  1. Peace be upon those who follow [divine] guidance, among the issues that evangelical Christian preachers of the US love to claim is that the Quran denies the noble Prophet Muhammad (upon whom be peace) - the Seal of all Prophets - to have been blessed with miracles. They use the following Aya - and similar Ayat - as a "proof": 17:59 وَمَاوَمَا مَنَعَنَآ أَن نُّرْسِلَ بِٱلآيَاتِ إِلاَّ أَن كَذَّبَ بِهَا ٱلأَوَّلُونَ وَآتَيْنَا ثَمُودَ ٱلنَّاقَةَ مُبْصِرَةً فَظَلَمُواْ بِهَا وَمَا نُرْسِلُ بِٱلآيَاتِ إِلاَّ تَخْوِيفاً ٥٩ And nothing has prevented Us from sending signs [i.e., miracles] except that the former peoples denied them. And We gave Thamūd the she-camel as a visible sign, but they wronged her. And We send not the signs except as a warning. ___ The one who studied the Quran with the intention to understand its teachings will however find that there is a distinction here: Allah ta'ala denied to show the disbelievers at the time of our noble Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) any signs / miracles UPON their requests (because this would lead to their destruction similar to the nations before them), but he did bless His Messenger with miracles on other occasions. Some of these instances are clearly found in the Quran itself. [Remember] when you were asking help of your Lord, and He answered you, "Indeed, I will reinforce you with a thousand from the angels, following one another." 8:10 وَمَاوَمَا جَعَلَهُ ٱللَّهُ إِلاَّ بُشْرَىٰ وَلِتَطْمَئِنَّ بِهِ قُلُوبُكُمْ وَمَا ٱلنَّصْرُ إِلاَّ مِنْ عِندِ ٱللَّهِ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ عَزِيزٌ حَكِيمٌ ١٠ And Allāh made it not but good tidings and so that your hearts would be assured thereby. And victory is not but from Allāh. Indeed, Allāh is Exalted in Might and Wise. [Remember] when He overwhelmed you with drowsiness [giving] security from Him and sent down upon you from the sky, rain by which to purify you and remove from you the evil [suggestions] of Satan and to make steadfast your hearts and plant firmly thereby your feet. [Remember] when your Lord inspired to the angels, "I am with you, so strengthen those who have believed. I will cast terror into the hearts of those who disbelieved, so strike [them] upon the necks and strike from them every fingertip." ___ The above Ayat are regarding the battle of Badr, which was the first battle between the believers and the polytheists and one where the number of believers was very little in comparison to that of the polytheists. In the above passage we find several miracles that happened. One of them is that God the Almighty sent down the angels to support the believers. Another miracle is the fact that God sent down rain on the believers and elevated their motivation and this happened in a region where rain is very rare and while the believers were in distress knowing that they would soon meet the enemy, who is much greater in number and better equipped.
  2. Christmas Mubarak I guess would be the politically correct way for a Muslim to say it. So I’ll wish all my Muslim brothers and sisters, Christmas Mubarak! And to all my Christian neighbours I say, Merry Christmas! I also want to share with them some of the Baraka and blessings in remembering and celebrating the birth of one of Allah Ta’ala’s guiding lights on Earth, The Prophet of Allah Ta’ala Jesus son of Mary May Allah elevate his and our Prophet’s saw status And may Allah Ta’ala help us all in realising just how much we have in common with the rest of humanity. (33) "So she pointed to him. They said, "How can we speak to one who is in the cradle a child?" [Jesus] said, "Indeed, I am the servant of Allah . He has given me the Scripture and made me a Prophet. And He has made me blessed wherever I am and has enjoined upon me prayer and zakah as long as I remain alive And [made me] dutiful to my mother, and He has not made me a wretched tyrant. And peace is on me the day I was born and the day I will die and the day I am raised alive" Maryam 19/29-33 السلام عليك يا نبي الله عيسى بن مريم و رحمة الله و بركاته

  4. Salaam I got my english language paper 1 GCSE tmmrw, this exam is essential and along with math is the core core subject WE HAVE TO PASS. for the 5th question, worth over 50% of the first paper (so 25% of the total grade cuz 2 papers). U may get an option to write a story I have a couple ideas but need some help taking out the plotline and dont wanna gpt it cuz thats a big issue. So, a christian mexican boy, called Jesus (no not christ just a regular mexican boy named Jesus (pronounced Hai- Zoos) is a deeply religious boy and devoted christian. All his life he does good, goes to church every sunday, mass communion, etc. PREACHES THe gospel, knows the bible through and through, has done witness work. Doess all the good stuff like charity, kindness, forgiveness, etc. However, one day, when Jesus is an old man. He seems a homeless boy on the street with a blanket over his legs, the boy seems young perhaps in his 20s. And is asking for money, Jesus ignores him, scoffs and moves on. Later, he feels gulty as this is one of the first fairly bad things hes ever done. Its a sunday so he goes to church for mass. However, the church is empty. When he gets there. There is a man however, on the front bench. Sitting there alone, no one else. Jesus walks up to the man on the bench. He sees the man sitting there, in a suit. He looks most dashing. His shoulders are broad, chest large and strong, But eyes gentle and loviing. the man has long hair and a neat beard. He sits down next to the man and he begins to talk with him and generally how he feels bad for what happned earlier explaining the situation with the boy. A LOOOOOOOOOONG conversation happens. Then, the man with the long hair gets up and says "Look, you preached my word all your life, the gospel. the word I bought down from Heaven, from Holy God. What you did today, was not as i would do." jesus the mexican is taken aback the man in the suit continues he notices the man in the suit's hair looks wet, as if he has just washed it, however, it was dry all day. and the mans suit too is dry. The suited man continues saying "I bought down the message of glad tidings and mercy from God, the magnificent. to all, I raised the dead, healed the leper and the blind and sick. Fed the people, my way is not what yoy have done today. Did you even enquire, to the young boy why he's there? No! You simply saw a young man and thought he must be idle because a young man should be working not begging like an elderly or sick person yes?" Jesus the mexican realises who he's talking to. It is none other than Jesus Christ, son of Mary. "Yes it is I. But go now, go find the boy and come to repent back here. When you have fufilled the right of the people." He runs out the church hall down to the corner where he saw the boy first, the boy sat there, he saw the man and looked at him silently. The boy lifts the blanket. And the man is shocked. Both of the boys legs were gone, not there in the first place. As well as this, he realises now, how thin, bone thin the boy is "He weeps and says, forgiv e me please. " Him and the boy have an exchange and he returns to the church He goes in looking for Jesus Christ "O son of Mary! O holy one! " However, he finds nothing. No one. Indeed however, he sits in the very same corner of the bench he sat on before when talking to jesus christ. and a sense of calm washes over him. He passes away. Can someone help me FILL in the plot line ALSO RATE THE STORYY!!!! shud i also do a muslim version with the Prophet (sawa) and a mosque instead? LMK!!!
  5. https://www.journals.uchicago.edu/doi/10.1086/729531 The story mentions the visit of a shrine in Taif whose construction is attributed to Imam Ali (عليه السلام). But it is relevant on another level since it would come as an historical proof on the use of written arabic which has been doubted many times recently.

    Tattooing

As-Salamu Alaykum. ***I am not trying to spark debate about whether or not tattoos are permissible. Please debate that somewhere else.*** I want to get a tattoo of my father's name. He has the most common name in the world though, named after the Prophet ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)). However, it is spelled differently. I am wondering if it is OK to get his name tattooed on my body in Arabic calligraphy. The reason I am asking is because I would definitely never get a tattoo of something holy or religious. The tattoo would be for my father, not for the Prophet ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)). Thank you.
