Salaam and Eid Mubarak. I absolutely love the Eid Qunoot. اللّهُمّ إِنّي أَسْأَلُكَ خَيْرَ مَا سَأَلَكَ عِبَادُكَ الصَّالِحُونَ، وَأَعُوذُ بِكَ مِمَّا اسْتَعَاذَ مِنْهُ عِبَادُكَ الصَّالِحُونَ. allahumma ahla alkibriya‘i wal-`azamati wa ahla aljudi wal-jabaruti wa ahla al-`afwi wal-rrahmati wa ahla alttaqwa wal-maghfirati as’aluka bihaqqi hadha aliyawmi alladhy ja`altahu lilmuslimena `edan wa limuhammadin salla allahu `alayhi wa alihi dhukhran wa mazedan an tusalliya `ala muhammadin wa ali muhammadin wa an tudkhilany fe kulli khayrin adkhalta fehi muhammadan wa ala muhammadin wa an tukhrijany min kulli su‘in akhrajta minhu muhammadan wa ala muhammadin salawatuka `alayhi wa `alayhim allahumma inne as’aluka khayra ma sa’alaka `ibaduka alssalihuna wa a`udhu bika mimma ista`adha minhu `ibaduka alssalihuna O Allah: You are the Lord of glory and greatness And the Lord of magnanimity and omnipotence And the Lord of pardon and mercy, And the worthiest of being feared and the Lord of forgiveness; I beseech You in the name of this day, which You have decided to be feast for the Muslims, And to be safety and increasing honor for Muhammad—peace of Allah be upon him and his Household— (I beseech You) that You may send blessings upon Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad, And You may include me with every item of goodness with which You have included Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad, And that You save me from any item of evil from which You have saved Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad, May Your blessings be upon him and upon them. O Allah: I pray You for the best of all that for which Your righteous servants have prayed You, And I seek Your protection against all that against which Your righteous servants have asked Your protection. I have wanted to ask this for years. Such a long qunut, repeated so many times in a row. Eid prayer feels so long, arms hurt, I do not find the wisdom in it. On what basis is that prayer celebrated that way - meaning the 5+4 'Allahumma ahl al kibria wal `azama' ?

So here we are at that point of time where we boast our belief and take pride in our leaders - Eid-e-Ghadeer. Let's see things from a Sunni's perspective. String s1= Ghadeer_Event; String replaceString=s1.replace('Master','Friend'); //replaces all occurrences of 'Master' to 'Friends' in Ghadeer Event. 1. Jibraeel (عليه السلام) came to Holy Prophet (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) when he was in Al-Mina and said:... Raise him (Ali) as a guiding flag for people, remind and renew people’s covenant and pledge about adhering to the authorized representative of Mine and the Friend of every believing man and woman, Ali Ibn Abi Talib ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم))... 2. Three times did Gabriel command me on behalf of the Peace, my Lord, Who is the source of all peace, to thus make a stand in order to inform everyone, black and white, that: Ali ibn Abu Talib is my Brother, Wasi, and successor over my nation and the Imam after me, the one whose status to me is like that of Aaron to Moses except there will be no prophet after me, and he is your Friend next only to Allah and to His Messenger. (From Holy Prophet's (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) sermon at Ghadeer) 3. “O people! Comprehend (the implications of) what I have just said, and again do comprehend it, and be (further) informed that Allah has installed him (Ali) as your Friend and Imam, obligating the Muhajirun and the Ansar and those who follow them in goodness to obey him...(From Holy Prophet's (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) sermon at Ghadeer) 4. listen and obey, and submit to the Command of Allah, your Lord, for Allah, the Exalted and the Sublime One, is your Friend and Lord, then next to Him is His Messenger and Prophet who is now addressing you, then after me 'Ali is your Friend and Imam according to the Command of Allah... (From Holy Prophet's (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) sermon at Ghadeer) 5. Whoever among you takes me as his Friend, this, Ali is his Friend, and he is Ali ibn Abu Talib, my Brother and wasi, and his appointment as your wali is from Allah...(From Holy Prophet's (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) sermon at Ghadeer) 6. Their Prophet on the Ghadeer Day calls on them all At Khumm, how great the Prophet is when he does call! He said, “Who is your Friend and Wali?” They said, showing on that day no hostility, “Our Friend is our God while our Wali is you, You shall find today none to disobey you.” He said to him, “Stand up, O Ali, for I did find “You to be and Imam after me and a guide.” (Poetry of Hassan bin Thabit after Prophet's declared Ali as Friend) 7. Then, he ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)&HF) said: “Behold! Whosoever I am his Friend, this Ali is his Friend. O Allah! Stay firm in supporting those who stay firm in following him, be hostile to those who are hostile to him, help those who help him, and forsake those who forsake him... (From Holy Prophet's (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) sermon at Ghadeer) 8. Bakhin, O son of Abu Talib, this morning you became Friend of every believing man and woman.'' - Omar bin al-Khattab. Became Friend this morning (10 AH)? 9. Conclusion - Jibraeel (عليه السلام) came 3 times to Holy Prophet (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) with this message from Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى), Holy Prophet (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) stopped 100k+ tired Muslims in the middle of nowhere in extreme heat for 3 days to announce after a long sermon - 'People, Ali is your Friend' and then asked everyone to shake hands and tell him they friends now. 10. All hajis after reaching home - Wife - honey, you're 3 days late. Haji - ya, Muhammad made us stop. We are now friends with Ali.

