My family is strictly against me getting gender reassignment surgery even though it's allowed according to imam Khomeini after you get diagnosed with gender dysphoria. Their reason is that it's not acceptable in our culture and they dont want their only son to become a woman. I genuinely understand their issue with it but what should I do? They're currently trying to make me ”normal” with the help of a mualana from Iran who is also completely against this and thinks that I can also change. I'm not sure what to do? Follow everything my parents say or do what I want? I'm stuck.

Salam, With the high number of Shia Brothers and Sisters looking for marriage and there seems not to be any respite in near future (even though we have shiaspose.com, shiamatch.com, shiarishtay.com etc.) , I was thinking to start a socia-business for Shia speed dating in various big cities in US and UK. If something like this would be offered at a city near you, 1. Would you register? 2. What would you pay for the service? 3. How far would you drive/fly to attend the service? 4. Should I force the hijab policy for attendants? 5. Should I force a dress code (so sisters here don't come in their traditional dresses and look all pretty and stuff and not show the real faces etc :) 6. Should I also ask for attendants resume for members to vet any professional likings? 7. Should I ask for SSN# (in case of USA) for a background check? What's your take? Please be concise. But definitely feel free to include your candid comments and suggestions. Thanks in advance.
