Salam brothers/Sisters, My best friend's father is suffering from cancer. And he is right now in the OT and will undergo a surgery in sometime. I have a kind request to all of you to please please pray for him for this moment. He is genuinely dear to me and is a very helpful and great person. As salam alaikum.. First of all, Eid Mubarak to all! I have some very urgent questions..for a momin cancer patient.. We want to know if Reiki can be done? I learnt Reiki before I was a Muslim, and another nonMuslim friend is willing to remind me of some of the things for this person...but is it islamically allowed? Not going to use the symbols...but just the idea of energy as a healing....do we have that in islam? And can I do healing on this person using this idea? I know some stuff is there in irfaan...and I would love to get to the depth lf irfaan, but unfortunately I also have a masters thesis going on right now..so inshaAllah after that....but meanwhile I need help on cures for this person... It is very advanced...and we have done a surgery and now doing chemo..have also changed lifestyle n diet dramatically by removing sugar, red meat, dairy etc...n few other things...ofcourse lotssss of duas, zam zam water, soursop, spirulina and similar natural herbs... If someone can tell me...can she do reiki on him from a distance?is that allowed?or is there any specific ruling against it completely? any other proven islamic/irfaan methods as well that can help side by side with conventional treatment would be great... I was very against chemo due to the bad side effects n low success rates, but due to the aggressive nature of the cancer, this was needed....so I need some help on maintaining the immune system and helping in curing this while the chemo buys us time.. I know its possible..ive seen stories where people heal...and we have the faith...ofcourse at the same time we know its all Allah's wish at the end of it, but we would like to give it out best, with whatever we can offer in conventional medicine, natural, alternate, and ofcourse religious.. Allah gave them a lot of knowledge, including access to treasures of gold and dinars and how to speak to animals etc. So why didn't the Imams use these blessings to revolutionize the world or cure cancer? And if these powers were simply given to them to increase their followers' faith in their infallibility and special status, then why didn't they gather herds of millions of animals into fields and command them to stand on their hind legs etc. to show everybody once and for all that they are the true Imams? I mean, if you're given special powers and knowledge, you're supposed to use it to help Allah's creation. And if you're not supposed to use supernatural means and such powers, then first - why did Allah even give you such useless powers, and second - why did you use these powers in front of your companions such that the companions were able to narrate these supernatural events? Aren't you supposed to hide your powers, or is it ok to show people your special powers? If it's ok to show people, then why didn't the Imams do the whole million-herd-march thing I proposed above?

I was listening through a lecture about atheism and etc, and i came about this accusation from one atheist who explained why God is not beneficent nor merciful (naudhubillaah) by stating that for example bone cancer in children is something that is ruthless and kills without the fault of the person, and is not in our control... How do we Muslims reply to this crooked accusation and how do we debunk it? How can we prove Allah's goodness even with the existence of cancer's etc... Jazakallah... By the way this is the video

My relative has been diagnosed with leukemia masallah she heals and lives her life. Please make dua for her

(salam) all A dear friend's mom was diagnosed with cancer (a brain tumor) last week. Today we found out that it's stage III. Does anyone know of any Dua that cures Cancer? I've already checked duas.org, and I've googled but haven't been able to find anything relevant. Also, they don't live close to where I live, so the Duas that require you to blow on the patient, or on food or water for the patient won't work. Please help! Thanks.