  7. Prophet’s Answers In Conformity To What Was Revealed In The Holy Scriptures Before Him Surprising Facts Prophet's Answers That The Earth Rejects An Apostate Imam Ahmad Relates That Anas Ibn Malik ((رضي الله عنه).) Said: There Was A Man Amongst Us From The Clan Of Al-Najar Who Used To Be The Prophet’s (P.B.U.H.) Writer. He Then Ceased To Be A Muslim, And As A Result He Fled. As He Was Fleeing, He Met With Some Jews Who Recognized Him And Said: This Is The Man Who Used To Write For Muhammad. They Later Killed Him And Buried Him. The Earth Did Not Accept Him, So With Time It Ejected Him, They Reburied Him And He Was Ejected Again While His Face Had Already Started Decomposing. They Had No Choice But To Abandon Him (Musnad Imam Ahmad Vol. 3 Pg. 272) Questions That The Prophet (P.B.U.H.) Was Asked And To Which He Answered In Conformity To What Was Revealed In The Holy Scriptures Before Him 1 Holy Prophet's Answers About The Soul, Dhul Qarnain And The Companions Of The Cave Muhammad Ibn Ishaq Relates That Ibn Abbas ((رضي الله عنه).) Said: The Quraish Sent Ibn Harith And U ’Qba Ibn Abu Mu’ti’ To The Jewish Rabbis In Medina To Inquire About The Authenticity Of Muhammad’s Prophethood Because They Knew More About Prophets Than They Did. The Jews Told Them To Ask The Prophet (P.B.U.H.) Three Questions: (1) Ask Him, What Happened To The Young Men Who Disappeared During The First Centuries? (2) Ask Him, About The Story Of The Man Who Traveled East And West Of The Earth? (3) Ask Him About The Soul? If He Answered These Questions, Follow Him For He Is A True Prophet. Then The Two Returned To Mecca And Informed The Quraish Of Their Findings. Henceforth, They Went To The Prophet (P.B.U.H.) And Asked Him The Questions. He (P.B.U.H.) Told Them That He Will Answer Them The Following Day (Forgetting To Say Insha Allah), Hoping For A Revelation (Wahi). Fifteen Days Passed Without Any Revelation. People Said: Muhammad Promised Us Tomorrow And It Is Now Fifteen Days, He Has Not Said A Word About What He Was Asked. The Prophet Was Perturbed By The Word Going Around Mecca. Finally, Jibril Came And Revealed To Him Suratul Kahf (Chapter Of The Cave), In Which Were Verses That Answered Their First Two Questions. Allah The Exalted Says: “And They Ask You (O Muhammad) About The Ruh (The Soul); Say: ‘The Ruh (The Soul) Is One Of The Things, The Knowledge Of Which Is Only With My Lord. And Of Knowledge, You, (Mankind) Have Been Given Only A Little ”(Suratul Al-Isra 85) We Have Talked About This Lengthily In The Book Of Tafseer (Tafseer Ibn Kathir), Anyone Who Wants More Details Can Refer To It. Allah The Exalted Also Revealed: “Do You Think That The People Of The Cave And The Inscription (The News Or The Names Of The People Of The Cave) Were A Wonder Among Our Signs….And Never Say Of Anything, ‘I Shall Do Such And Such Thing Tomorrow.(Suratul Kahf 9-23) Then, Allah Also Mentioned The Story Of Musa And Al-Khidhir Then Dhul Qamain. Allah The Exalted Says: “And They Ask You About Dhul-Qamain Say: T Shall Recite To You Something Of His Story’ ”(Suratul Kahf 83) The Almighty In The Above Verse And The Ones That Follow, Explained And Told His Story. What The Quraish Asked The Prophet (P.B.U.H.) Are Happenings That Conform With The Stories Found In The Books Of Ahl Al-Kitab (People Of Book), Such Are Among The Little Truth Found In Them. Nonetheless, What Has Been Distorted And Changed Is Unacceptable Because The Lord Has Sent Down Muhammad (P.B.U.H.) Truthfully And Revealed A Book To Him Which Expounds To The People The Controversies In Reports And Judgements. 2 Prophet’s Answers To The Questions Of The Jewish Rabbis Concerning The Hereafter. Imam Al-Bukhari Relates That Abdullah Ibn Salaam Came To Medina And Went To The Prophet (P.B.U.H.) And Said: I Will Ask You Three Questions To Which Only A Prophet Can Answer. He Said: (1) What Is The First Sign Of The Day Of Judgement? (2) Which Is The First Food That The People Of Paradise Will Eat? (3) What Makes A Child Resemble His Father? And What Makes A Child Resemble His Maternal Uncles? The Prophet (P.B.U.H.) Said, “The First Sign Of The Day Of Judgement Is A Fire That Will Force People To Move From The East To The West And The First Food In Paradise Is Whale’s Liver And Regarding Similarity Of The Child, If The Man Ejaculates First, Then The Child Will Resemble His Father And If The Wife Ejaculates First Then The Child Will Resemble Her. Abdallah Said: I Bear Witness That You Are A Messenger Of Allah. Abdallah Then Informed The Prophet That If The Jews Knew About His Conversion Then They Would Speak Ill Of Him To The Prophet (P.B.U.H.), As They Were A Perversive People. The Jews Came To The Prophet (P.B.U.H.), And Abdallah Went Inside The House. The Prophet (P.B.U.H.) Then Asked Them About Abdallah Ibn Salaam And They Said: Our Scholar And A Son Of Our Scholar. Our Rabbi And Son Of Our Rabbi. Then The Prophet Asked Them, “What If Abdallah Converted To Islam?” They Said: May Allah Distance Him From That. At That Instant, Abdallah Came Out To Them And Said: I Bear Witness That There Is None Worth To Be Worshipped But Allah And Muhammad Is His Messenger. They Said: He Is An Evil One And Son Of An Evil In Another Version, Imam Muslim Narrated That Thubaan, A Servant Of The Messenger Of Allah Said: I Was Asleep In The Prophet’s (P.B.U.H.) House, When A Jewish Scholar Came And Said: Assalam Alaika O Muhammad. I Pushed Him And He Asked Me: Why Do You Push Me? I Asked Him: Why Do You Not Say, O Messenger Of Allah? The Jewish Scholar Replied Saying: I Call Him By The Name His People Call Him. Then The Prophet (P.B.U.H.) Answered And Said: “My Name Is Muhammad By Which My People Call Me”. The Jew Said: I Have Come To Ask You Questions. The Prophet (P.B.U.H.) Said: “Is It Going To Benefit You If I Answer You?” He Replied And Said: I Will Listen And Put What You Say Into Consideration. The Prophet (P.B.U.H.) Said: “Ask”. The Jew Asked: Where People Are Going To Be The Day The Earth Will Changed To Another Earth And Sky? The Prophet (P.B.U.H.) Said: “The People Will Be In Darkness Before The Bridge (Sirat) He Then Asked: Who Will Be The First People To Cross? He (P.B.U.H.) Said “The Emigrants(Muhajireen) Who Were Poor” The Jew Then Asked: What They Wibe Served On Entering Paradise? The Prophet (P.B.U.H.)Said: “The Outermost Part Of A Whale’s Liver”. The Jew Asked: What Meal Would They Be Served With For The Day. He (P.B.U.H.) Said: “A Bull From Paradise, Which They Will Eat From Its Sides”. The Jew Asked: What Will Be Their Drink? He (P.B.U.H.) Said: “From A Spring Called Salsabil. The Jew Then Said: You Spoke The Truth And I Have Come To Ask You About Something That Is Not Known By Any Among The People On Earth Except A Prophet Or One Or Two People. The Prophet Then Asked Him, “Is It Going To Benefit You If I Answered You?” He Said: I Hear With My Ears, I Have Come To Ask You About A Child. The Prophet (P.B.U.H.) Said, “A Man’s Sperm Is White And A Woman’s Sperm Is Yellow, If They Meet And The Man’s Sperm Is Faster Then The Woman’s Then The Child Will Be A Boy By Allah’s Will And If The Woman’s Sperm Is Faster Then The Man’s Then The Child Will Be A Girl By Allah’s Will”. The Jew Said: I Do Believe That You Are A Prophet (P.B.U.H.), Then He Went
