  1. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2HJqJuGS9WE http://www.duas.org/Moharram/gift_from_imam_husain.htm This is the Dua I am referring to. It says in the last line of the translation: "Send blessings upon Muhammad and his progeny and fulfill for me…(mention your wishes)" I do not speak Arabic. 1) should I start speaking English to mention my wishes? 2) can I just recite the Dua and stop at: صَلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَ آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ وَ افْعَلْ بِي 3) can you tell me something typical in Arabic to finish the Dua? (by the way I need the accents to know how to recite) Thanks so much. I love this Dua. It is beautiful as well as the story behind it will be a great deed to help me recite it correctly.
  2. There is the line that says: "Woe to those who pray Who are heedless of their prayer" Can you make a pause there? Or do you have to recite the two ayah together? https://quran.com/107

    Majlis Dua

Salaam, I wanted to know what duas or surahs can one recite at the beginning of a majalis?
  4. Salam, Looking for the marsiya "sar naizayia par kuch kehdi hain" Does anyone know its correct title and by who recited it? Its in punjabi, I think.
  5. (bismillah) (salam) InshAllah everyone's fasts are progressing well. I have been struggling with certain letters and was hoping that you good people on ShiaChat could provide a helping hand. ha ح A sound not found in English, but like the Hebrew ח as in חלב, vaguely like h as in have ha هـ /ه h as in havedhal ذ th as in this dha ظ A sound not found in English. Pronounced like th as in this but with phonological quality similar to ص za ز z as in zebra Most of my confusion is between ذ and ظ. ح and هـ  Thanks for your help! Source is http://www.islam.org.hk/arabiclessons/lesson01.utf8.asp (wasalam)
  6. Should one recite audibly (jahr) or quietly (ikhfaat) in the following positions in their daily prayers? 1) The sujdatain (prostration). 2) The tasleem. 3) When saying the mustahab phrases asta'3firullaha rabbi wa atubu ilaihi and sami3a allahu liman hamidahu. If the sujdatain, for example, should be recited jahr in dhuhr and asr prayers and not in maghrib, isha, and subh prayers, then please include that information. This was confusing for me as I was only able to find information about the ruku' and the people in my masjid, some recite the sujdatain jahr and some ikhfaat. I'm confused. Thanks for the help brothers and sisters.
