Those who deny the hadith of the prophet saww are called hadith rejectors . They consider normally quran sufficient alone to follow for the religion without recognizing the need to follow the sunna ie sayings or actions of the prophet saww. What the other Muslims brothers consider these hadith rejectors? A muslim, hypocrite, kafir, or mis-guided etc? (Whatever is you opinion ,the evidence of it from quran or hadith may be mentioned too for information /discussion, please). Wasalam

As salamu aleikoum, I am just wondering : what if, let's say, you go to the gym and your hands are sweating while you exercise. Since you touch many things with your slightly wet hands, including handles of weight machines used by other people, will the potential najasat be transfered to you ? Of course, we don't know what the faith of people using the machines is. They may be kafir but they may also be ahlul kitab or muslims. But, since I live in an European country, kafirs are not as uncommon and there is a quite high probability that a kafir touched the handles with his wet hands. I would say that there is a probability of at least 90 %, especially since it is unsure whether the machines are cleaned after each day or not. There may be najasat from 2 years ago haha ! Washing hands afterwards is quite easy but if you then touch your hair for example, then you maybe have to wash your hair. And that is quite annoying. Thus, the question is : if you are unsure that a kafir touched something with his wet hands but that there is a high probability that he did, and that you touch the same object with your wet hand, do you have to consider your hand najis ? It's just a question that arose today, while I was at the gym, but I think that knowing the answer could be useful for a lot of other situations.

Read the Reddit comments to understand what the thread was about, since the post has since been deleted. ....................................................................................... I'm so tired of the utterly nonsensical and VERY COMMON Sunni notion of 'I am happy to seek unity with Shias as long as they don't curse/insult/abuse any Sahaba, and especially NOT Aisha, Abu Bakr, Omar, Uthman. Firstly, any Shia claim regarding the sahabi that happens to go against the Sunni narrative is considered insulting. Secondly, and more importantly, is that the same notion is true for Shias... You are insulting the Ahlul Bayt by not accepting them as divinely appointed leaders of Allah, and infallible individuals, and perfect preservers of the religion of Islam, and a high means of seeking closeness to Allah (intercession). Not only are you insulting revered Shia figures by not following them, you are commiting MAJOR shirk by giving a false attribute to Allah, by saying that Allah has not always appointed an infallible leader on this Earth, and that there currently isn't an infallible leader. Furthermore, the real kicker is that plenty of revered Shia figures, such as Abu Talib (رضي الله عنه), are considered kuffar by Sunnis. Is this not insulting? So, how can we Shias unite with Sunnis based on their own fallacious logic? Shias are the minority, and Sunnis are the majority. It makes Sunnis think that they are Orthodox and that they have to unite with Heterodox for political and humanitarian reasons, and that Shias must make [ridiculous] compromises. Shias are far more receptive to the unity message, because we actually understand Sunni Islam, and can see the commonalities. We understand that we can't make Sunnis compromise on their beliefs. Simply by being the minority within Islam, by nature we Shias already understand Sunni beliefs, whereas Sunnis have a basic strawman understanding of Shia beliefs... which is natural, considering that they are the majority. Anyways, the point of my post is the following: Let's compile a list of revered Shia figures that are not given their proper status by Sunnis, according to Shia Islam... with an explanation given. ...This is to show that we Shias and Sunnis can unite, but we cannot unite upon revered figures and imamah. ...This will also serve as a way of showing Sunnis that this argument of theirs makes no sense. Another important question we may ask is "What about commonly revered figures like Imam Ali (عليه السلام) who is given different status in both sects? Can we unite upon Imam Ali (عليه السلام)?" ...a common Sunni criticism of political unity is that "Ali ibn Abi Talib (رضي الله عنه) is given an improper status in Shia religion because they call upon him... tawassul (intercession) of the 'dead' is Shirk! So there is absolutely no room for unity since we can't even agree on the status of the sahabi" [yes, I am aware that the Imams (عليه السلام) are still alive, but Sunnis don't believe this...] I would love to hear your thoughts. Wassalam. JazakAllah Khair. Fi sabilillah.

I know in shia islam its a sin to persecute some one and shia islam is against any kind of injustice or oppression. Would this count? I get picked on and singled, my town hates me(I don't have the means to move!), they wont let me get a job! They lied to my face saying they were gonna give me a job and I haven't heard from them since! Is their a shia organization to help? im in the USA.

Asalamu alaikum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatu, Like many others here, I was born into a muslim family in a western country, however, in my teenage years I rebelled against islam and started taking into account different ideologies about life and what happens after we die such as studying buddhism and etc. I stopped praying and fasting and remembering Allah سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى and started to commit every major sin you can think of, I basically became a kafir (Istaghfarullah). As an 18 year old adult now, I am back into islam and my deen and taqwa has been the strongest in my life and it is growing stronger everyday. I have been praying all my voluntary prayers associated with the obligatory prayers and have been avoiding sin as best as I can, alhamdulillah. My question is, will all the sins I have committed in that period of from the age of 11-18 be wiped off as a clean slate? I am worried about this and I feel as if I should be praying Salat al-tawba on every sin I have committed in my life starting from puberty, which are too much to count, and remember. Jazakallah khair!

Assalam O Alaikum, Wa Rehmatullah, Wa Barakatuhu. Respect the difference of opinion if there is no clear indication of shirk or kufr in it.

