This is something that came on my mind the other day. Do current Muslim countries charge jizya tax from Ahlul Kitab believers (Jews, Christians, Zoroastrians)? If Muslim countries do not charge Jizya tax shouldn't they technically still do it? Or is jizya tax only imposed in certain conditions. If so, what are those conditions?

Syed Sistani mentions how a husband can't refrain from having intimacy with his young wife for more than 4 months. I was wondering if there is a similar timeline for women where they can refrain from intimacy for x amount of days? Also, another question that I have is that what would be valid reasons for a wife to refuse intimacy from her husband without her refusal being counted as a sin? From what I understand (so far) is if a wife has any of the 3 reasons to refuse intimacy then she won't get any sins for refusing. But if a wife says that "she is simply not in the mood" then the wife will be committing a sinful act?

Salaam I have a query, I read the Lord's prayer recently. and I fail to see HOW this is haram?????? "Our Father, Who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name; Thy kingdom come; Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil." What is haram about this ??? Its asking Allah to give us rizq, forgive us and save us from evil? how is it haram?? @A

My father is ordering my mom to leave to another country in 2 weeks and they aren’t divorced. I told him what if my mom(his wife) doesn’t want to go(and she doesn’t want to go that early). He told me “ it doesn’t matter what she thinks, it’s whatever I say happens.” Does he have this kind of power? I know that a women is supposed to obey her husband. But I feel as if he’s being unreasonable. Can you please educate me on this subject.

Salam alaikum I'm putting together a list of very concrete rules for living in any society. I'm not looking for religious rules or abstract ideas like "be kind". I'm looking for quantifiable absolute things like "don't take things that aren't yours". This is for my son who has autism. 1. Don't take things that aren't yours. 2. Don't look through people's things without their permission. 3. Don't hit people who are weaker than you. 4. Don't hit people who are stronger than you unless they hit you first. 5. Tell people "thank you" when they do something nice for you. 6. Do not shout unless it is an emergency. 7. Choose your words appropriately. 8. Keep yourself healthy with the right food and exercise and enough sleep. 9. If you see someone who looks like they need help, offer help without being asked. Is there anything else I should add, or can I word anything more clearly? What are the rules that are essential in ANY society?

Assalamu'aleykom, I was reading things online and heard a lot about it, but I'm confused. It is about the rules of traveling during the month of Ramadan I'm gonna travel in the morning at 6, and come back 5 days after, also in the morning. I've heard a lot say that I can't fast during traveling.. But my question is, am I not allowed even though I want to fast during those days? And If i'm not allowed to fast during the traveling days, is it allowed to fast the days I'm in the other country?

Salam alejkum, From what I have read, and heard - Fajr - 2 rak'a - All loud Dhur - 4 rak'a - All quiet Asr - 4 rak'a - All quiet Mahgrib - 3 rak'a - First 2 loud, last 1 quiet OR All loud? Isha - 4 rak'a - First 2 loud, last 2 quiet OR All loud? Now can somebody please clarify this? As I have seen two opinions on this while trying to research further there seem to be differences between the Mahgrib & Isha. Also does the quietness or loudness also apply to when in sujoud, ruku and salaams or does it not matter? jazakAllah.
