Salaam all, I haven't traded in over a year, as I do it in summer. I will start again insha'allah in June or at latest July I mostly scalped or day traded back then never holding a stock for long (except once and it bought me a 50% profit margin sooo). However, I used Etoro, which wasn't bad per se wasn't amazing either anyone know any other good UK stock brokers that DON'T ideally need me to send them my passport cuz like bruh. and their min deposit isn't insanely high so less than 100 or even 50 quid or less would be preffered. + Anyone got good trading tips? I liked scalping cuz of the short term gains but twas very stressful I have heard u shouldn't combine scalping/day with swing trading (keeping the stock for longer ) idk why was never given a reason? surely this is counterintutive? I mean wouldn't it diversify risk more to do the opposite?? Im looking for more secure investments AT the same time tho will still be doing day trading too any tips advice indicators etc lemme know not tryna make sum career lol just a few bucks on the side during summer. maybe like a couple hundered at MOST I'd be more than satisfied. oh and btw ive only traded stocks before but wanna diversify portfolios now to reduce risk. Any tips? Im thinking maybe futures, etfs, or forex. Maybe gold and stuff but idk how or where to do that? Salaam Alaikum! This is my first post here! How is everyone ??? I am writing here today just to get some advice as someone living in the UK and soon to undertake GCSE then go to college Insha'Allah what advice to anyone working in finance have for me to progres in the field? I am hoping to work in Investment Banking either in mergers and acquistions or Sales and trading Insha'Allah I don't have much experience besides some daytrading I did a while back? What tips you have for an aspring invesment banker? Hopefully I can work in Goldman Sachs or JP one day Insha' Allah ? (as for college i will be attending UK college but after college for UNI i'm unsure whether I wish to attend British or hopefully US Universities for better grad opportunities but I'm unsure how to go about going uni there!) Salam Everyone While this has been asked before, atleast partially, I still think the issue remains hazy.. So here goes (these are all related questions, I just put them all here so that we have a discussion framework) 1) Is stock investment allowed? (Not rampant trading where speculation rules, but sober investment in shares for the sake of dividends as a side income, with only occasional trading) 2) If investing in certain companies is not allowed (e.g. those partaking in alcohol/gambling/ etc) then does this automatically rule out Index Funds, since they can basically invest anywhere? (maybe they dont, I am not sure, but thats how I understand they work- by diversifying the investment to minimize risk) 3) What about bonds? Some say they are better because they don't have the speculative part; others say they are worse because they are interest-based 4) What about cryptocurrency? I feel its problematic since its highly speculative (one Musk tweet and it plummets :p) Also, is there any book which details all of these issues and also recommends the best mode for investing Islamically? (Maybe on al-islam.org for example) Thank you all

Peace be with you. I've never really understood the business and economy behind investing. Could someone with (advanced) knowledge or rather experience about this, explain it to me? What does the sharia' say about investing in companies and having shares etc. What do the maraji' say? Is this something that is halal or haram? Jazakallah khair. (I have heard incoherent answers that's why i'm hoping someone would clarify this)

Assalam o alaikum! Many of my friends are investing on FX service platform. I am sure, your friends' circle may have some people investing on it too. I want to know if such profit is halal or not.

Is anyone else investing in silver (or other precious metals)? I *just* purchased my very first piece. It is an American Silver Eagle. 1 troy ounce. I bought it from a local coin shoppe. They charged $5 over spot, which came to a total of $35.72 USD. I think the premium is a little high, but I was so excited to have the silver to worry about it. In the future I'll probably buy online. My goal for now is one troy ounce per month, although that may be difficult. I don't know. But I'm really happy right now. I got a 2011 coin, which is a little disappointing. I didn't think to look at the dates when he gave me the bucket to go through. I just picked a shiny one :P I was hoping to get a 2012 coin for my very first one, just to symbolize my commitment. Oh well, it's not like it matters :P The shop keeper was really nice. He gave me some pointers on collecting and told me to keep an eye out for certain years because they are much more valuable (not because of silver content - they're all the same, but because of rarity). If I found one, I would honestly probably just sell it to buy more silver, just because I am only interested in having a stock of silver - I don't care about rare coins. So what about other people? Do any of you buy silver? Got any tips for keeping it? How do you store it? I LOVE MY SILVER EAGLE. :P
