"One of the greatest treasures that can be found within the world of Shi'ism is supplication (du'a). If Islam produced nothing else during these last fourteen centuries other than Imam Ali's Du'a Kumayl and Imam Sajjad's Du'a Abu Hamza, the very fact that these two supplications appeared from a world of ignorance and nomadism at the hands of these two students of Islam suffices us. These supplications are so sublime and uplifting that truly a miracle is nothing other than this." Morteza Mutahhari, Azadi-ye Ma'nawi (Spiritual Freedom), p. 61.
Salam dear friends: The other day, I was reciting translation of Dua Kumayl, I came to following line, which I don't understand: wa bi-as-m¡-ikal-lat¢ malat ar-k¡na kul-li shay And by Your Names, which have filled the foundations of all things; The translation, I have, it was like: And by Your Names, which have filled all good parts of things; But I could not understand either of above translations. Please help me out, understanding above translations ? Thank you.