  8. Ghadeer - Meaning of Mawla: Then the Messenger of Allah continued: "Do I not have more right over the believers than what they have over themselves?”People cried and answered: "Yes, O’ Messenger of God.”Then Prophet (S) held up the hand of ‘Ali and said: "Whoever I am his Mawla, ‘Ali is his Mawla. O’ God, love those who love him, and be hostile to those who are hostile to him." First we should look the prophet has what characteristics being Mawla of believers in order to derive its real meaning for the Imam Ali? The Prophet is Mawla of believers; First I make this clear that he prophet is the seal of the prophets and there is no prophet after him. Ye have indeed in the Apostle of Allah a beautiful pattern of (conduct) for anyone whose hope is in Allah and the Final Day and who engages much in the praise of Allah. (33:21) But he has declared himself Mawla of the believers, so that we should find specific characteristics attributed to him in relation to the believers قُلْ إِن كُنتُمْ تُحِبُّونَ ٱللَّهَ فَٱتَّبِعُونِى يُحْبِبْكُمُ ٱللَّهُ وَيَغْفِرْ لَكُمْ ذُنُوبَكُمْ ۗ وَٱللَّهُ غَفُورٌۭ رَّحِيمٌۭ ٣١} : Say: "If ye do love Allah follow me: Allah will love you and forgive you your sins for Allah is Oft-Forgiving Most Merciful." But if they turn away, indeed Allah does not like the faithless. 008:020 O you who have faith! Obey Allah and His Messenger, and do not turn away from him while you hear [him]. 024:054 Say, ‘Obey Allah, and obey the Messenger.’ But if you turn your backs, [you should know that] he is only responsible for his burden and you are responsible for your own burden, and if you obey him, you will be guided, and the Messenger’s duty is only to communicate in clear terms. 047:033 O you who have faith! Obey Allah and obey the Messenger, and do not render your works void. 003:132 and obey Allah and the Messenger so that you may be granted [His] mercy. 005:092 And obey Allah and obey the Messenger, and beware; but if you turn your backs, then know that Our Messenger’s duty is only to communicate in clear terms. 008:046 And obey Allah and His Messenger, and do not dispute, or you will lose heart and your power will be gone. And be patient; indeed Allah is with the patient. 064:012 Obey Allah and obey the Messenger; but if you turn away, then Our Messenger’s duty is only to communicate in clear terms. 049:001 O you who have faith! Do not venture ahead of Allah and His Messenger, and be wary of Allah. Indeed Allah is all-hearing, all-knowing. Similarly for imam Ali being Mawla: “Obey Allah and messenger” / (who is also mawla). So obeying the Mawla is mandatory. Thus confirms that the meaning of Mawala as given in Ghaderr narration is leader who is to be followed/Obeyed, like for the prophet who is also Mawla of believers. Thus confirming that Imaam Ali is Mawla of believers and he is the leader after the prophet and he should be obeyed with the same authority as that of the prophet on believers. Hadith Manzlia: The Messenger of Allah said to ‘Ali: "Your position to me is like the position of Aaron (Haroon) to Moses, except that there shall be no Prophet after me" أنتَ مني بمنزلة هارون من موسى إلا إنَّهُ لا نبيَّ بعدي Sunni References: (1) Sahih al-Bukhari, Arabic-English version, Traditions 5.56, 5.700 (2) Sahih Muslim, Arabic, v4, pp 1870-71 (3) Sunan Ibn Majah, p12 (4) Musnad Ahmad Ibn Hanbal, v1, p174 (5) al-Khasa’is, by al-Nisa’i, pp 15-16 (6) Mushkil al-Athar, by al-Tahawi, v2, p309 The hadith is recorded in two Sahiheen. It is graded as Sahih: by many sunni scholars., وَلَقَدْ قَالَ لَهُمْ هَٰرُونُ مِن قَبْلُ يَٰقَوْمِ إِنَّمَا فُتِنتُم بِهِۦ ۖ وَإِنَّ رَبَّكُمُ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنُ فَٱتَّبِعُونِى وَأَطِيعُوٓا۟ أَمْرِى {٩٠} 020:090 Aaron had certainly told them earlier, ‘O my people! You are only being tested by it. Indeed your Lord is the All-beneficent. So follow me and obey my command!’ This verse was revealed describing the Haroon told his people that they should follow him and obey him. If we look in the quran then this word فَٱتَّبِعُونِى has been used only in two verses of quran. First in the verse 3:31 as given below where the prophet Muhammad saww has said that the Muslims should follow him. قُلْ إِن كُنتُمْ تُحِبُّونَ ٱللَّهَ فَٱتَّبِعُونِى يُحْبِبْكُمُ ٱللَّهُ وَيَغْفِرْ لَكُمْ ذُنُوبَكُمْ ۗ وَٱللَّهُ غَفُورٌۭ رَّحِيمٌۭ {٣١} 003:031 Say, ‘If you love Allah, then follow me; Allah will love you and forgive you your sins, and Allah is all-forgiving, all-merciful.’ In the light of Hadith Manzila Imam Ali has same relation with the Prophet as Haroon has to Musa. The quran confirms that haroon was minister / adviser and successor after Musa like wise as per hadith Manzila Imam Ali is minister and successor after the Prophet Muhammad saww. Also the verse (20:90) "Fatab-uni" confirms that the Children of Israel should follow Haroon in succession to Mosa as likewise Imam Ali should be followed in succession of Muhamamd saww. Also the people should obey Imam Ali likewise they were ordered to obey haroon as. Obey Allah and obey the Messenger and those vested with authority among you. And if you dispute concerning anything, refer it to Allah and the Messenger, if you have faith in Allah and the Last Day. That is better and more favorable in outcome. 038:029 [This is] a blessed Book that We have sent down to you, so that they may contemplate its signs, and that those who possess intellect may take admonition. The Prophet has more authority over the believers than themselves. (33:36) Thus it confirms that Mawla has more authority over believers than themselves. This is the real meaning of Mawla who is Leader after the prophet Muhammad saw. And Imam Ali is Mawla (Leader) of believers.
  9. (salam) (bismillah) A NICE HADITH: Intercession on Day of Judgment The Holy Prophet (pbuh) (said to Hazrat-e Fatemeh): On the Day of Judgment, you shall intercede for the ladies and I shall intercede for the men; every person who has wept over the tragedy of Husayn (as), we shall take him by the hand and lead him into Paradise. Bihar al‑Anwar vol. 94 pg. 192,
  10. What are the guidance functions as described in the religion? The two sources of religion include: the verses of quran and hadith of the prophet (and hadith of imams). A summary has been presented in the following based on the above two sources to understand the guidance functions before we can reach to the concept of guidance during the period of our time by Imam Mahdi (عليه السلام): 1. Guidance by Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى) & the Prophet: And We did not send any messenger but with the language of his people, so that he might explain to them clearly; then Allah makes whom He pleases err and He guides whom He pleases and He is the Mighty, the Wise. (14:4) And say: The truth is from your Lord, so let him who please believe, and let him who please disbelieve; surely We have prepared for the iniquitous a fire, the curtains of which shall encompass them about; and if they cry for water, they shall be given water like molten brass which will scald their faces; evil the drink and ill the resting-place. (18:29) Say: Allah guides to the truth. Is He then Who guides to the truth more worthy to be followed, or he who himself does not go aright unless he is guided? ….? (10:35) Say: O people! indeed there has come to you the truth from your Lord, therefore whoever goes aright, he goes aright only for the good of his own soul, and whoever goes astray, he goes astray only to the detriment of it, and I am not a custodian over you. (10:135) This is more proper in order that they should give testimony truly or fear that other oaths be given after their oaths; and be careful of (your duty to) Allah, and hear; and Allah does not guide the transgressing people. (5:108) The above guidance by Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى) is presented from the verses of Quran and this guidance function has never been ceased. 2. Quran as Guide Sura Luqman, verse 3 answers this question by saying that the Qur’an is: “A guidance and a mercy unto the righteous ones.” Allah says in the Qur’an in Sura Bani-Israel, verse 9: “Indeed this Qur’an guides to the path which is clearer and straighter than any other. “This is the Book. In it is guidance surely without any doubt, to those who fear God, who believe in the Unseen, are steadfast in prayer, and spend out of what we have provided for them.” (Sura Baqarah, verse 2 and 3) Also the Qur’an states in Sura Luqman, verse 2-4: “These are the verses of the wise Book. A guide and a mercy to those who do good, those who establish regular prayers, and give regular charity, and have in their hearts the assurance of the hereafter.” 