Al-Salamu Alaikom I'm writing as my best friend, who is a christian, asked me if I would attend her little sister's confirmation, which is naturally held at the church. A confirmation is basically a sacrament, ritual or rite of passage practised by Christian denominations. The word means strengthening or deepening one's relationship with God. However, I'm not really sure if I'm allowed to attend such event, and I've been researching the internet, but the arguments that followed were all suni related (not that I mind) but it's just the arguments were based upon what the sahaba has said, and I'm not really sure if it's exactly the same, cause we do have different views on some things. -
Assalamu aleikum, brothers and sisters. I was just wondering if it was haram to enter a church? Not for worshiping reasons, but only because my school is having a field trip day and is visiting a church. Should I stay at home? Thank you.

Salaam alikum brothers and sisters I thought I would share this video , of one of our most ancient churches in Iran . And hope it shed some light on those who do not know the wonderful history between the christian Armenian and Muslim Iranian people . Regards N

Assalamu Alaikum Brothers and Sisters, I have come across some interesting information from a Christian brother of mine. He does not have much love for the Church, but not an unhealthy hatred either. Regardless, I am looking for second opinions on this supposed prophesy from other Christians and Muslims alike. I was then presented with the following prophesy (by St. Malachy in the 12th Century) in regard to him and the Church. http://www.biblebelievers.org.au/malachy.htm Thoughts? I believe it is incredibly important to listen to the beliefs of our brothers in other religions and their prophesies. We have ours, they have theirs, and I enjoy seeing where and how they intersect, if at all.
