Assalam.
Our dear brother, @Haydar Husayn reminds me something.
One day Shaykh Abbas Qumi, the owner of the Dua book of Mafatih (that's not a joke, almost every shia has this book in the house) was imam Jema'at in Goharshad Mosque (it's in Imam reza a.s shrine). He finished the Zuhr pray but while he was angry he left the mosque! Days after when they asked him about the issue he said: before I finish my Zikr of Rokoo'o a prayer said: Ya Allah!(means=hey imam! don't stand I'm close to say the Takbir so he can join the prayers), so I felt that my nafs was happy!(bcz of the long lines of prayers)
See? How he avoided to be famous or in public eyes or tongues?
An another story:
He wrote a new book and gave it to one of his friends. His friend was using it as a reference on Menbar to speaking for people about its religious content.
Shaykh Abbas Qumi's Father heard the content and subjects, once he reached the house told his son: Hey Abbas! Your friend has some good new stuff to say from his new book! You should write a book like that!(why you don't have such a book? Said that sarcastic). Guess what Shaykh said? Did he said the book is mine? No! Instead he said: Enshallah but seems he's better and knowledgeable than me.
That's the Humble shaykh Abbas Qumi, The Mokhlis, who was crying before he die and the reason was: he wasn't sure if Allah swt can forgive him bcz of a Maslahati Lie that saved a life, he didn't have any haram in his life.
Wassalam.
