Selamun aleykum wa rahmetullah, Inflammatory question, I know, and I apologize beforehand. I'm interested in knowing which recent Maraji have considered face-veiling obligatory, have tried to spread the practice, or have looked at it at least favorably. To my knowledge, it's well-established that Borujerdi historically considered it Wajib, and that Bashir Husayn al-Najafi and Jamil Hammoud al-Amili consider it to be Wajib contemporaneously. Are any figures besides these known to have held similar opinions? Their students maybe? Thanks in advance, Jezakum allah khayran.

(salam) I was woundering that how come the quran comands women in surah Al Ahzab verse 59 to wear Jilbab, but the ma'rij say it is nlt mandatory. I understand that a long dress can subsitute it. From my understand women can not dress in pants infront of non-mahram men. Is this true? Also, does your body type effect how much you should cover, or the type of clothing you should wear? :wacko:

asalaamu alaikum sisters, I wanted to share with you all that my families new store AllZons is carrying French/Algerian overhead jilbabs and khimaars. These are very comfortable and will cover the chin and sides of the cheeks very well, they are literally pop on and go. We are also carrying plain quality abayaat in colors and nursing abayaat with a hidden zipper over the chest area. Do take a peep...en'shallah
