollah Secretary General Sayyed Hasan Nasrallah. The military affairs commentator in the newspaper, Alex Fishman, wrote a long analytical article, in which he harshly criticized the cabinet that approved the decision to carry out air strikes in Syria.Commenting on the recent positions of Sayyed Nasrallah, the newspaper’s report mentioned that Israel tends to undermine the Arab leaders positions. “Yet it seems that there are exceptional leaders in the Middle East as it’s the case with Sayyed Nasrallah whom we have to listen to carefully if he threatens.”The report also stressed that “Nasrallah fulfills his commitments and threats, and what he says exactly matches with what he does.” The writer pointed that Nassrallah actually repeated the threats that Assad had issued in the aftermath of the Israeli air strikes in Damascus which implied the transformation of the Golan Heights into a popular resistance square. Yet “when Nasrallah and Al-Assad issue the same threats, we have to take the issue more seriously.”Fishman quoted the Israeli army Colonel Ronen Cohen who is the author of “The Rhetoric of Hassan Nasrallah during the Second Lebanon War” book.“Many of Nasrallah’s speeches are dedicated to propaganda, psychological warfare, and the strategic issues. Yet there are a number of details related to executive and operational issues,” Ronen said. The writer added that all the threats issued by Nasrallah during 2006 July War used to be implemented within 24 hours, yet the time of peace is more complicated because the threats are not necessarily carried out immediately. The Israeli officer also told Yedioth Ahronoth that Nasrallah was clear when he stressed that Hezbollah would help the resistance in the Golan Heights, so “we have to check his intentions, whether he implies logistic help, training, or other possibilities.” Nevertheless, Col. Cohen stressed the need to be aware now that “Hezbollah started to set his foot on the Syrian-Zionist borders, exactly as he set its hands and feet in Sinai and Gaza Strip http://www.almanar.com.lb/english/adetails.php?eid=93029&cid=31&fromval=1&frid=31&seccatid=269&s1=1
