Salaam everyone, I recently witnessed a family member playing a video loudly on the TV of a really bad quality Quran recitation on youtube this morning. It was not an old video, therefore of lesser audio quality, but a newly uploaded video which obviously has had issues with sound being digitally set to very high with the persons voice making microphone pops in the speaker and reverb set to a extra long delay which means it was a constant stream of high frequency scratching noise in the back ground due to the low quality. I usually don't mind and even enjoy the soothing atmosphere that someone reading Quran emits. This, however, was disturbing me as it was uncomfortable and literally felt it was hurting my ears and I felt it was not properly portraying the beauty of the Quran, hence not making it sound good. I find this unlucky for the video as the person reciting is probably doing great. I asked the person to please find another video as the quality of this specific video was bothering me. This seemed to offend the person a lot and I was told to leave the room and close the door. The person took it as a some insult and I feel my faith is perceived by him to be weak somehow as he compared it to another person that is not a believer. I need help to understand what to do here. Am I wrong for wanting a clearer and better quality of audio from a video? Is it wrong that I feel disturbed that the Quran is being read with such low quality loudly? How should I talk to this person? He is older then me and his ears have started to lose a bit hearing. Thank you for your help.

Salaam Alykum Everyone, Not sure if I’m posting this under the right topic but I’ll be grateful for any help / insight into my dream. In it, I was told to recite Surah Ayn 30 times... I have tried looking at numerous sources etc but can’t find a Surah Ayn.... Can Ayn mean something else? What is the significance of 30? Any help will be much appreciated. Thank you

S/w, In the recitation of Surah Duha why does everyone completely pronounce the last word of the 3,4,5,8, and 9th aayat Even if there is a 'to' over it? As far as I know, we have to stop(not completely pronounce) the last word if there's a 'to' over it.Am I wrong? @Simra Abbas

This is an experiment and not a competition. I would appreciate if individuals would join and try it out for the results. It is merely an exercise in knowing the possibilities and potential of reciting the Quran in that given time frame with due diligence. Time limit is 15 minutes. Recite the Surahs that are around the 20 Ayat mark. Meaning, the maximum they should be, is around the average of 20 Ayats and go down towards the smaller ones or the other way around. High to low - or - low to high. (bismillah) This Dua is very helpful for a person who recites it daily between Maghrib and Isha Prayers.(for Safety and Protection) A person in his dream saw the Holy Prophet of Islam, very sad and the person ask him the reason of sadness and he said: that during Mehraj he saw many believers being led towards hell and the reason was Iman. His umma was very weak in their Iman and He recommended this Dua for protection of his umma and it will help them in the world, after death and also in the Barzak (resurrection). I have been struggling with certain letters and was hoping that you good people on ShiaChat could provide a helping hand. ha ح A sound not found in English, but like the Hebrew ח as in חלב, vaguely like h as in have ha هـ /ه h as in havedhal ذ th as in this dha ظ A sound not found in English. Pronounced like th as in this but with phonological quality similar to ص za ز z as in zebra Most of my confusion is between ذ and ظ. ح and هـ :wacko: Thanks for your help!
