Salam, ..."Researchers in the study said that on average there are 105 males born for every 100 females, but among Indian-born mothers having a second child, the ratio was 111 males to 100 females, and it jumped to 136 males to 100 females for the third child. While researchers found that the male to female ratio of children born to women who had more than one child was significantly higher among those from India, immigrants from South and East Asia in general were more likely than their Canadian-born counterparts to give birth to a male infant."..... So what is your opinion on how certain communities have 'taboot' during the month of Moharram. Such as Alams (which is fine)... But then theres a line of kids carrying, pistachio nuts, almonds, fruits, candles, and laddoos.....?? And the crowd comes rushing to pay respects to them? I have nothing against having Alams/Flags, but what about the rest. Is this islamic or is this culture and pride which exceeds the basic islamic principles? Discuss... :)

I was wondering what it means and, so, would be very grateful if he could any other adherent of Sanatana Dharma (Hinduism) could answer me about that. I have seen on the internet some Hindus who reject the whole notion of idols - or, atleast, this is what I have understood which MAY BE WRONG. Can you shed some light as to whether such people exist in Sanata
