Assalamu Alaykum I have verified my lineage up until 7 generations past Ali al-Naqi, with a gap of ~7 generations from one of my ancestors Husameddine Muhammad (mentioned in manuscripts from Abbasid times as “migrating from Samarrah to Medina”) upto Yahya bin Isa bin Ali al-Taqi bin Muhammad bin Hasan al-Khalis bin Ja’far bin Ali al-Naqi. I used the lineage (image 2) documented by Sayyid Mohammad al-Gharbani in his book Al-Asjad Al-Manzoum with the seal of authenticity from Imam al-Mutawakkil ‘ala-Allah Yahya, king of the Mutawakkilite Kingdom of Yemen amongst other Sheikhs, recorded as such: ”Sayyid Mohammad bin Sayyid Hussein bin Sayyid Ali bin Sayyid Al-Motaher bin Sayyid Abdullah bin Sayyid Ayoub bin Sayyid Mohammad bin Sayyid Al-Qassim bin Sayyid Ahmad bin Sayyid Ali” And this can be connected to Yahya bin Isa in two ways, depending on who you identify Ahmad’s father as. Either “Ahmad bin Yahya bin Isa bin Ali al-Taqi bin Mohammad bin Hasan al-Khalis bin Ja’far bin Ali al-Naqi” if Ahmad was the son of Yahya. This was the conclusion of Dr. Ayman M. Zaghrout in the Council of Arab Genealogists forum. Or “Ahmad bin Ali bin Musa al-Ashhab bin Yahya bin Isa bin Ali al-Taqi bin Mohammad bin Hasan al-Khalis bin Ja’far bin Ali al-Naqi“ if you consider Ahmad as the son of Ali bin Musa bin Yahya (you identify Ali, father of Ahmad, as Ali bin Musa al-Ashhab). This one is supported by Mushajjar al-Wafi’, and partially supported by Al-Asjad Al-Manzoum, however Musa is skipped over. So the question is, which of these two is the correct one? Do you have a book which mentions the children of Yahya, or a book which mentions the children of Ali bin Musa, so that it is known that Ahmad was his son? At the least, do you have a book which mentions the children of Ja’far bin Ali al-Naqi? Jazakallahu Khayran, and may Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى) forgive you and grant you Jannat al-Firdaws

Salaam everyone, I uh have been trying to reconcile something. If Adnan was the ancestor of the Quraysh and the Prophet SAW, and he existed sometime 562 BC, after Nebuchadnezzar II took out the Qedar (tribe of Ishmael pbuh, and ancestor to Quraysh purportedl) Kingdom.... and the Prophet SAW himself was born in 570 AD... This would mean there's roughly 1100+ years between them. And the Prophet SAW says his descendants are 20/21 men before from himself, all the way to Adnan. So.. There's a small contention here. This would mean on the AVERAGE age of each and every one of the prophet's forefathers at conception of the next descendant, would be 54 years old......... I'm sure some of you already realize that this is problematic. Most people have kids between the ages 20 - 30 years old. Especially in ancient culture/traditions, wives may have had kids as soon as they hit 17/18 or even younger. The Prophet SAW himself had his first child in his 30's. This is really hard to reconcile as plausible guys. It seems highly unlikely that this claim is true. Unless the first 10 or so ancestors had their patrilineal main guy at 60/70 years old, then the last 10 guys had their kids at 30/40 years old.... This wouldn't make too much sense (even that example is highly dubious). The average survival age for males back then... as you all may already know.. was 50's, 60's if one was lucky. Logically, it makes sense why culturally we have kids from a very young age: Because they didn't live too long during those times. Can anyone provide or offer some insight who is knowledgeable on the subject of the Lineages and Pre-Islamic Arabia?

Salaamu'Alaikum Brothers and Sisters, My question is: Is there a record of the surviving lineage of Yazid (Lanti)? If so, does anyone have information of where they are, what they're called. For example, Syed have that tile. Do they also (though I imagine that's not something people would necessariy want to flaunt). Thanks!
