Salamalikum brothers and sisters, I was doing a presentation on Imam Ali a.s and I need a picture of his father Abu talib ibn Abd al-Muttalib as I cannot find it anywhere. If you have multiple as well that would be great, shukraan and may peace be upon you.

As-Salaam-Alaikum I was wondering if it is haram to get a nose job to fix my crooked nose as i got into a car accident in the past. It's making me very self conscious and anxious.

Are Muslim women forbidden to cover their faces while performing Hajj rituals? Watch until 3:27 (Viewer Discretion). What is up with that? They made a face out of Allah's Arabic name? Also, a similar shape is apparent on the copy of my Qu'ran. http://img2.imagesbn.com/p/9789694320007_p0_v1_s260x420.jpg In the very top-center of the vine-pattern, the vines curl together to form a shape quite like the one in the video. Can someone explain this to me?

(bismillah) (salam) Last night, as I was reading through my new foundation label, it said that they do not test on animals. Now I've heard about products being tested on animals, but I didn't really know what kind of "testing" it was. So I went online and went on google images and searched "make up tested on animals". I was so shocked. I was speechless. I did not know that this was the kind of "testing" they did on these poor animals. If you google it, I warn you. It's not going to look good. I was sick to my stomach and it brought tears to my eyes. I thought to myself, "so these animals are suffering so we can look good." I felt ashamed of not even realizing that earlier. I never read the product labels before, but last night out of boredom, I decided to read it. What these animals go through can only be done by cruel people. People that want to make money out of animal sufferings. The way the mascaras are tested is that they get a monkey and they apply the harmful mascara on his eyelashes. Or even worse, the stuff that happens to the rabbits. I'm not going to get into details of what these disgusting people do. I decided to make this thread, to warn brothers and sisters (yes brothers too, deodorants and cologne are tested on animals as well) to always read the label on the back and find out whether this company tests on animals or not. I know for a fact that using products that are tested on animals is haram. Sisters, here are some of the makeup brands that do not test on animals. I know that the sisters in the UK don't have access to products that are tested on animals because the UK has banned animal tested products from being sold from the UK. But please read, just in case : Products that claim they DON'T test on animals : Almay Amazing Cosmetics Arbonne Aveda Avon BARE ESENTUALS bath and body works bobbi brown bonne bell burts bees Estee Lauder Flirt! got2b LUSH MAC Mary Kay Revlon Smashbox Stila Too Faced Urban Decay Victoria's Secret Here are the products that do test on animals : Cover Girl Max Factor Neutrogena Sally Hansen L'oreal Aveeno Clean and Clear Lancome Maybelline Garnier Dove Suave Pantene Most of the products that do test on animals are drug store products such as CG, L'oreal. I'm shocked that I've been using a foundation that is tested on animals; it's the Nuetrogena one. Most of the products that are not tested on animals are expensive, but you have drug-store prices brands such as Mary Kay, Wet-n-Wild, and Avon, etc. I'm personally going to switch to Bare Minerals, even though it's expensive, but you know what? If it's a good product and does not test on animals, at least I can look good without feeling guilty deep down. What surprises me the most, is that how come the USA hasn't banned this? I mean, here you have these commercials on TV showing the poor animals being hit and being treated cruely. Do these people not know that what happens to the animals that cosmetics are tested on are being treated worse? Instead of making stupid commercials about donating money to animal shelters (of course, the money is going right inside their stomachs, and no way is being used on the animals) why don't they make commercials about animal testing that will attract the viewer's attention? Inshallah this animal testing gets banned!! :(