Comment Should we rejoice on the day of Eid and celebrate it in a festive mood? Or should we observe the aamaal in a melancholy mood? Also published on: https://ahlulbaytmission.org/2019/08/09/grief-of-aal-e-Muhammad-renewed-on-eid/

Salaamu Alaykum, So eid is coming up, and I had a question: I am a follower of Sayed Khamenei, who allows use of telescope sighting. I live in South Western Ontario, so I share a horizon with places along the west coast of the United States, who are predicted to be able to sight the moon with a telescope. So, my question is: In a hypothetical situation, if there are reports of sightings among the west coast (with a telescope), which are verified by, for example, moonsighters.com, or other sites/organizations, but Sayed Khamenei's office/representative does not announce eid, do I celebrate eid, or do I wait for the day after to celebrate, since he did not announce it? Jazzakum Allah Kheyr

So I went with Saudi Arabia to start Ramadhan, but as I am in the United Kingdom should have gone with Morocco. Now I regret going with Saudi Arabia. Saudi Arabia have said Eid is tomorrow, Morocco say Eid is the day after (like Iran I expect). What would you do? Bare in mind there will literally be nowhere I can go to pray Eid prayer in my city by following Morocco.

Bismillah I know this is a bit late but I’d like to humbly present to you all this small poem in honour and celebration of the birth anniversary of the daughter of Imam Ali and Lady Fatima, Lady Zainab e Kubra written by my humble self. Today the blessings of the heavens opened as a moon into the house of Ali, She descends in her glory and the moon hides in her awe of her beauty, Even the sun dare not gaze upon her to protect her modesty, Stars rotate around her magnanimity. Zainab is her name, A name that can move mountains, For which other woman can be known as a princess in the heavens, This name shook each place that she is summoned. And courage applauds her valour, Many women can be brave but only one can become Islam’s flagbearer, Protecting others without the need for armour, One strike from her tongue can make everyone cower, The sister of Abbas is also a soldier. No one on this Earth would see what you see, And still compliment the Lord on His beauty, I’m inspired by your mention, Oh holy lady, My tongue calls to you in both celebrations and calamities, Each letter in your name serves as in your praise poetry, This is your station oh Zainab daughter of Ali. I say to my sisters and mothers, Protect this hijab, For this is her banner, Wear it with every being of your fibre, Let this crown make you hold your head up higher This is your armour, It sends an attack to your oppresse Look at her shrine in Syria, Standing tall with pride and honour, It sends a message to those wishing for terror, Where you wanted to defame her, Look at who you are and then look at Sani e Zahra, You are forgotten like the names of your ancestor and like her father, She is the victor, The warrior in the face of horror, She is the champion and the winner. She taught me patience when the world crumbles around you, Never bow down to that which is not true, Have patience that a light at the end of this dark tunnel will see you through, She is my strength and through her love my heart grew, No longer did my eyes shed tears when her story I knew, For no matter what we see in this dunya, Is nothing compared to the strength held by the daughter of Fatima. Oh my Lady forgive me if my pen was unable to show the world your beauty, But in this failure is my victory for who can truly describe even an ounce of your personality, Indebted to you is humanity, Your service to God is your legacy. Oh Lady Zainab my mistress, Grant me this prayer that escapes my lips as a whisper, Let me visit your shrine in Syria, Sit beside your grave and recite in your honour, And see the flag of your brother fluttering in the breeze as your protector

Why do muslims sacrifice animals during eid el adha? Is there anyone specific who like started this tradition? Why is it mus-tahab? Is there any hadith or quotations on it by imam Ali a.s. ?

Assalamu Alaikom wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh Today is Eid al Zahra and the start of Usboo al Wahda, the week of unity of Muslims ending on the 17th of Rabi ul Awal, declared by Imam Khomeini (ra). On this day, Imam Sajjad (as), the man who would soak his beard in tears smiled. On this day, the killers of Imam Husayn (as) were avenged. Let us all be happy on Eid al Zahra and praise Allah in unity with all Muslims. Eid ul Mubarak!

RTS article: Eid al-Adha "Festival of the Sacrifice" Salam. Bismillahir Rahmaanir Raheem, May the Peace and Blessings of Allah (swt) be upon Prophet Muahmmad (saw) and his pure family (a.s). Eid Al-Adha "Festival of the Sacrifice", is celebrated worldwide each year. It marks the end of the annual Hajj to Mecca. In the Islamic lunar calendar, it falls on the 10th day of Dhu al-Hijjah. It honors the willingness of Prophet Ibraheem (a.s) to sacrifice his son Ishmael (a.s), as an act of submission to God's command, before God then intervened sending his angel Jibraeel (a.s) and informs him that his sacrifice has already been accepted. first wanna ask if shia have Eid adha on same day as sunnis in 12 septamber ? , second Eid Mubarak third , what's is the moral behind sacrificing animal ? I know the Ismael/abrham story , but I don't understand why have to keep carrying on this tradition of slaughtering an animal every Eid ? also muslims of india always get in trouble with the hindus and it create hatred among both communities when muslims slaughter cows in Eid al adha , should muslims take hindus feeling into consideration and not kill cows !! as for this practice is it sunnah or fard !
