  1. Each religion has contracted its particular "spiritual disease" which prevents them from recognizing the Next Messenger; and this is mainly the fault of the religious leaders themselves. After reading Sura of Hud, where a succession of Prophets is described, and the punishments that came upon them for their apostasy, and knowing that God does not change His method, because of this verse: “(Such has been) the practice (approved) of Allah already in the past: no change wilt thou find in the practice (approved) of Allah. (Qur’an 48:23 YusufAli) --my question is: Why have men concluded that God has changed His method and decided to stop sending divine Messengers? I decided that the reason they do this is because they came to believe that Muhammad is the last Prophet ever to be sent to earth by Allah, because of the Verse about the Seal of the Prophets; but I see no reason to believe their conclusion, since “no change wilt thou find in the practice of Allah”.
  2. Hi guys, I saw this chat group and it was about Mahdi and number 313. What's the connection? I'm curious because one of the important battles in Babi and Baha'i history was the battle of fort tabarsi, where 313 Babis were fighting against thousands of shahs army, and they won.
  3. First some Introductory points: The Bab was a man who claimed he is the gate to Imam Mahdi (a.t.f.s), then claimed he is the Mahdi Himself, then he is a new Prophet and then he claimed he is God. This happened about 150 years ago in Persia. He appointed a man called Mirza Yahya Subh-i Azal as his successor and executor of his will. Mirza Yahya was the leader of the Babis until his half-brother Baha'u'llah (creator of the Baha'i cult) succeeded in sending him to the sidelines. Mirza Yahaya is greatly hated by Baha’is and regarded as one their greatest enemies. To put it in a nutshell, this is how he is viewed by Baha'is: “Mírzá Yaḥyá is scarcely spoken of, but when he is mentioned he is called Satan.” (E.G. Browne, Materials for the Study of the Babi Religion, p. 117)What most Baha’is don’t know or will not tell you is that according to the Bab, Mirza Yahya Subh-i Azal, was God. This is how the Bab’s will to Subh-i Azal starts: “Name of Azal, testify that there is no God but I, the dearest beloved. Then testify that there is no God but you, the victorious and permanent.”First the Bab states very explicitly that he is God (not a messenger from God or a manifestation of God, but God himself), then he tells Subh-i Azal that he too is God and should testify to this (seriously what the hell)! These statements being illogical and meaningless aside, according to the Bab Mirza Yahya Subh-i Azal is God and according to Baha’ullah he is the Satan and devil! Why should anyone takes the claims of Baha'u'llah seriously when he claims he is the one that the Bab had prophesied about when he doesn't have faith in the Bab's God and calls him Satan? And why should we take the Bab's claims seriously who claims he is God then Passes his Godhood to Mirza Yahya who is then deprived of his Godhood by Baha'u'llah and changed into satan?!Why do these people claim they are monotheists while the core of their beliefs is polytheism and belief in multiple human Gods (Baha'u'llah also claims he is God)?Where is the logic in any of these claims? 4. Hey, I wanted to create this thread and, as a Baha'i, I am interested in creating a HEALTHY debate about whether or not Baha'u'llah and the Bab are truly prophets. I would request from all those who would like to comment to not insult anyone, including Baha'u'llah, the Bab. This is meant to be a healthy conversation. FYI, I speak perfect Arabic so I have no problem explaining things in Arabic or verses, etc. from the Baha'i writings.
  5. An eye opening article: Shaykh Ahmad Ahsa’i and the Penis Tree Shaykh Ahmad Ahsa’i was widely regarded a heretic by Shia scholars. Baha’is try to portray him as one of the forerunners to the Bab and Baha’u’llah who was hated by the Shia clergy because of his connections with the Babi and Baha’i creeds that they claim were prophesized in his writings. He is held with great respect and esteem by Baha’i figures and their followers and is praised greatly in Baha’i literature. When one reads through the books of Shaykh Ahmad, it becomes evident why he was labeled as a heretic and rejected. Although he was a originally a Shia scholar himself and abided by Shia scripture, he later deviated and started uttering statements that even though were sometimes based on accepted Shia literature, were many times based on his own personal beliefs. In this article we will translate a section of his book Jawami` al-kalim. The book is a lithographed manuscript held at the National Iranian Library Archives with the number: 1329670 distributed by Sulayman Khan ibn Shamkhan Afshar in 1273 AH (1856-7 AD), Tehran. The section being translated is from pages 150-151 of the section called Risaliyyi Qatiffiyya. The following question is asked: “Question: What is the rationality in Jesus being born without a father and is the embryo (created) from the father’s water (semen) or the mother’s or from both of them or sometimes from one and sometimes from another?” This is how Shaykh Ahmad Ahsa’i responds: “I say: Do you not know that God is capable of doing anything. He intended to show His servants His power and the way that Adam was born. The father is the cause of birth because of the sperm that is in his loin. And that is not the sperm itself, rather the semen holds the sperm that is the spirit of life that crosses from it and appears with a smell, for the smell accompanies it [the translation of this last sentence was rather tricky and there might a better alternative]. And this is what falls from the Muzn tree and it is because of this that the inhabitants of the City of Women are all women and there is not a single male among them. These women are impregnated in their land by a tree. In the root of the tree there is a branch shaped like a man’s penis and it has an odor that smells like semen. The women will go (to the branch) and will use it and they become impregnated with a (baby) girl and this is caused by the odor. When God wanted to make manifest His power, he sent Gabriel (the Archangel) to Mary and he blew the air of its odor (from the tree) and the odor of the semen on her forehead--or according to a different narration in her mouth--and Jesus peace be upon him was born like that.” Basically, this what Shaykh Ahmad is saying: There is a city filled with women that impregnate themselves using a penis which grows on a tree. When God wanted to create Jesus He sent Gabriel to the penis tree in the City of Women and he took from it what smelled like semen and he blew it on Mary’s face and that is how Jesus was conceived! These are the beliefs of one of the forerunners to Baha’u’llah. Source and scans of the manuscript can be found here: Shaykh Ahmad Ahsa'i and the Penis Tree
