I hope the person reading this is well, Insha'Allah. After getting into bad company and facing subsequent losses, I thought about one thing. Many people often quote the Hadith where the Mercy for All Worlds (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) says that Heaven is at the feet of mothers. Surely, this also means that if person A harms person B, such that person B's mother is hurt, even so far that person B's mother cries, especially if Person B is a victim of your Zulm, then despite Person A being good with their mother, Person A has done Zulm on Person B's mother. Due to obvious motherly lo
So now, from my understanding no one knows what their end game is, in the sense of heaven and hell. In islam at least. But this keeps getting challenged. For instance, I was reading an obituary from a gentleman of christian faith the other day and came across a line that I always seem to come across that goes a little like "Mr ____ was a very loved father, grandfather, and husband who is now in heaven". Every obituary I read is just like BOOM insta-heavan. This is not limited to Christianity, even in my own family, I've seen it. I recently had a family member pass away and her mother was sayin
Assalamualaikum everyone, This is my first post on Shiachat so lets see how it goes. Today I spoke to two friends about Islam again. They are both agnostic, one used to be a practising Christian, the other a Buddhist. We talked about religions and Islam and none of us seem to see eye to eye about most of it. My knowledge is limited but I would like to learn more too about this, as its quite a relevant topic for non-muslims. Personally, I would like to beli
This is a sensitive question. After a non-Muslim converts to Islam and his/her relatives end up not converting before their deaths, what follows according to Islamic teachings? Will his/her parents go to Hell for not being Muslim, while he/she goes to Paradise (if he/she would turn out to be a good Muslim, of course)? Or, will his/her relatives be saved from Hell thanks to him/her choosing for Islam (I remember someone telling me something like this)? It's such a horrible thought that the parents of a converted Muslim cannot join their child in the afterlife.
(Note to moderators, i couldn't think of the *best* place to put this thread. If you see a better place, please do move it to there, i have no objection to such a thing.) I'll start this off with a little introduction, sorry to lengthen it but i feel it is important to the post. Please do read on, i'm sure you'll find it interesting. Lets begin. I was going for my evening run, as i usually do but tonight i heard something that wasn't usual. I heard a man screaming, a woman screaming and i saw the man throwing around things. My first instinct of course would of been to call the police but i was
