Hi I am a shia convert Alhamdulilah since the past 4 years and honestly it has been incredible at the same time it has been difficult aswell. I just wanted to know why is it so diffcult for shia community to take a revert and make him/her a part of their family and even takes them time to make him/her a part of their community. Especially seeing that a convert already faces the bigger challenge of going against their parents and entire family to believe but these difficulties I would suppose would dishearten several individual who would like to convert. Any comments on this?

If it is past experiences that shape a person, (and those past experiences or things that happen to him, he would not be able to control, i would say that God controls what happens to a person) then if it is past experiences that make someone bad, then are his bad actions blameworthy? EDIT: i meant to say would it be his fault

A wahabi used this verse in the quran to prove that we will see Allah(swt). How would a shia refute this “Some faces that Day shall be Naadirah (shining and radiant). Looking at their Lord (Allaah)” [al-Qiyaamah :22-23]

The thread starter's post has been removed due to a request by them. Their question has been quoted just below: An atheist who knowingly rejects the truth can't be that good because: 1, They have been ungrateful to their creator and the creator of every other good thing. The source of all good. Even the atheist's ability to be good is from God. 2, Humans have been inherently designed to work better when they believe. A lack of belief causes humans to malfunction. Read: http://www.shiachat.com/forum/topic/235010653-religious-ideas-make-atheists-into-better-people/ If an atheist rejects God knowing the above evidence, then they are committing an action which makes them more susceptible to doing wrong. Such a decision is immoral. 3, Belief brings peace to people. An atheist is being immoral by making people disbelieve in a caring God and an afterlife. Consider that belief is strongly hard wired in the fitra; thus it takes a lot to disbelieve.

Sallam, I work at a big American Company, I am not a cashier, but when needed I do cashier. The main income of this place is grocery, which means people buy a lot of non-halal meat, and very rarely but occasional Alcohol. As a cashier scanning these item, what is the hokum on my part? Does it count as if I am selling it? Does that make the income I make haram? What should I do ( I am seeking a new job, but nothing yet) We did have to sign a contract about this too. Stating "we would complete transaction with alcohol beverages or meat." I for sure don't want to make haram money.