AssalamualaykumI read a while back that a kafir is someone who covers the truth and doesnt believe in the main principles of Islam. I have people i know who do not pray and drink alcohol but believe in Allah and Prophet Muhammed s.a.w as his messenger. The same applies to someone i know who doesnt think that non muslims are disbelievers, or infact thinks they are not najis. But this person prays every day.I know not praying put of laziness is an act of kufr. I just read that calling a muslim a kafir can in turn make you a kafir as only Allah can judge this. I am now worried that these thoights have made me a kafor and that all the shoes and clothes i wore have to be washed in case i touched them when wet or sweaty. Am i a kafir and are they as well? Please help me im very confused. Jazakallah

Salam Alaikom Am aware and heard names such as: mottaqi, momin, muslims, moztazafin, kafir, hypocrite, unjust, referring to people or group of people, they are synonym to each other and also opposite of it exist, so all of it is called/named generally what! What is a 'group name'; for example can we say, it is characteristics of the group or individual, or 'kinds of people' or certain level of people! WHAT IS A PROPER WORDING FOR ALL OF IT? And also any important group missing that i have not mentioned! Or maybe we can call it horizontal spectrum/ spectrum of 'what'-level of people, kind of people -. A name that can describe it and also other synonyms. Extra aref, aqil and so on. What more synonym is out there? Please let us know. What is the definition of each word? What is called or what we should call it altogether? What is the proper naming! The Host welcomes all to participate and hope all guests benefit from this topic.

Not a day goes by that I hear some annoying rhetoric from non-muslims that islam is violent towards non-believers. "Islam is a violent religion", "Islam is a mad war religion" they say. So now i bring to you the Ultimate surah that teaches Muslims how to conduct with Non- believers. Surah al-Kafirun(The Disbelievers) Bismillah-ir-Rahman-ir-Rahim 1. Say(O Muhammad(S) to these Mushrikun and Kafirun): "O al-Kafirun! 2. I worship not that which you worship, 3. Nor will you worship that which I worship, 4. And I shall not worship that which you are worshipping, 5. Nor will you worship that which I worship. 6. To you be your religion, and to me my religion." .......and checkmate. Now all we have to do is to wait for Isis' demise and for the ummah to unite. No pressure. Looking on the bright side, the oil of Yehudi Arabia will dry up in 2030. Thus their ability to spread terrorism will decrease.

(bismillah) (salam) I am aware that it is a general belief that Hindus are kafir. But are they? Because in their religion there is also a concept of monotheism. they(a larger part of them) believe that there is only one creator of the world ishwara/brahma/vishnu/parmeshwara but sometimes god manifests himself in physical forms on earth and they are called avatars or bhagwans .This is shirk, but does shirk makes someone kafir? if yes then since Christians believe in trinity , are they kafir too? what actually makes someone kafir? what is the defination of kafir? Thanks in advance for those who are willing to help.

I came across a post in a closed forum on FaceBook. In this post, Sunni Muslims were cursing Shias. I responded by defending the persons (all Shias) being cursed as it is wrong to curse others based on their beleifs. I became Muslim at age 17 and have yet to meet a Shia Muslim that treated me with disrespect and therefore I felt that I had to step in. I was then accused of being a kaafir myself as I am defending (kaafirs, i.e. Shias). Even though I am not a Shia or Sunni Muslim, I would like to find answers to the below that was posted as a response to my actions of defending Shias. I realize that I could probably do my own research however, as there are a number of rather uneducated bloggers and posters out there, I am afraid to say that it would take much of my time. If I could grab some books and do further research, I would have done that as well however, being totally blind, I have limited access to decent reading material in Braille. If someone could kindly respond to the below response that I have received, or at least direct me to some meaningful material, I will highly appreciate it. Shukran in advance for your consideration. ******** PROOF ( SHIA ARE KAFIR ) TERRIFYING BELIEFS OF SHI'ITES:- November 28, 2010 at 7:37am TERRIFYING BELIEFS OF SHI'ITES:- Allaah often lies and does mistakes. Question: Can a Muslim marry a non-Muslim in any circumstances? Answer: The legal rulings aside, the purpose of marriage is to get closer to Allah. Therefore, we should try to find a spouse who is religious and who will lead us closer to Him, not one who will bring us further away. Therefore, even IF permissible, one should not marry a non-Muslim. Sayyid Sistani... Full Answer: http://www.14publications.com/question-and-answer/can-i-marry-a-non-muslim/

Dear Brothers and Sisters of Shi'ane Ali, During my free time i watch a lot of islamic videos online and on nearly all of them is a comment from someone who is trying to dishonor our faith or prove we are not muslims. I make it a goal to reply and correct all of their misconceptions but I only know so much and have so much time. Therefore I am creating this thread so we can all work collectively to end jihalat and hopefully attract converts. SO, every time there is is a claim/comment/misconception online from an anti-shia I will both post the link and comment here and refer people to this thread. We can then go to the comment and reply/correct the user and clear his/her misconception(i'A) AND/OR reply to the comment and link on here. This way we will essentially gather an encyclopedia defending shia beleifs based on our combined knowledge which we can refer to more and more people both Online in comments/forums AND to people we encounter in our daily lives.