3. Imams as Guide Allah has stated in very clear words in Surah Sajdah [32:23] And certainly We gave the Book to Musa, so be not in doubt concerning the receiving of it, and We made it a guide for the children of Israel. [32:24] And We made of them Imams to guide by Our command when they were patient, and they were certain of Our communications. Musa (عليه السلام) left the following tools of guidance for his people: o The Book of God o Imams who were: o Appointed by Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى) o Providing guidance via the edicts of Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى) o Patient o Definite about the Word of Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى) The Qur’an by itself cannot teach and guide its readers because there is every possibility of misunderstanding and misinterpretations, and so, it is necessary that the teachings of Qur’an be directly taken from the Prophet and his Ahlul Bait (progeny). The Holy Prophet himself declared: “I leave among you two weighty things, the Book of Allah (the Qur’an) and my Itrat (progeny); if you hold fast to them you will never go astray; and these two shall never separate from each other till they meet at the heavenly fountain of Kauser.” (Hadith al-Thaqalyn) From the purified progeny of the prophet we have 12 imams the hadith mention their count and name. The first imam is Ali (عليه السلام). and 12th is Imam Mahdi (عليه السلام). The following verses are also added as evidence of 12 leaders as guides after the prophet Among the people of Moses is a Nation who guide [the people] by the truth and do justice thereby. And We made them Imams who guided (people) by Our command, and We revealed to them the doing of good and the keeping up of prayer and the giving of the alms, and Us (alone) did they serve; (21:73) Similarly for our nation it is mentioned in quran that: Among those We have created are a Nation who guide by the truth and do justice thereby. (7:181) Thus the presence of guided imams in our nation chosen by Allah has been confirmed. The details can be seen at the following link: https://www.shiachat.com/forum/topic/235032391-12-leaders-imams-as-guide-after-the-prophet/ There are many hadith for the count and names of the 12 imams like: This Ummat will not end and the Day of Judgment will not come, till the coming of 12 Khalifas, they will be guided, on the Deen of Truth. Fathul Bari Volume 13 page 79 Allamah Badradaen Aini in Ummdthul Qari Sharah Sahih Bukhari narrates: ‘This Ummah will not end until the passing of the twelve, they will all be true guides from the Ahlulbayt.’ Ummdthul Qari Volume 2 page 282 and Volume 9 page 8 We read in Ya Nabi al-Muwaddat: The Prophet of Allah said that I am the Chief of Prophets, Ali is the Chief of Wasi, after me there will be 12 Wasi, 1st of them is Ali (عليه السلام), last of them is Mahdi. Faslul khitab page 423, Ya Nabi al Muwaddat page 105 (Beirut) 4. The prophet Muhamamd has been instructed to follow the religion of Ibrahim thus confirming there is no discontinuation in the guidance function since Ibrahim (عليه السلام). to our prophet, even the part of duration by Esa (عليه السلام) is also considered as part of guidance by the verse of quran. 0. Say, "Indeed, my Lord has guided me to a straight path - a correct religion - the way of Abraham, inclining toward truth. And he was not among those who associated others with Allah ." (6:161) Quran does not consider the duration of Hz Esa .(عليه السلام) as discontinuation in guidance function to the people when he has been taken to skies by almighty Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى) as there is no verse mentioning any discontinuity in guidance function to the people. And their saying: Surely we have killed the Messiah, Isa son of Marium, the messenger of Allah; and they did not kill him nor did they crucify him, but it appeared to them so (like Isa) and most surely those who differ therein are only in a doubt about it; they have no knowledge respecting it, but only follow a conjecture, and they killed him not for sure. Nay! Allah took him up to Himself; and Allah is Mighty, Wise. And there is not one of the followers of the Book but most certainly believes in this before his death, and on the day of resurrection he (Isa) shall be a witness against them. (4:159) Esa (عليه السلام) will be witness against the people of book thus it confirms that his guidance function was not ceased other wise he could never be a witness over them. 6. Verse about Religion for prophet (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) Similarly guidance function did not discontinue after the prophet (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) and it is continued till present time in the time of 12th imam. How will it be, then, when We bring from every people a witness and bring you as a witness against these? And those who believe in Allah and His messengers and do not make a distinction between any of them-- Allah will grant them their rewards; and Allah is Forgiving, Merciful. They desire to put out the light of Allah with their mouths, and Allah will not consent save to perfect His light, though the unbelievers are averse. He it is Who sent His Messenger with guidance and the religion of truth, that He might cause it to prevail over all religions, though the polytheists may be averse. (9:33) Thus it confirm the manner that the religion guidance is continued from the prophet Ibrahim to Prophet Esa .as and in similar manner it continued from Esa .as to the life of our prophet s,.a.w. The above verses confirm the evidence for the guidance without any discontinuation in religion from the life of the prophet Muhammad (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) to the time of 12th imam Al Mahdi (عليه السلام). What! is he whose heart Allah has opened for Islam so that he is in a light from his Lord (like the hard-hearted)? Nay, woe to those whose hearts are hard against the remembrance of Allah; those are in clear error. Allah has revealed the best announcement, a book conformable in its various parts, repeating, whereat do shudder the skins of those who fear their Lord, then their skins and their hearts become pliant to the remembrance of Allah; this is Allah's guidance, He guides with it whom He pleases; and (as for) him whom Allah makes err, there is no guide for him. (39:23) Thus confirming there is the same guidance function in continuation in religion and it rejects the conjectures presented by some members at SC regarding occultation and guidance by Imam Al Mahdi (عليه السلام). ..................(Continued)

  12. We all know that our imam got into occultation and hidden From the human eye aswell From the djins. Some say he walks between us just like a normal human being but he isnt getting recognized that he is the imam. While there are some beliefs that he can also be invisible and as a argument being used that he is not only hidden from human eye but also from the eyes of the djins, so is he in a different dimension or not? ———————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————— Dr. Jalali: A small number of Muslims believe that the Imam of the Age is the son of Imam Hasan 'Askari who was born in the year 256 AH/843 CE. However, they say that he has ascended from this world to the unseen world known as Hurqalya1. When humankind reaches maturity and abandons the strife-ridden life of this world, preparing itself to meet and behold the Imam of the Age, it will be able to see him One of the leading authorities has written thus in his book: This [unseen] world had gravitated until it merged with the earth. In the time of Adam he was told: 'Ascend!' And, until now he is ascending. He has not set himself free from the worldly attachments and the filth that sticks with them. He has not reached the clean atmosphere yet. Thus, here it is all darkness. In darkness a human being is searching for a religion and is performing deeds. He has a set of beliefs. When he frees himself from the dust of the traditions and enters the clean space, he will see the brilliant face of the friend of God [= wali = the twelfth Imam] and benefit from his presence without any obstruction, in public. At that time ordinances of religion will become something else, and religion will attain its original form and everything will be different. The word refers to the mythological universe known to the mystics as very difficult world requiring the strength or courage of Hercules to encounter or accomplish. Tr - The Promised Mahdi is among my descendants. His name and patronymic will be the same as mine. In creation and conduct he will be the closest to me. He will live a life of occultation during which people will become confused and lost. At that time, like a brilliant star he will appear and fill the earth with justice and equity, as it is filled with injustice and tyranny4. Majlisi, Bihar al-anwar, Volume 51, p. 72.- what do you think? Lets we all discuss this topic and may Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى) bless all of us.
