Salaams, my life goal since I was a child is to become part of the 313. I have heard that they fast a lot, (almost everyday) and pray during the night. I am trying to build up my spiritual connection with God almighty. And considering it is now winter and short days, I figured now would be a good time to start fasting everyday. I am in my youth, so that makes it even better. But I got two questions now: 1. Is it okay or is it Makruh to have Suhoor just before you go to bed after Maghrib, Isha and Iftar. (Usually go to bed by 9pm to 10pm). Or is it recommended/mustahab to wake up early in the morning before Fajr and have Suhoor at that time. 2. I am trying to gain weight and muscle, due to me being very skinny (45KG) and I am following this routine called the "Hybrid Calisthenics Routine 2.0" (you can search it up if you want it's pretty good). I am devoted to being part of the 313 but the whole fasting thing I am afraid may contradict with my goal to gain weight. What should I do in this situation? Is it possible that I could still gain weight with what I eat at Suhoor and Iftar.

Salaam alaikoum, Does anyone know which supplication this is: One of the most important etiquette and instruction is the recital of Surah al-Qadr (Power) before taking Suhur and iftar as well as recital of illustrious and illuminated supplication: “Allahuma rabb al-nur al-'adheem” (Allah is the possessor of great illumination) which has been given book of Iqbal written by the most esteemed and famous scholar Sayyid ibn Tawus. About this supplication it has been narrated from Imam al-Sadiq [a] that the Holy Prophet has recommended recital of this prayer to Commander of the Faithful Imam 'Ali [a] and said that Archangel Gabriel came to me and said: “Whoever in the Holy Month of Ramadhan before iftar recites this prayer, Allah answers his prayer, accepts his prayer and fasting, grants his ten requirements, forgives his sins, removes his grief, makes his heart at ease, grants his wishes, makes his deeds to ascend upward with the deeds of Prophets and righteous saints, and on the Day of Judgement brings him to His presence with a face illuminated like bright moon.”

I changed from Sunni to Shia a few months ago. I understand that the exact moment of sunset is not the right time for maghrib and iftar as I think it is that the the orb of light of the sun also needs to go down. I have been adding ten minutes to sunset for maghrib up to this point but I would like to be more precise for iftar. I do not have a local Shia centre as I live in Belfast, Northern Ireland. Also I don't know anywhere I can see the sun set without buildings being in the way. Thanks, for your help.

Actually the issue is not consensual between shia's scholars. there are some Maraje that believe you can do iftar at sunset like Sunnis and one of that Maraje was Ayatoallah Bahjat. in the other side we have the majority of Shia scholars that say the iftar time is about fifteen minutes later or Maghreb. Ayatoallah Sistani and Khamenei. so it depend on who are you following in the Maraje.
