  3. Assalamalekum brothers and sisters, In my community (Indo-Pak) our elders have been celebrating Nowroz from a long time ago. As per my findings it's a Persian new year (1st day of spring), but is it related with our religion? and if yes then what practices should be performed that day ? Salam
  4. Salam, New gregorian year is starting. Most of the people follow the gregorian dates for various life changing events so for whatever it's worth, please make an effort to start it with these two acts: 1. Salat ul Layl before the Fajr of Jan. 1st of 2014. 2. Ziarat Ashura with Dua After the Ziarat during the day of 1st Jan. InshaAllah let's plan on meeting each other in Karbala this year.
  5. (bismillah) 1st terrorist attack of new year 2014 on shias pilgrims coming back from karbala after ziarat of imam Hussain (AS) At least three people were killed and 24 others injured when a bus carrying pilgrims was hit by a roadside blast in Akhtarabad town in Quetta, police and witnesses said Wednesday. The bus, carrying at least 50 Shia pilgrims, was travelling from Iran to the city of Quetta in Balochistan when the attack happened near Qambrani Road. The bus burst into flames after the intense blast. Panic gripped the area after the incident. Passersby and local residents shifted the victims to nearby hospitals on a self-help basis. Emergency and rescue teams were dispatched to the blast site. An emergency has been declared at Bolan Medical Complex. Security personnel were cordoning off the blast site to control the situation. No group has admitted carrying out the attack but police say they believe the motive was sectarian. Buses leave Quetta every day to carry pilgrims to the Shia holy sites in western Iran and parts of southern Iraq. The area has been frequently been targeted in sectarian, suicide and other militant attacks in the past. Ya Imam e Zaman (AS) come for help
  6. I know it sounds like an odd question, but, as far as I am aware Allah (swt) locks Satan in Hell for the month of Ramdan. In that case surely he's freed during Eid, meaning he can get back to misguiding people. In that case wouldn't that make Eid a day of celebration for Satan, as he is no longer bound by Allah? :P