  13. I‘ve wondered if they could heal us (Wilayat Takwiniyyah?).I often hear of people being healed during a Ziyarah.
  14. Salam Aleykom! I am new to this forum so I hope I've chosen the right forum for this question. My friend's brother who is Sunni and I were talking where he told me that he had a "Shiabook" where there was a hadith stating that Prophet Muhammad (saw) said that Imam Ali (a.s) is like Surat Qul Hu Allahu Ahad in the Qur’an, therefore he said that the hadith is stating that Imam Ali (a.s.) is like Allah swt (Stagfurallah). However when I searched for the hadith, I found that one of the sources was "Muslim", one of Sunni's most authentic hadith collections. Anyone who knows if this really is included in Muslim because I can't find anything, also are the other sources that's stated from Sunni books and are they "Sahih" (i.e is this hadith considered sahih by sunnis)? “The position of Ali (A.S) amongst the people is like Surat Qul Hu Allahu Ahad in the Qur’an.” Muslim, 1/48; Al-Tirmidhi, 2/299; Al-Nisa’i, 27; Musnad Ahmad, 6/299; Ibn Al-Maghazeli, 191. Also is this hadith classed as Sahih by Shias? And what does this hadith really mean? /Mohamed
  15. I hope the person reading this is well, Insha'Allah. After getting into bad company and facing subsequent losses, I thought about one thing. Many people often quote the Hadith where the Mercy for All Worlds (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) says that Heaven is at the feet of mothers. Surely, this also means that if person A harms person B, such that person B's mother is hurt, even so far that person B's mother cries, especially if Person B is a victim of your Zulm, then despite Person A being good with their mother, Person A has done Zulm on Person B's mother. Due to obvious motherly love, Person B's mother will complain to Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى) about Person A's actions. As such, is it logical to think that Person A is set for an appropriate retribution through the 'Adalat of Allah The Hadith seems to imply that treatment to one's mother is a big determinant towards one's position in the Hereafter, and judging by thge wording, I find that it not only talks about one's own mother, but other mothers as well. Surely, Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى) delivers 'Adl for the Mazloom, so with this logic, is it justified to think that Person A's Hereafter is not a Heavenly one? I found this to be an interesting topic, but since I am so unlearned, I thought I would ask the much more learned people at ShiaChat. JazakAllah
  16. There is this saying of one of the Infallibles (عليه السلام) that goes along the lines of A problem that makes you lose to Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى) is a trial. A problem that pulls you away from Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى) is a curse (Azaab). What is the exact saying? Any sources and exact attributions? I've been looking around for this and haven't been able to find much and would be very grateful for any help. JazakAllah
  17. I pray everyone is fine reading this. This thread is dedicated to the medicine and health guidelines established by the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. I will be including what the medicine is, it's effects, how to use it, etc. Any references I use will be mentioned, both scientifically and traditionally (i.e. narrations, Qur'an), save if it is generally well-known. It should be noted that the medicines will be shortened and not given diffused explanations due to this being an informative thread and not a lesson in a classroom, so summaries will be written. If any further clarification is needed, I will be more than happy to provide an explanation or reasoning as to what is in question. Thank you for reading. 1. On the authority of 'Aisha (Allah be pleased with her), she reported: "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: “Verily, At-Talbinah places at ease the heart of a sick person and takes away some grief.” Sahih Bukhari by Imam Bukhari: volume 7, book 71, hadith #593. Sahih Muslim by Imam Muslim: book 39, hadith #121. What is Talbinah?: Talbinah is a form of broth or soup made with barley flour, warm/hot water, and honey. Though it is usually made with water, milk is also used and is the best of the two options. How do you make Talbinah?: The recipe for Talbinah is quite simple and can be done in minutes. It should be done in this order: 2 tablespoons of barley flour into 2 cups of milk/water and place it over a fire/stove in a small pot. Continuously stir until it becomes like a yogurt or a porridge - usually for a period of 5-15 minutes. Add honey 4 tablespoons of honey (though you may add more if it is not sweet enough to your liking). Let it cool and enjoy! (It is best while hot/warm, so it is recommended you drink it then.) What are the benefits of Talbinah?: Talbinah contains a mixture of ingredients that aid in wellbeing. Honey, being one of the primary ones, contains these benefits: Gets rid of acne, acne scars, dead skin cells, dirt in skin, mucus, bacteria. Heals and soothes burns and all wounds. Improves overall memory. A blockade for different types of cancer cells; disabling them from producing entirely. Excellent for fertility of both genders. Superior antioxidant and antibacterial. Milk is the next ingredient in this medicine, which has these benefits: Prevents all types of cancer and diseases related to the bone (osteoporosis, bone cancer, etc). Strengthens bone, preventing breaks, fractures. Also strengthens teeth, prevents rotting, decay. One of the best sources of vitamin D, calcium, vitamin B. Acts as a proficient weight stabilizer. Allah says in the Qur'an of these mentioned medicines: And your Lord inspired the bee: "Set up hives in the mountains and in the trees and in the trellises that people put up, Then suck the juice of every kind of fruit and keep treading the ways of your Lord which have been made easy." There comes forth from their bellies a drink varied in colors, wherein there is healing for mankind. Verily, that is a sign in for the people who reflect. Surah an-Nahl, verses 69-70. Surely there is a lesson for you in the cattle [i.e. goats, camels, cows]: We provide you to drink out of that which is in their bellies between the feces and the blood - pure milk - which is a pleasant drink for those who take it. Surah an-Nahl, verse 66. Moreover, the Messenger of Allah states in an authentic narration: إِنَّ اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ لَمْ يَضَعْ دَاءً إِلَّا وَضَعَ لَهُ شِفَاءً فَعَلَيْكُمْ بِأَلْبَانِ الْبَقَرِ فَإِنَّهَا تَرُمُّ مِنْ كُلِّ الشَّجَرِ “Verily, Allah Almighty did not place an ailment but that He also placed its cure. You should drink the milk of cows, for they are given health by all kinds of plants.” Musnad Ahmad 18352 - authenticated by Sheikh al-Albani. NOTE: If you are lactose intolerant, you can use camel milk as a substitute rather than your traditional almond, coconut, or soy milk. Later on in this thread, I will post the benefits of camel milk. All these ingredients provide augmentation to the body, even before mixing them. Three tablespoons of honey a day can save one a lifetime of pain and suffering through many diseases. A glass of milk a day strengthens your bones monumentally, and by extension, your entire body. Moving on to the benefits of Talbinah: Works as an antidepressant that is proven to work. Many doctors prescribe antidepressant "medicine" that either has no effect or worsens the overall mood of a person effected with a mental illness. Eases anxiety and stress. Gives an energy boost to those afflicted with sadness, depression, any forms of sickness & illness, etc. Eases the muscles of the body, pain, aches afflicted by mental duress on the body, and provides mental clarity & serenity. Conclusion: Talbinah is one of the best, if not the best, cure for sadness, depression, horrific events, tragedies, many mental illnesses and the like that can be physically consumed, albeit temporarily. The Qur'an, however, is the ultimate cure for all diseases and problems - mentally and physically - without challenge.
  18. The notion of love has it's roots in the trait of kindness. Only a kind person can understand and exhibit love. Now, kind here is not someone who gets delighted after seeing a baby or a dog and starts adoring it. Neither it is someone who starts crying everytime after watching something bad happening to someone. So, what is kindness? A kind person is the one who is bent upon helping anyone with whatever problem one has. He is thirsty of such people who need help. An extremely kind person doesn't want anyone to ask him to help. He feels ashamed if such a thing happens. So, kindness is the pure trait of helping different beings in their works with utter selflessness. Only faith can depict such traits. As Ayatullah Shaheed Murtadha Mutahhari writes in his book, "It is religious faith alone which, above all, respects Truth, honors justice, encourages kindness". So, kindness is a spiritual trait. As this trait becomes more and more apparent within the realm of spirit; it indicates towards a strong, inevitable and beautiful reality. This is called love. It seems, overtly, as if kindness causes love. But no, it is actually love that is the cause of this kind behavior. Love is a feeling while kindness is a trait. Love, though is an extreme force, not easy to control but it has levels. It seems as if it ascends from relative realities to absolute reality. Actually, it breaks down from absolute reality to relative bounds. At the lowest level of this hierarchy is human to human love. This has no essence of itself. It's core lies in faith only. This is just a symbol. Despite being very limited and quite less, it exists. The Holy Prophet (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) has said, "Allah has divided kindness into 100 parts. Out of which 1 part is induced in all humanity." So, the love amongst the humans is basically, 100th part of the entire phenomenon. Amazing. This love can be seen everywhere and everyone has experienced it. May Allah let every person have a taste of love. Love of a mother for her child, a father for his child, among siblings, friends, family relatives, husband and wife etc. It doesn't even matter how they are related or is their even any relationship or not. Love is independent of any relationship, distance or any material dimension. It can be resembled in different ways but love doesn't depend upon it's symbol. At this point, a human mind starts to tremble. Because this feeling is incomprehensible and unpercievable. He tries to break and kill all the false perceptions that might be their. Love, as I said, has no physical dimension. Though, a human mind lagging the ability to understand it, might mistake it (and it happens very often). False notions are created which shame the truth and pure character of love. Carnal desires related to lust and greed always wander in a human mind. But problem occurs when these satanic thoughts are confused or assumed wrongly as love. From this point, this spiritual notion gets materialized and humiliated. This happens to such an extent that as a result it stops the progress of the spirit of a human being. It makes a person blind towards the reality of love — which is progressive — and stops the journey of soul towards it's ultimate destiny. Human love is just a medium to reach the divine and absolute reality of love but greed makes a person feel as if human love itself is divine and he has found our god in the form of that person or being we love in this material world. So, the final result of this false notion is infidelity. Here is the difference between both. The fake love vs real love. One is destructive to an extent that it directs you to hell and the other might help you reach heaven without any punishment. Heaven and hell? Where did that come from? Yes, as I said, Love is truth. Truth is love. And it is divine and absolute. If a human being on the path of love and kindness doesn't recognize Allah or as a result of love, his faith doesn't