  1. The verse of Mubahila mentions the Nafs ie self / soul of the prophet saaw. فَمَنْ حَآجَّكَ فِيهِ مِنۢ بَعْدِ مَا جَآءَكَ مِنَ ٱلْعِلْمِ فَقُلْ تَعَالَوْا۟ نَدْعُ أَبْنَآءَنَا وَأَبْنَآءَكُمْ وَنِسَآءَنَا وَنِسَآءَكُمْ وَأَنفُسَنَا وَأَنفُسَكُمْ ثُمَّ نَبْتَهِلْ فَنَجْعَل لَّعْنَتَ ٱللَّهِ عَلَى ٱلْكَٰذِبِينَ {٦١} 003:061 Should anyone argue with you concerning him, after the knowledge that has come to you, say, ‘Come! Let us call our sons and your sons, our women and your women, our souls and your souls, then let us pray earnestly, and call down Allah’s curse upon the liars.’ From the recorded history of mubahila it is mentioned "In this way, the Prophet (S) challenged the Christians. The next day the Christian priests came out on one side of the field. Also on the other side, the Prophet came out of his house carrying al-Husayn in his arm with al-Hasan walking along with him while he was holding his hand. Behind him was Fatimah al-Zahra (sa), and behind her was ‘Ali, peace be upon them all. When the Christians saw the five pure souls, and how determined the Prophet is in his idea that he put the closest people to him at risk, the Christians were terrified and abstained from the proposed malediction (Mubahala) and submitted to a treaty with the Prophet (S). al-Suyuti who was a great Sunni scholar, wrote: In the above verse (3:61), according to what Jabir Ibn Abdillah al-Ansari (the great companion of the Prophet) said, the word "sons”refers to al-Hasan and al-Husayn, the word "women”refers to Fatimah, and the word "our selves”refer to the Prophet and ‘Ali. Thus ‘Ali is referred as "the self”of the Prophet (Nafs of the Prophet). Reference: al-Durr al-Manthoor by al-Hafidh Jalaluddin al-Suyuti, v2, p38 It follows that just as it is unlawful to seek to be superior to the Prophet, similarly it is unlawful to supersede ‘Ali (who is the "self”of the Prophet according to the words of Allah). Any one who presumed to supersede ‘Ali, was, in essence, presumed to supersede the Prophet! The following verse mentions again the Nafs ie soul of the Prophet saaw: 009:120 It is not fitting for the people of Madinah and the Bedouins around them to hang back behind the Messenger of Allah and prefer their own self to his self. That is because they neither experience any thirst, nor fatigue, nor hunger, in the way of Allah, nor do they tread any ground enraging the faithless, nor do they gain any ground against an enemy but a righteous deed is written for them on its account. Indeed Allah does not waste the reward of the virtuous. It forms clear instruction not to prefer any one over Imam Ali As who is declared as Nafs ie self / Soul of the prophet saaw. Any comments?
  2. As-Salaam-u-Alaykum In the spirit of the late Imam, I was wondering if there are any authentic sources from the time of his teachings? Many include the Spirituality and the Deen, but I was wondering if there are any concerning the Nafs and the rooh. Jazak-Allah
  3. Selams to all Bismillah An idea i had about the power to create So basically , obviously The Ultimate Creator is God, that is without question without doubt however looking at nature, the power to create is not unique to God alone, in that He has given power to create to many creatures, the most basic one being the power to create life in that we all produce all the ingredients to fully create a fully functional human body Each creature has the ability and power to create life, be they women or men, and when we scrutinize it even further some have even more specific kinds of abilities, such as a spider can create a spider web which might even be stronger then its own body , a bird can create flight, other animals can create even more complex things like electromagnetic waves, frequencies, and detect them as well A bat can detect 50,000 Mhz of sound and perhaps even create inaudible sounds to us , and many other creatures can create phenomenal things such as a squid can create poison/ink or a snake can create poison etc Furthermore almost every creature can process things , they can eat something, take from it nutrients and then turn it into their own flesh and bone and blood, and get rid of the rest that they dont need Each living creature is also a chemical lab, a chemical processing machine, they take a certain type of chemical and turn it into another type of chemical by various ways in various parts of its body We also create energy , in that we eat something and turn it into energy which we can use to zip us around So in retrospect we are like a chemical processing machine, a laboratory, a nuclear plant If you go even further down you go to cells and eventually, we are all atoms, some like this some like that. Now my point is this, we have almost ALL the chemicals a chemical lab can need to be able to produce almost anything, literally everything in us is everything that is outside of us , we have all the tools and ingredients to literally be able to create almost everything in the universe In that we are a small portion of everything and we have all the material to be able to create whatever can be created with it SO my idea is this, what if we can gain control of our "tools" what if we can control these chemicals down to the tiniest atom, in that we can order atoms or chemicals to mix and do whatever they do, to create whatever we like Yes it requires the separation of the current engine which is doing what it does, but once gained perhaps we can actually turn it into our own perfect control mechanism Our skin can take in sunlight, our digestive track can take in various matter, so the idea is that we should be able to create anything we like , we just need to gain control of the processes and "labs" inside ourselves and use them in the way that it is needed to be used I suppose it would be like controlled metamorphosis but why not? There is so much we dont know about the human body If the human body can by defection create cancer cells and other diseases in itself when things state to go awry, then surely it can also create the cure and beyond it We just need to find a way to gain control of our own system, to gain control of the brain and tell it what to do instead of the other way around Obviously we believe in the spirit as the driver, and the body as the car, and the mind is included in the body , so it would be a bit like who is able to learn how to drive it better and more efficiently and eventually in total control When you look at the stories of people like Buddha, what is attributed to him is this very thing, in that he controlled his body completely and totally , and in the processes he was able to turn himself into a blast of energy and transform himself to whatever location, or even sometimes bi-location or even more then one location at once Some of the miracles attributed to him were that he was able to grow himself into a giant, shrink himself into an ant, walk through mountains and other objects , create water and fire from himself , and various other things like split into hundreds of himself and have control of each person as if each was an individual , float in the air So maybe what he achieved was this very essence, he achieved total control of his body by the soul and to shape it however he wants, its not like we have to add anything to ourselves, we have all the ingredients there, we just need to gain power and control over them to use them as we please Your thoughts?
  4. The Noble Qur'an is the Universal Message of the Creator (in his own words). The Message is first and foremost directed to the Holy Prophet and the Ahlul Bayt (the qualified and divinely appointed successors of the Prophet) so that they can convey and explain it to us. There are two keys to unlock the [...] Read more of this post: http://losthumanity.org/2014/05/17/luminosity-of-the-heart-and-the-words-of-the-creator/ -- Lost Humanity Blog http://losthumanity.org
