On Reddit, I’ve come across a self-proclaimed “ex-Muslim,” who even happens to be an Iraqi Shia residing in the USA. Most of his claims are based on misinterpretations of the Quran, and I have duly refuted them. But he seems to know nothing about Shiism other than “some guy named Ali wanted to be leader.” (Astaghfirallah, his words not mine) Meaning that his “reasons” for leaving Islam had nothing to do with the Jaafari school of thought and had to do with Islam in general. I’ve told him that there is a tremendous difference between Shiism and Sunnism, but how can I bring him back to the deen without overwhelming him? I’ve shown him some of the scientific miracles in the Quran, but he merely shrugs them off. Any advice? -
If a person from an Islamic country committed Apostasy of Islam abroad, and returns as a non-Muslim citizen, would they still be committing a crime? Alsalamu Alaykum I would rather start my responding by a verse of the Quran in this regard; At the very beginning, we shall know about the kinds of apostasy or the differences between apostates, then Islamic rules in accordance with every one of them would be expressed.

Salaam, I have close Muslim friends who I know online for 2 years, It's a group of people, this group of people publicly deny their South asian heritage and ancestry even when there is proof that they are not who they say they are. One is a male who is Hyderabadi (SouthIndian full blooded) and claims he's an Arab and Persian, he started insulting my religion when I confronted him even when i was respectful, I am no longer friends with this guy, The other person is a Female, She is Pakistani Punjabi and pretends to be Lebanese, I confronted this Women as well and she began insulting me personally, so I am no longer her friend, These 2 people have been insulting my family and talking about me when i am not present, There is something in the Quran about this, "Who deny their fathers linage is cursed by GOD (Allah)" and something about backbting/gossiping, please help me with this
