Brothers and sisters, I need a serious answer. Is cursing (sending L'anah) openly haram? No? Which hadiths support this vision? Note: I'm asking about l'anah, not insulting.

Bismillah ir Arahman ir Rahim Salamu Alaikum! ***Note: I'm still very new to Ahlul Bayt*** So I have been seeing issues of cursing the cursed ones and seeing it crossover with unity and tolerance. I know it seems weird. I have come across two main ideas about this: 1. Some, like Sheikh Yassir al-Habib - I hope I wrote his name correctly. But some like him point out how in the Qu'ran other Prophets of Allah were tested with disbelieving wives, traitors, hypocrites, etc. And sees no reason to not curse and insult openly. 2. Another line of thinking I have found is more like Dr. Syad Ammar Nakshawani (not sure if I wrote that right either). His line and others more like him, is not betray your beliefs, but to still be respectful and tolerant of others. That extra care like this helps with unity and to not be the cause of Shi'a deaths all over the world. I am still so new to this so its a bit overwhelming and incredibly confusing me, lols. I am curious about others' opinions on this. Shukran.

Assalamu alaikum Some say that the fatwa was led without the permission of Ayatollah Sayed Ali Sistani (ha) and then removed after finding it out. Where can I find the fatwa again in order to see if it's still there?

As-Salaam Alaykum, I have recently read an article on the website of Ayatollah Khamenei (khamenei.it) wherein he has stated that 'It's not allowed to insult the Sunni.' I have always been an advocate for taqleed and Marja's, but it's this type of opinion that disenchants & turns our very own youth against the principles of Taqlid. On the face, it seems very broad however after studying the article it's clear that it's aimed at preventing the lanat as it's deemed as 'insulting' to the Sunni Muslims. Furthermore, after having read the mentioned article it's very unclear whether the Muqallideen of Khamenei in the west are now even permitted to recite many duas & Ziyaraats such as Waritha, Ashura, Arbaeen etc as they all contain curses that will most certainly 'upset' Sunni brethren. It doesn't help the cause when our own scholars are repelling the same people that they should be attracting. It's clear from authentic historical sources that Lady Fatima s.a. cursed the first two usurpers after every Salat. Three Imams a.s. were present & none of them a.s. admonished Her s.a., therefore it's considered sunna. In addition, She s.a. prohibited the two from attending Her s.a. funeral & stated very clearly to them that She s.a. would complain to Rasoolullah saww regarding her treatment at their hands. So should we disregard all this just for the fear that our fellow brethren may be insulted? Please would someone kindly please explain this. Jazakallah Khair.

(bismillah) (salam) Okay, so to get this straight, betting on horse racing is allowed as long as you are not a random onlooker or an owner of the horse. Wat? Who else is even involved? I live near a horse racing track and betting goes on quite frequently. The owners of the horses and the onlookers bet on who will win. Who is betting if it's not onlookers or owners? Why is it halal for them but not for the rest of us? (wasalam)

We are looking forward to shower infinite lanats on the enemies of Ahlebait ( as ) on the occasion of Eid-e-Zehra (s.a) (whose significance is well known by both shias and sunnis). In order to highlight the significance of lanat in Islam, please have a look at the new android app 'Lanat (Curse)' on Playstore. It is just 1.2MB but covers almost all kinds of misconceptions about lanat and its significance in islam. https://play.google....om.lanatinislam Share with all the lovers of Ahlebait ( as ). Eid-e-Zehra(s.a.) Mubarak to all!!

Asslam Alaikum, I have seen people hit the back of their right hand to the palm of their left hand during the la'nat subsection of Ziyarat Ashura. I was wondering if anyone knew the tradition behind this and what its significant is. Jazakum Allahu Khaira

(bismillah) Ya Ali Madad La'nat on the enemies of Ahlulbait Rahbar Faqat Khameneist Salamun Alaykum. I will make a (hopefully) quick rant here. My goal is to awaken a few brothers and sisters who have fallen into a serious trap. What is up with you oh brothers and sisters?! Do you know what happened to our Ahlulbait? Do you know how much of torture and pain they suffered?! All for what? So we can simply laugh and curse at their enemies and make jokes about them?! Suppose someone kills you father, are you going to laugh and curse and make jokes about your father's killer?! NO! You will feel the sorrow and the pain and every time you remember your father's killer you will weep! Why don't we treat the Ahlulbait the way we treat our own family members? Don't they have higher authority over us then we have over ourselves? HOW DARE we make jokes about the KILLERS of our Ahlulbait and laugh as if nothing happened?! DID THE AHLULBAIT SUFFER FOR NOTHING?! NO INDEED!! They were tortured, suffered, and murdered ALL in the name of saving Islam. When we turn around and start using foul languages and cursing their enemies by using the worst language possible, do you think the Ahlulbait are happy with us? Is this truly the love we show to our Ahlulbait, by using disgusting language to refer to their killers?! It is very shocking when I hear a few people going so far into saying the F words when referring to the enemies of Ahlulbait! DO YOU KNOW WHAT LA'NAT IS?! It is a dua which asks god to remove his mercy from the killers of Ahlulbait! THERE IS NO HADITHS WHICH THE AHLULBAIT ASK US TO CURSE, MOCK, AND LAUGH AT THEIR ENEMIES! WHY DO WE DO THAT?! IF we truly want to follow the Ahlulbait, and if we truly hate their enemies, we should show our love to the Ahlulbait by using them as guides. We need to follow them as role models... Simply hating their enemies and loving them for the sake of it won't get us ANYWHERE. The kulafa and the oppressors of ahlulbait also claimed to love them!! Please remember this in our gatherings and special occasions, especially in Eid-e-zahra. It is unfortunate that people laugh with one another calling names [to the 3 people] without realizing how much destruction these people did to Islam. If anything, we should MOURN when we remember them! La'nat is something serious, its worst than simply cursing people!