reach closer to certainty, then he is trapped in a false notion. Above the level of love is worship which is the last. Love is a consequence of the manifestation of divinity (Maarefat e Ilaahi). As I said love doesn't combines, it breaks down. When we practice taqwa, adhere to our faith, earn knowledge, struggle, stay patient and thus our counted amongst the guided ones; we see the beauty of Allah through the eyes of our heart. It amazes us and turns us crazy. Maula Ali (عليه السلام) says when Asked by his companion Dhalib al Yemani, "Yaa Amir ul Momineen (عليه السلام), Have you seen your Lord?" Maula says, "Would I worship that which I do not see? When Asked, "How do you see him"; Amir up Momineen (عليه السلام) says, "Eyes do not see him with direct witnessing. But hearts percieve him through the realities of authentic belief". Seeing the beauty of Allah though he is unseen. This is Maarefah of Allah. This maarefah from worship and a constant search of being, causes love. But love pays back. Love increases the power of worship and makes it more extreme. It beautifies the already beautiful worship of Allah. It makes a person forget this world. It makes him turn away from this world. Such a human being who is drowned in this extreme love of his beloved (Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى) ) is dying to meet his Lord as is also clear from the munajaat of Maula Ali (عليه السلام). Love of Holy Prophet (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) and AhlulBayt (عليه السلام) for Allah and it's depiction in history is the only way we can fascinate ourselves with the beauty of this feeling. Such a person, loves everything associated with Allah. He can sacrifice himself for the sake of Allah. Not only himself, his entire existence without any hesitation. It is written about Maula Ali (عليه السلام) that when some muslims came to the Holy Prophet (عليه السلام) to complain about Ali (عليه السلام), the Prophet (عليه السلام) said, "Don't complain about Ali, he is crazy (Majnoon) in love of Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى)." Now, removing all conseptualization let me make it clear through the intercession of AhlulBayt (عليه السلام). Love is, when a man sleeps for the sake of Allah on the bed of The Messenger of Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) even after knowing that he is surrounded by swords. Love is, when Fatima (SA) spends days in hunger and nights in prayer of the Almighty but never complains to anyone about her pains. Love is, when this woman (Fatima (SA)) stands like a mountain between his husband — Wali of Allah — and the oppressors who were burning her house to defend Haq. Love is, when a woman(Fatima (SA) again) being a child accompanies her father and supports him when he is attacked, laughed off and taken lightly by the meccans for the message he conveys and as a result is called as Umm Abiha. Love is, when a man (Imam Hussain (عليه السلام) ) who has committed himself to sacrifice, after sacrificing his whole family, with his body bathed in blood puts himself into the last prostration (sujood) to his lord. Love is, when a woman (Zainab (SA) ) despite all what she saw, despite the chains around her body, despite the thirst killing her throat and the humility she beared as a consequence of her veil being taken away; despite no one, except her ill nephew, standing for her, speaks so loud and so clear that the throne of the tyrant of that time and everytime and his system from top to bottom trembles and breaks into pieces. Love is, when this woman is asked in a disrespectful tone, "Did you see what Allah did to you?" She says, "I saw nothing but the beauty of Allah ((سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى))". I cannot go ahead of this. So, it becomes clear that love is only for Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى) and from Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى). It resembles kindness and sacrifice. It actually needs sacrifice to flourish in every heart. It needs sacrifice as it's own resemblance. It needs sacrifice for the success of human spirit. Not only from an individualistic stand point because sacrifice has an impact on masses. So, here comes the importance of the greatest effect of love on a soul which is the spirit of sacrifice. Like Ibrahim (عليه السلام) did of his son. Like Lady Hajra (عليه السلام) did of her calm life with her husband and accepted to stay in a desert relying only on her beloved (Allah). So, sacrifice is the greatest symbol of love. And what is the greatest example of sacrifice? Karbala. Can you imagine a person who says to his companions that you will be martyred, your heads will be slaughtered and raised on lances? Who says: 'Leave me alone to die as my enemies need me and not you.' ? But however he may insist, his companions don't move. They are seeing themselves cut into pieces but our eager to go to the battle ground. Who cannot be stunned by such conviction? Who are these people? Who are we in front of such people? We follow our rubbish lame desires. Are we blind or is the history of such people not clear enough? What if we start to follow Weheb al Kalbi (رضي الله عنه), who got martyred and slaughtered while he just got married. What if the woman become like her wife, who saw her smart, young and wonderful husband getting slaughtered in front of her? What will go wrong if mother's take pride in sacrificing their children for the sake of Allah, wherever and whenever possible instead of pampering them and teaching them to become coward? Have you ever seen a sacrifice of a 6 months child? Can anyone imagine herself in place of Bibi Umm Rabab Have you seen a mother who prays to Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى) and prostrates in front of Allah out of thankfulness when she hears the news that both of her dear sons got martyred? She doesn't even cry on them. She barely asks about their dead bloodied bodies. Allahu Akber! What can one say? Just doing this conversation and penning down this glorification of love is making me tremble. Karbala's example is unique just like our religion and the holy figures that stand as divine guides for us. Though Karbala carries the legacy of simple human beings like us. But can you see how love changes everything? Imam Hussain (عليه السلام) created friends of Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى) out of human beings. His Caravan of sacrifice led the greatest example of divine love humanity will ever see. What can we take for us from here besides humility as lovers and shame as worshippers. Humility about our weak hearts who don't nourish the feeling of love to such an extent. Shame that our prostrations, if even as much as the stars in the sky, cannot equate to the millionth of the prostrations of the Martyrs of Karbala on the plains of Karbala. But their is a glimmer of hope. It's true that love of Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى) is far beyond from the realm of imagination and we cannot sustain it so easily. But their is hope. Hope that comes from AhlulBayt (عليه السلام). Hope that takes an afflicted, painful heart full of regret in the camp of Yazid, from his calm abode to Imam Hussain (عليه السلام) within a night. Hope that makes us quit our food and drinks on the 10th of Ashura (those who genuinely do) and makes us cry and vail for Imam Hussain (عليه السلام). As this hope remains, it is developed through love. Love for Ahl ul Bayt (عليه السلام). Love for Imam Hussain (عليه السلام). If we make efforts, it is not difficult. When Hurr ibn Yazid al Riyahi (رضي الله عنه) changed his fate in one night by developing all these traits, realising all these instincts; why can't we? He developed love for Imam Hussain (عليه السلام). This is intercession. When Imam (عليه السلام) becomes your beloved, your destiny, he will divert your path towards the divine love of Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى). The notion of mourning the martyrdom and misery of Imam Hussain (عليه السلام) opens the door of love, devotion and self sacrifice within the soul of a human being. It's so deep that it can revive a dead soul. Imam Khomeini has said, "Keep the event of Karbala and the holy name of Imam Hussain (عليه السلام) alive. For by it's survival, Islam will survive." So, don't miss these mourning events. Marsiya and Nauha recited for our beloved Imam (عليه السلام). You will automatically notice that Allah has changed you. You will experience that change at the end of Muharram. As if some new hidden realities have been shown to you. Even if you read down entire books of Hadith and Qur'an and pray day and night, the effect on your soul will not be as swift as contemplating on the tragedy of Karbala and the life of Ahlul Bayt (عليه السلام). Qur'anic verses are beautified by the character of Ahlulbayt (عليه السلام). Qur'an is a book and it's visual reality is the life of Ahlulbayt (عليه السلام). If you have love for Ahlulbayt (عليه السلام), you'll fall in love with Qur'an automatically. Falling in love with both of them will let you gain Maarefat of The Holy Prophet (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) and his Maarefat to the love of Allah. When this divine love will be in your heart, it will break down into infinite denominations and will fall as kindness upon every creature of Allah. In this way, you'll find yourself in love with everything. As Imam Hussain (عليه السلام) says, "O Allah, What did he find who lost you? What did he lose who found you?" [Dua Arafah]. Start your journey of love and immerse yourself in this ocean of love. Though this is nothing in comparison to what an explanation of love should be and my words are not enough to express it. Even if I write what all encompasses my mind, I won't be able to convey it completely.
  19. Bismillah i Rahman i Raheem Assalaam o 'Alaikum Wa Rahmatullah i Wa Barakaatuh I recall listening to a Majlis where the speaker mentioned the story of Prophet 'Isma'il (عليه السلام), but not the son of Prophet Ibrahim (عليه السلام), rather another prophet with the same name. The story goes that the people he preached to put him through severe suffering (of which I will not go in the details here unless asked to) and an angel descended and asked him if he would like to curse these people. The Prophet 'Isma'il (عليه السلام) replied that he does not want that, and instead just wants his name to be among the names of the martyrs of Karbala. Recently, I tried to find out who this Prophet was, and I think he might be Prophet 'Isma'il (Sadiq al-wa'd) (عليه السلام), he was listed separate from Prophet 'Isma'il (عليه السلام) son of Prophet Ibrahim (عليه السلام) on wikishia's page on prophets. I tried to find out more through this, but I could only find this link: http://ahlulbaytportal.net/en.php/page,28246A64432.html?PHPSESSID=58ec25b69e6a9ae5178275b1184e81b1 The link cannot be accessed unfortunately. So my first question, can anyone help me in learning more about this Prophet 'Isma'il (عليه السلام)? My second question, is this prophet in fact Prophet 'Isma'il (Sadiq al-wa'd) (عليه السلام)? I would appreciate any and all help, this is a very interesting topic to me since I am fascinated by the history of Islam as well, and would like to spread knowledge to my family about this. JazakAllah Wa 'Alaikum Assalaam Wa Rahmatullah i Wa Barakaatuh
  20. I have tried to put all important dates and events on one page so that readers can see the reference between birth and an event, age of a particular individual at the time of revelation, comparing ages etc. It is printable version on A3 page! Due to the limit and restrictions I am unable to attach files with .xls or .pub extension and in case anyone needs editable format please let me know and I will be happy to share! I have taken all possible precautions to be as accurate as possible but since it is a mix of books and internet so I suggest readers to check the dates and in case of any mistakes, kindly inform me! 21. What do shias believe about Jesus and his 12 disciples? Are there any hadiths/narrations about Jesus or his Disciples in your 4 hadith books?
