I had a paper published in an Iranian Journal, Religious Inquiries, in 2019. Here is the summary: The so-called Islamic State (ISIS/ISIL) used the hadith mentioning that “the slave-girl will give birth to her master” to justify its renewal of sexual slavery. This hadith is talking about signs before the end of the world, so it could be interpreted by the same Temple theology technique that has been used in the biblical book of Revelation, which is also about the end of the world. “Temple theology” refers to the fact that many obscure and bizarre texts symbolically describe the rituals and politics of the Temple in Jerusalem. Thus, it will be argued that the whole hadith is talking about events that happened prior to the destruction of the Second Temple in Jerusalem in 70 CE (the Temple symbolized the world, so the end of the world refers to this incident). In particular, it will be shown that slave-girl refers to the Virgin Mary giving birth to Christ. The hadith is then linked to the start date of the building the Dome of the Rock in 688 CE, which is the year 999/1000 according to the “Seleucid Era” calendar, implying a nearness to a symbolic end of the world. As such, the “Islamic State” has no Islamic basis to use sexual slavery. As an appendix, the Dabiq hadith concerning the conquest of Constantinople is briefly discussed with reference to the possibility that Constantinople did fall to the Muslims before another symbolic end of the world, the year 7000 according to the Byzantine Calendar. قصةٌ واقعيةٌ من مؤسسةِ العين "عمّتي هيَ والدتي والسيدُ السيستاني هو والدي"عائلةٌ بسيطةٌ عاشَتْ في مِنطَقةٍ مُختَلَطَةِ السُّكانِ في أطرافِ محافظةِ بغداد، في يومٍ مَّا في عامِ 2006 عادَ والدُهُمْ مِنْ زيارةِ الإمامِ الحسينِ (عليهِ السلام) فكانَ ذلكَ جُرْمَاً بِنَظَرِ الإرهابيينَ يَستَحِقُّ عليهِ قطعَ رأسِهِ و رَمْيَ جثتِهِ في مستنقعِ مياه، وبعدَ ما فعلَ الإرهابيونَ ذلكَ اضطَرَّت العائلةُ إلى مغادرةِ المِنطقةِ نتيجةَ الضغوطاتِ التي مارَسَها الإرهابيونَ عليهِم، فتهجَّرتِ العائلةُ إلى محافظةٍ في جنوبِ العراق، وبعدَ انتهاءِ تلكَ الفترةِ المظلمةِ -وبالتحديدِ في عامِ 2013- عادَت العائلةُ إلى منزِلِهِا لتتخلَّص من وضعِ النزوحِ وعدمِ الاستقرارِ، ولكنْ لَّم تكن تعلم بِأنَّ القدرَ سيفعلُ فِعلَتَهُ بِهِا، فقدْ فوجِئَتِ العائلةُ عندَ صباحِ يومٍ مَّا بأنْ يَهْجَمَ عليهِا شِرْذِمَةٌ منَ الإرهابيينَ فعَمَدوا على قتلِ كلِّ من كانَ في المنزلِ حتى الطفلِ الذي كانَ في جوفِ أمِّهِ بعدَ أنْ قتلوها وعَقَرُوا بَطنَها لإخراجِ الجنينِ منها، ولم يكنْ هنالكَ سبباً إلا انتماؤهمُ الطائفي، فراحَ ضحيةَ ذلكَ رجُلان من العائلةِ وزيجاتهُمُا وأبناؤهُما -إلا من نَجَا منَ الأطفالِ بأعجوبةٍ- وخالُهُم الذي ساقَهُ القدرَ ليَحِلَّ ضيفاً عليهِم في ذلكَ اليومِ فتَشْمَلُهُ تلكَ المصيبة، ونجتْ منَ الحادثةِ أختُ الشهيدينِ بعدَ أنِ استَطاعَتْ أنْ تُخْفِيَ نفسَهَا في خِزانَةِ الملابس، وكذلكَ نَجا بعضُ أولادِ أخيها الأكبرِ الذينَ أخفَتْهُمْ أمُّهُم في غرفَتِهَا وتصدَّتْ هي للذبحِ حتى لا يُفَتِّشُوا الغرفةَ فيَجِدُوا صغارَها، وكذلكَ نَجَا احدُ أطفالِ أخيها الآخر الذي احْتَضَنَهُ والِدُهُ فصارَ الرَّصاصُ في جسمِ الأبِ إلّا ما نفذَ من جِسْمِهِ وصارَ بالطفلِ الصغير، ولم يكتفِ الإرهابيونَ بذلكَ، وإنَّما عَمَدُوا على تفخيخِ المنزِلِ وتفجيرِهِ، لكن استطاعتْ عمَّةُ اليتامى إخراجَ منْ بَقِيَ حَيَّاً منَ الأطفالِ قبلَ أنْ يَتِمَّ التفجيرُ. هذهِ العائلةُ تمَّ التكفُلُ بِها منْ قبل مؤسسةِ العينِ للرعايةِ الاجتماعيةِ، ولمْ تَدَّخِرِ المؤسسةُ شيئاً تستطيعُ أنْ تُقَدِّمَهُ إلّا وقَدَّمَتْهُ لهذهِ العائلةِ، وقبلَ عدةِ أيامٍ تمَّ تسفيرُ اليتيمِ الذي احتَضَنَهُ والدُهُ واختَرَقَتِ الرصاصاتُ كِلْيَتَهُ ومثانَتَهُ، ليتِلقى علاجُهُ خارجَ العراقِ حتى يستطيعَ تصريفَ إدرارِهِ بشكلٍ طبيعيٍ، والطفلُ يقولُ لمنْ يسألُهُ عنْ والديْهِ "إنَّ أبي وأمي الآنَ في الجنةِ، ولكنْ بالوقتِ الحالي عمَّتي هيَ والدتِي، والسيدُ السيستاني هوَ والدي". لقدْ كانتْ هذهِ الجريمةُ دليلاً على وحشيةِ الإرهابيينَ التكفيريين، ولعل المتأمِّلَ في هذهِ المسألةِ سيَستشرِفُ حالَنا جميعاً لوِ استَمَرَّتْ عصاباتُ داعش بالزحفِ نحوَ بغداد وباقي المحافظات، فإنّ المصيرَ المتوقَّع لكلِ عائلةٍ هوَ المصير ذاته الذي واجَه تلكَ العائلةِ المنكوبة، بلْ لعلَّهُ أكثرُ منْ ذلكَ، فالموتُ أهونُ منْ اسرِ النساءِ والأطفالِ وتجنيدِهِم لصالحِ الإرهابيينَ من أصحابِ الجنسياتِ المختلفةِ وغيرِهِم، ومنْ يستوعِبُ ذلكَ يشكُر اللهَ على نعمَةِ تلكَ الفتوى التي صَدَرَتْ منَ المرجعيةِ العليا، وكانتْ هيَ السدَّ المنيعِ الذي أوقفَ ذلكَ السيلِ العارِمِ بعدَ اجتياحِهِ الموصلَ وغيرِهَا منَ المُدُنِ والمحافظات.

