I am great fan of the Allama. I am trying to find out if he frequents a specific mosque or institution, so that I can attend it regularly. May Allah bless and send peace upon Muhammad and the Family of Muhammad.

Will prevail when Imam Mahdi ((عليه السلام)) and Prophet Jesus ((عليه السلام)) returns. For the most part, the Palestinians have been brain washed by the salafi’s to the extent that a large percentage of Isis fighters when they were caught were from Palestine and then Chechnya then Tunisia and then Saudi Arabia. I think you and the other guy that I’ve heard of are the only Palestinian Shia’s that exists. The rest are either “Sunni” or “Christian” in short yous are rare gem.

As salamu alaykum I hope everyone is in the best of health Insha’Allah during these crazy times. I’m a 18 year old Palestinian and Egyptian born Muslim and a new “revert” from ahlul Sunnah to the Ahlul Bayt school of thought. I was wondering if anyone had any good book recommendations about Islamic history and good source books. Growing up Islamic history wasn’t emphasised so I’m kinda a newbie to in depth context and sources sourrounding the context of when surahs/ ayas were revealed, I.e Surah al Tawbah, or hadiths/ history surrounding the martyrdom of Hussain as. I don’t know if this is related but also if anyone has any recommendations for mosques in London and also mosques that possibly offer lessons that would be great too. Jazak’Allah everyone.

Assalam alaikum all, just to let those of you in the U.K know that the Arbaeen walk in London has been announced on Facebook. I would like to go to an Arbaeen walk myself, but don't think I would be able to attend this one, so I shall sit it out and wait until the 10th Day organise a date in Manchester. Still... Thought I'd pass it on incase you we're not aware.

Asalamu alaykum, Eid Mubarak. Could you please let me know which Shia centres will be performing Eid Prayers tomorrow in London (including Hillingdon)? If you also know what time the prayers are, and the postcode, that would be helpful. I know the Hujjat centre are. But I am coming from outside London and their centre is a bit far to get to. Thanks very much.

London council removes 'unacceptable' Stamford Hill posters telling women which side of the road to walk down A London council has removed “unacceptable” posters instructing women which side of the road they should walk down. The signs, which have "Women should please walk along this side of the road only" written in both Hebrew and English, were spotted along Stamford Hill in Hackney. The Shomrim group, whose Jewish volunteers support policing in the area, said they were put up by an orthodox Jewish group during the Torah Procession earlier this week, in order to prevent men and women from the religious sect who are not married or related from touching. Chaim Hochhauser, from the Stamford Hill Shomrim group, said it had contacted the organisers to inform them the posters "lacked explanation". He told the Hackney Gazette the request was intended for people from the the Orthodox Jewish community who were attending the street event. Mr Hochhauser said: “Shomrim have since contacted the event organisers, and explained that these posters lacked explanation in the English text, and therefore could have offended people who don’t understand the Hebrew wording and the logo.” Stamford Hill is home to over 20,000 Haredi Jews, the third largest group. Rosemary Sales, a councillor for Stamford Hill West, described the posters as “unacceptable” and said they had been taken down. "Several residents in my ward in Stamford Hill have drawn these posters to my attention,” she told the Evening Standard. "It is of course quite unacceptable to try to restrict women's movements in a public place and council officers removed these posters as soon as it was reported to them." Hackney Police Superintendent Andy Walker said he had spoken to the organisers about the “potential misinterpretation” of the signs. A spokesperson for Hackney Council told The Independent the posters were removed after they were raised by the ward councillor. http://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/home-news/london-council-removes-unacceptable-stamford-hill-posters-telling-women-which-side-of-the-road-to-walk-down-9746012.html A superintendent from Hackney police said the organisers had agreed to display Hebrew-only posters next year, and remove them more quickly after the event. http://www.thejc.com/news/uk-news/123064/london-council-removes-posters-stamford-hill-telling-women-where-walk

Salam, I have taken an interest in the Shia way of Islam and learning about it has brought back my faith (I come from a Sunni background). However, in the process I feel a bit lost and don't know where to turn, it would be nice to meet some sisters so I have some guidance on some of my questions. I have gone to some gatherings but they are mainly in Farsi, and I feel very left out attending! Are there any other sisters in London facing the same thing? Thank you

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-31647271 Fascinating stuff. Wonder how much of it is true. Could the British intelligence have pushed him on to this course? Like all other high profile extremists MI5, 6, 7 - whatever - wanted Jihadi John to work "for us". It doesn't say what he had done originally, to have gone on the agencies' radar? And secondly, when he was barred from leaving Britain multiple times, how then, of a sudden, he managed to flee the country, without anyone knowing, and how it were intelligence guys who broke the news to his family of his eventual travel to Syria?

So basically I will be going to London for Uni. My parents have put forward a condition (which I accepted) where I go to the Hawza part time. I want to know what the Hawza Ilmiyya of London is like and how the part time course works? How will it fit in with my university? What is taught there? How many times a week do I have to go? When can I quit my part time course? Also just in general tell me about London. Are there any Imam Bargahs in central London? What are the people like? Will I fit in in university?

Sallam Brothers In London there are free legal advice centres called law clinics. I personally work in the University of East London law clinic. If you need legal advice come visit us, it is all free. All the advice given to clients are also checked by qualified solicitors so that it is not misleading. It is all free, we even give you cookies and juice if you come. the UEL one isn't the only one in UK though, there are many other ones spread over London and the UK so please check where the closest one to you is.

I was wondering if I am allowed to buy a sheep and keep it in my garden until I slaughter it in the UK. Am I legally allowed to keep a sheep and then slaughter it? I want a sheep cuz it will trim the grass and produce meat, would be fun to have one. I like goats better but they don't exist in Britian.
