As Salamu Alaykum guys, I've been thinking about this recently and wonder what you guys think. In my heart I always have hope but these doubts have also creeped in throughout the years. I feel like I should be spending my time more towards becoming a better Muslim to prepare for the Day of Judgement, than I should be for the possibility of living during the Imam's(عليه السلام) return. In a way I'm kind of resigning this hope that I can live long enough to see this event, and feel like I should be influencing the next generation to, InshaAllah, be amongst his (عليه السلام) supporters instead and at the same time better myself in preparation for Qiyamah. Honestly, as Shia I feel like we seem to forget that the return of Imam al Mahdi (عليه السلام) is a sign for Qiyamah, which is surely the greater future event. I wonder if anyone has a perspective on this. Also, I'm not looking to debate etc., just sharing some thoughts and fishing for opinions InshaAllah.

Recently after large amounts of rainfall, the land of Mekkah in Saudi Arabia is turning green, and the following Hadith in sahih Bukhari speaks of such an occurrence as a sign of the end. Do we have such a Hadith in shia books? Thanks. Abu Huraira reported Allah's Messenger saying: The Last Hour will not come before wealth becomes abundant and overflowing, so much so that a man takes Zakat out of his property and cannot find anyone to accept it from him and **till the land of Arabia reverts to meadows and rivers.** [Sahih Muslim 157c]

Warm greetings! I have pondered the question, How does Jesus save us? I believe His death on the cross paid the penalty for my sins, which cancelled my debt to God, makes me forgiven, sets me free. But there is more. He said of Himself... "I have come into the world as light, so that whoever believes in me may not remain in darkness. If anyone hears my words and does not keep them, I do not judge him; for I did not come to judge the world but to save the world. The one who rejects me and does not receive my words has a judge; the word that I have spoken will judge him on the last day. For I have not spoken on my own authority, but the Father who sent me has himself given me a commandment-what to say and what to speak. And I know that his commandment is eternal life. What I say, therefore, I say as the Father has told me." - John 12:46-50 Peace and blessings!
