Salam everyone , I'm new to this forum and have a question. I'm a shia Muslim residing in the the USA, and I just bought a painting depicting Buddha's face to decorate my living room. According to shia law, is it permissible to hang such a piece of art in the house? It's obviously just for decorative purpose and the picture basically depicts budha's face with a few flowers on the sides. A few of my Sunni friends here pointed out that muslims can't have a picture of Buddha in the house as only Buddhists would have those. Is this true? Please help me solve my dilemma and if possible, please provide reference or a fatwa to help me understand. Thanks, Erum
Assalamo alaykom. The point of the topic is to throwing some images of shia people and places in Iran. You can also post any image that you think match the topic( doesn't matter if the image has been took in an another country). Preferred handy cam pictures or selfies. Besmellah Salaam, inshAllah you are in the state of good health and iman. One of my friends tells me that I analyze some things a bit excessively, but I can't help it when some form of art is so extraordinary & well depicted! I came across a picture fairly recently and thought I'd share it since I felt that the meaning behind it was quite ingenious. It would be interesting to read what your take on this visual is and share any other form of Hejab-related art you think is thought provoking. jazakAllah khair :)
(bismillah) Would a poster of this picture given as a present to a friend be considered haram.? Because I got one in a jigsaw form where I would finish the jigsaw then it becomes like a poster. However I was unaware of the ruling, I will have to throw it away in case its haram. Would any of them be considered haram? Please enlighten me with your answers. Thanks in advance
