Now, let's say someone who differentiates themselves from you or someone who isn't familiar with qunoot prays behind an Imam of your viewpoint and the Imam and congregation do qunoot, what do you think the person who differs from you is best doing? Raising the hands and just not making the qunoot du'a or keeping the hands wherever the person would keep the hands? Would either be considered wrong and why?

Salaam Alaikum Brothers And Sisters I'm Just Wondering When We Do Salaah We Do Qunoot In The Second Rak'ah And What I Wanted To Know Is Can You Do More Then 1 Qunoot For Instance In The Last Rak'ah? S/w, Is it permissible to hold a paper in hand with dua written over it while performing salatul layl as i don't remember the duas to be recited in Qunoot?

Assalamu alaikum, My question is pretty simple but it is something I haven't really understood about qunoot. When you do qunoot, can you make du'a in your own language or make dhikr (for example repeating astaghfirullah a few times or something similar) or do you have to recite a 'regular' du'a from the Quran, such as this one; RABBANAAA AATINAA FIDDUNYAA H’ASANATAW WA FIL AAKHIRATI H’ASANATAW WA QINAA A’D’AABAN NAAR I have always recited this du'a when doing qunoot but someone told me you can just ask Allah for forgiveness in your own words and I'm wondering if this is true or not?

(salam) What is the minimum that can be read in the qunoot of Salat al-Witr? With some lines having to be repeated 70 and 300 times, there often is simply not enough time (for me) to say them all. :donno: (wasalam)