  22. The hadith of the prophet saw states that there will be 73 sects in his ummah and only one will be in paradise. Every sect believes in it and try to make a claim that they are that one sect. A. Sunni Hadith: Another Hadith is there in Hadith book Tirmdhi Hadith no 171 Narrated by Abdullah ibn Amr Allah's Messenger (peace be upon him) said: There will befall my Ummah exactly (all those) evils which befell the people of Isra'il, so much so that if there was one amongst them who openly committed fornication with his mother there will be among my Ummah one who will do that, and if the people of Isra'il were fragmented into seventy-two sects my Ummah will be fragmented into seventy-three sects. All of them will be in Hell Fire except one sect. They (the Companions) said: Allah's Messenger, which is that? Whereupon he said: It is one to which I and my companions belong. (Tirmidhi Hadith No. 171) B- Shia Hadith: From Aboo Khaalid Al-Kaabulee (Kankar) from Abee Ja`far (عليه السلام): He said: (asked about the words) «God tells a parable in which there is a company of quarrelsome people and only one of them is well disciplined. Can they be considered as equal? » (39:39). He (عليه السلام) said: «The quarrelsome ones» are because the first ones gather the different ones in his leadership and they did la`nah (curse) and did bara’a (disassociate) from each other. «The well disciplined man» is the first in the matters of his right as well as his Shee`ahs (followers). Then He (عليه السلام) said: “The Jews after Moosa (عليه السلام) separated into 71 sects of which one is in Jannah (i.e. Heaven) and the (remaining) 70 sects are in the fire (i.e. Hell). And the Christians after `Eesa (عليه السلام) separated into 72 sects of which one sect is in Jannah and the (remaining) 71 (sects) are in the fire. And this Ummah after the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) separated into 73 sects and 72 sects are in the fire and one sect is in Jannah and from the 73 sects, 13 of the sects plagiarize/impersonate friendship and wilayah of us (the Imaams), and 12 sects from it are in the fire, and one sect is in Jannah, and the (remaining) 60 sects from the rest of the people are in the fire” Source: 1. Al-Kulayni, Al-Kaafi, vol. 8, pg. 224, hadeeth # 283 Grading: 1. Al-Majlisi said this hadeeth is Hasan (Good) à Mir’aat Al-`Uqool, vol. 26, pg. 153 2. Al-Haadee Al-Najafee said this hadeeth has a Mu`tabar (Valid/Esteemed) Isnaad à Mawsoo`ah aHaadeeth, vol. 8, pg. 399 As per shia hadith the followers of the 12 imams from the Ahl albayt, the prophet sawww, having their wilaya will be in paradise. C- The sunni hadith about the companions if verified against the verses of Quran we get this evidence that Quran addresses the companions of the prophet in different manner and categorizes them in three groups: 1. The First group addressed by Quran as believers, and they are righteous. Quran praises them. 2. The Second Group addressed by Quran as believers and they are not sincere in their actions. Quran warns them. 3. The Third Group addressed by Quran who are hypocrites (Munafiqeen) among sahaba they may turn away from religion. Quran taunts them. The detail can be seen at the given link: http://www.shiachat.com/forum/topic/235015369-does-the-quran-disrespect-the-sahaba/ I like to quote here the hadith of two weighty things as per view of by shia and sunni: 1- Shia View: Two weighty things: book of Allah swt ie quran and the Ahl albayt of the prophet. 2- Sunni view: Two weighty things: book of Allah swt ie quran and the sunnah (sayings and actions) of the prophet. The first hadith has also been narrated in Sahiheen books including Sahih Muslim. The comparison of both the hadith provides the evidence that the true sunna comes through Ahl albaayt alone. D- Similarly it can be derived from the comparison of both versions of hadith mentioned for 1 out of 73 sects that the rightful companions who are followers of Ahl albayt can be considered among one saved group. But have we should try to verify this assumption based on hadith further in the light of Quran. The Quran does mention that there is everything existing in Quran so we need to think on it in a logical manner: Also the criterion of hadith is considered as Quran. The hadith does mention about 73 sects. There is only one Sura in the Quran that has 73 verses alone. The name of the Sura is Alahzab. Ahzab means the groups (or it may be taken as sects). There is need to further study to get if we can get truth by this Sura. E- As the quran mentions in many verses to follow the prophet saaw, so I try to get the word Rasool ie prophet saw from this Sura. This word has been repeated 14 times in 12 verses. These are mentioned below: The word Rasool mentioned in Sura Ahzab, 14 times in 12 verses. F- The Arabic word used for the prophet saww is “Nabi” ٱلنَّبِىُّ that is also used for our prophet saw. It has been mentioned in the following verses of Sura Alahzab. The word Nabi has also been repeated 14 times again in 12 verses. This shows the importance mentioned by quran associated with the prophet the number 14 and number 12. G- Importance of thinking on the verses of Quran: 1. Then do they not reflect upon the Qur'an? If it had been from [any] other than Allah , they would have found within it much contradiction. 2. [This is] a blessed Book which We have revealed to you, [O Muhammad], that they might reflect upon its verses and that those of understanding would be reminded. 3. That is [deserved by them] because Allah has sent down the Book in truth. And indeed, those who differ over the Book are in extreme dissension.(2:176) H- From the hadith of the prophet saaw there will be 12 imams /successors after him from his progeny ie Ahl albayt the names of those include: The first one is Imam Ali and last ie 12th one Imam Al Mahdi. Many hadith from shia and sunni sources provide this evidence. Now there is only one verse out of 73 verses where the Ah albaayt including the prophet saw has been addressed. That’s know as the verse of purification (33:33). This is the similarity that has been exhibited by the words of the prophet saw in his hadith ie 1 out of 73 sects. The hadith of thaqlayn clearly mentions about following the two weighty things ie book of Allah swt and Quran and they are not separated. The verse of purification addresses those purified Ahl albayt in this verse. I- We need to verify it further that the number 12 and 14 is related to these imams in this sura. I like to quote from the sources the names of 14 individuals including the prophet saaw mentioned by hadith given below: قلت : نعم یا رب ۔ فقال لی : التفت عن یمین العرش ۔ فالتفت فاذا انأ بعلی و فاطمۃ و الحسن و الحسین و علی بن الحسین و محمد بن علی و جعفر بن محمد و موسی بن جعفر و علی بن موسی و محمد بن علی و علی بن محمد و الحسن بن علی و المھدی فی ضحضاح من نور ، قیام یصلون و ھو فی و سطھم یعنی المھدی ۔ یضی کانہ کوکب دری۔ فقال : یا محمد ھو لأ الحجج و ھو الثا ٔر من عترتک ، فو عزتی و جلالی انہ النا صر لاو لیا یٔ ، و المنتقم من اعدایٔ و لھم الحجۃ الواجبۃ و بھم یمسک اللہ السماوات ان تقع علی الارض الا باذنہ ۔ Ahmed b Muhammad b Ubaidillah Al-Hafiz narrated from Ali b Sinan Al-Mousili from Ahmad b Muhammad Al-Khalili Al-Amoli, from Muhammad b Saleh, from Sulaymaan b Ahmad, from Ziyad b Muslim, from Abdul Rahman b Yazid b Jabir, from Salaam from Abi Salama, who said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (saww) say: On the night of Meraaj, Allah asked me, “Did the messenger believe in what was revealed to him from his Lord?” I said “Yes”, And the believers believed in Allah, His angels, His books and His messengers.” Allah said “You are right”. Then Allah asked, “ Who did you choose as a successor?” I said, “The best of my nation”.Allah asked “ Do you mean Ali bin Abi Talib”? I replied, “ Yes, O Allah”. Then Allah said: O Muhammad! I looked at all of My creation and I chose you from among all of them. Then I derived a name for you from My name. Therefore, it is not permitted that anyone mention Me without you with Me. My name is Mahmoud and your name is Muhammad. Then I looked again (at all of My creation) and I chose Ali, and I derived a name for him from My name. So My name is Ali, the extremely high, and his name is Ali. O Muhammad I created you, Ali, Fatima, Hassan, Hussain and the rest of Imams from Hussain’s sons from My own light. Then I asked all of my creations in the skies and the earths to accept your Wilayat. I consider those who accept it as believers, and I consider those who refuse it as Kafirs. O Muhammad! If a slave from among My slaves worships me until he is torn and nothing is left from him, but he refuses to accept your Wilayat, Ali’s Wilayat, and the Wilayat of the Imams from his sons, I will not accept him or forgive him until he accepts your Wilayat, Ali’s Wilayat and the Wilayat of the Imams from his sons. Then Allah asked me, “O Muhammad, would you like to see them?” I replied. “Yes, O Allah”. Allah said, “Look to the right of the Throne.” Then I looked and I saw Ali, Fatima, Hassan, Hussain, Ali bin Hussain’ Mohammad bin Ali, Jaafar bin Muhammad, Musa bin Jaafar, Ali bin Musa, Muhammad bin Ali, Ali bin Muhammad, Hassan bin Ali, and the Mahdi. They were surrounded by light and they were standing and praying to Allah. Mahdi was in the center and he was shining like a brilliant star. Then Allah said: O Muhammad, they are My decisive proofs, and Mahdi will take revenge on My behalf. I swear by My Magnificence, he supports My friends and takes Revenge on My enemies. Following them and accepting their Wilayat is WAJIB (obligatory) on everyone. With My permission they prevent the skies from Falling on the earth. Reference: 100 Virtues of Imam Ali AS and his sons by Ibne Shazan - Bihar ul Anwar, V27 p199 h27 and others. J- Thus 14 names as mentioned in the hadith can be written as : 1. The prophet Muhammad saaw 2. Fatima SA 3. Imam Ali AS 4. Imam Hassan AS 5. Imam Hussain AS 6. Imam Ali bin Hussain AS 7. Imam Muhammad bin Ali bin Hussain AS 8. Imam ja’far bin Muhammad AS 9. Imam Musa bin ja’far AS 10. Imam Ali bin Musa AS 11. Imam Muhammad bin Ali AS 12. Imam Ali bin Muhammad AS 13. Imam Hassan bin Muhammad AS 14. Imam Muhammad (Mahdi) bin Hassan AS K- The verses of purification that mentions the Ahl albayt can be written in Arabic text below: إِنَّمَا يُرِيدُ ٱللَّهُ لِيُذْهِبَ عَنكُمُ ٱلرِّجْسَ أَهْلَ ٱلْبَيْتِ وَيُطَهِّرَكُمْ تَطْهِيرًۭا {٣٣} Indeed Allah desires to repel all impurity from you, O People of the Household, and purify you with a thorough purification. (Last part 33:33) The aerobic text provides the evidence that the text has been structured using exactly 14 Alphabets that have dots. These are mentioned below for clarity as quoted In the above verse in red colour: ن ی ی ی ز ب ن ج ب ی ت ی ت ی The total alphabets in this verse including the 14 with dots are counted as 47. So the Ahl al bayt are connected to the number 47 as given below: ا ن م ا ی ر ی د ا ل ل ہ ل ی ز ہ ب ع ن ک م ا ل ر ج س ا ہ ل ا ل ب ی ت و ی ط ہ ر ک م ت ط ہ ی ر ا. L- If we carry on and look the Sura number 47 placed in the Quran every one with receptive mind is surprised to know that the name of this Sura is Muhammad . This is the name of the prophet saw thus confirming that the verse of purification has a central place to exhibit the 14 infallibles including the prophet chosen by Allah swt. No one else has this respect and virtues. M- The Quran mentions in its many verses for the believers to Obey Allah swt and the Prophet saaw. يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا أَطِيعُوا اللَّـهَ وَأَطِيعُوا الرَّسُولَ وَلَا تُبْطِلُوا أَعْمَالَكُمْ ﴿٣٣﴾ Does this has any numerical connection? We need to verify it before we go any further: The Quran has one Sura for explaining the specific concept of Tauheed / oneness of Allah swt. This is named as Sura Tauheed / Al Ikhlas, it is placed at number 112. It has 4 verses. The Arabic text of these 4 verses is quoted below: قُلْ هُوَ ٱللَّهُ أَحَدٌ {١} ٱللَّهُ ٱلصَّمَدُ {٢} لَمْ يَلِدْ وَلَمْ يُولَدْ {٣} وَلَمْ يَكُن لَّهُۥ كُفُوًا أَحَدٌۢ {٤} The separate alphabets of these verses are given below: ق ل ہ و ا ل ل ہ ا ح د۔ ا ل ل ہ ا ل ص م د۔ ل م ی ل د و ل م ی و ل د ۔ و ل م ی ک ن ل ہ ک ف و ا ا ح د۔ And another astonishing truth comes here that he sum of the alphabets in these verses is exactly 47. The above provides the numerical evidence of the verses that obeying Allah swt means to obey the prophet saw and these concepts of obeying are linked with the numeral 47. The above discussion provides the evidence that obeying is linked with numeral 47: - Obeying Allah swt linked with numeral 47 - Obeying the prophet Muhammad saw likned with numeral 47 - Similarly Obeying Ahl Albayt is linked with numeral 47 (verse of purification is the evidence) N- Is there any verse that provides the Obeying three in numbers? Obey Allah and obey the Messenger and those vested with authority among you. And if you dispute concerning anything, refer it to Allah and the Messenger, if you have faith in Allah and the Last Day. That is better and more favourable in outcome. First part of the verse is taken for research and is mentioned below: The first part of the verse mentions three types who are to be obeyed: Allah swt, the Prophet Muhammad SAWW and Ulil Amr. This part of verse has 14 dots in it. This is the proof coming from the hadith of the prophet Muhamamd saaw to follow Quran and Ahl albayt. The above verse mentions the three obeying and the discussion has provided the evidences that these linked to numeral 47 alone. O- Further verses of Quran: Sura Al-Qamar, verse 17. And We have indeed made the Qur'an easy to understand and remember: then is there any that will receive admonition? It is stated in the Quran that: i) Sura Sad, verse 29. “This is the Blessed Book that we have revealed to you, (O Muhammad), that people with understanding may reflect over its verses and those with understanding derive a lesson” Conclusion: That’s is the true interpretation of the hadith of 1 saved group / sect out of 73 sects in the light of the verses of Quran and their analysis as conducted above. The result we can mention the saved sect follows the Ahl albayt including 14 infallibles alone. wasalam
  23. Many people have claimed some kind of divine revelation throughout history, so in that respect Muhammad is no unique. I want to know your reasons for choosing Islam over any other religion, and why I should chose it. Why should we believe in Muhammad over Zoroaster, or Buddha, or Mani, or Joseph Smith, or Ellen G. White? How is Muhammad superior to these other "prophets"? How did he prove himself? What makes him unique?
  24. Salam alaykum sisters and brothers and Ramadan Kareem! Yesterday I found out methods of Istikhara and how to perform it by doing tasbeeh (counting beads with a rosary). I performed the same night the same method given out by imam Al Mahdi (A.S) and the first time I got an answer telling me to do it (what is on my mind). I performed again (the same method) after and it instead said to not do it. I then a few minutes after performed another method given out by another imam (A.S) which I forgot whom it was and my answer came out to be to do it. And now a day later i performed istikhara a few times with the different methods by different imams and some of the answers were to not do it while others were to do it. I then performed the istikhara given out by prophet Muhammad (A.S) which you get an answer from by opening the Quran after following some other steps and then seeing which sentence you get. I don’t remember which sentence/verse I got but if I would translate it to an answer I would say the answer were to not do it or like to not do something without Allah allowing it. I’m now very confused, shall I do the thing in my mind or not. I don’t remember if I got “do it” most or “do not do it” most. But I think I got “do it” maybe one or two times more than to not do it. Please if anyone knows what you shall do (based on knowledges) can you please advise me? And please brothers and sisters avoiding telling me to not do it only to be on the safe zone because I really want to make my decision but of course seek Allah the almighty’s knowledge and permission first. Jazakhum Allah Khayr o3alaykum alsalam o rahmat Allah o barakato! Here is the link to where all the methods that I performed are: http://www.duas.org/istikhara.htm