That's a creative imagination there. So the burning alive of pilots in cages, the flame throwers, the orange boiler suit thing he had going on... Was it all lies? Did Daesh execute people with the power of song and dance instead?? Astaghfirullah, honestly... Well, Allah has removed the self righteous mask from this hypocrite and shown his true self to the world and made the Muslims successful over him. Long may victory continue!

Russia is protecting Israeli interest in Syria and the series of senior Iranian and Hezbullah Officials is due to Russia. What you have to say about this? Can Russia be trusted?

Salaam Alaikum all-- I know this is going to be a difficult task to ask of everyone. I am not well informed regarding the Syrian crisis, and if possible, can someone give me a brief description of all the events that lead up to the Syrian Civil War, and if possible, what are our roles as Muslims in the conflict, i.e. who should we support. My husband says he supports Assad and has articles about what's going on, but unfortunately, most are in Arabic. I just want to make sure I have knowledge of this subject, and what side I should support or what I can do further as a Muslim. Thank you.

Dear All B&S, Al Salam Aleykom, I need to know what is exactly the Daesh? What do they believe? Who are they? Do they have same believes with all Ahle Sunnat? Can a sunni simply converts to a Daeshi? I really don't know how Daesh appeared and what is their Goal except Destroying Islam.!

Charlie Rose Talks to Iranian President Hassan Rouhani There are reports that the U.S. informed Iran in advance of the airstrikes on Syria. Is it true? On the sidelines of the nuclear talks, in a general fashion, this topic was touched upon. And they had a general conversation about it, about the fact that the U.S. said they would intend to extend the range of the air bombardments in Iraq. Nothing precise, nothing that came a day or a few hours prior to the bombardment of Syria. Do you think the airstrikes will have the intended effect? Does the United States think that with a few bombardments that we’ll be able to destroy terrorism? And make them suffer damages? If that’s the general thought, then it’s incredibly simple thinking. This terrorism has been taking the lives of Syrians for the last three years. How is it that now the U.S. thinks of combatting them? And do you approve of the joint air campaign in Syria? If the air bombardment campaign is not within the framework of international law, it is to be condemned, and assuming that the objective is to combat terrorists in a nation, without coordination with the government of that country and at the request of that country, then such action, whatever the intent may be, can be considered an attack and an invasion. These are wrong actions. It is not clear for us what they are seeking, whether they’re under the pressure of their own domestic public opinions and want to put on a show or they’re after a tangible objective. I can tell you unequivocally, no terrorist group can be eradicated through aerial bombardments only. Why do so many terrorists invoke the name of Islam in their recruitment? Evil always uses the name of the righteous in order to reach its objectives. No one will ever say, “I am an oppressor. Be on my side.” In our region, Islam, the faith, is quite attractive for the youth. Some have managed to take advantage of this love. Unfortunately in our region, because of the hegemony of the world powers, the wars, a lot of the youth have lost their hope. This hopelessness is a path that makes them more readily available to go toward fake and empty slogans, think that would be their salvation. The ISIL is a former affiliate of al-Qaeda terrorist group, which has been one of the main forces in the Syrian war aimed at overthrowing the government and has recently started an extremist-marked assault in north of Iraq. The paper says American intelligence services have already reported of the underway activities for formation of the group by Flaifel. The report also says the Bahraini regime of Al Khalifa has been warned by US authorities over consequences of its brutal crackdown of the pro-democracy movement, that could get worse by formation of radical groups in the country. Flaifel is accused of committing acts of physical and psychological torture on Bahraini citizens from 1980s. He has also been reportedly involved in acts of violence against pro-democracy activists in the country. On 5 December, Flaifel tweeted death threats against three activists involved in the 2011-2012 Bahraini uprising: Mohammed Al-Maskati, Nabeel Rajab, and Yousef Al-Mahafdha. The incident led the International Federation for Human Rights and the World Organisation Against Torture to issue a joint statement calling for a letter-writing campaign on the men's behalfsince mid-February 2011, thousands of protesters have held numerous demonstrations in the streets of Bahrain, calling on the Al Khalifa royal family to relinquish power. Foreign forces from Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates were called in immediately at the beginning of the protests to help Manama quash the anti-regime protests.
