I believe that the Afterlife is not just for Humans and Jinn, but also for animals. Yes, your favourite pet cat that died will be brought back to life, and who knows, you may be reunited! I believe this for 2 reasons. Firstly, justice and mercy seem to require that animals be compensated for the suffering they endured on Earth. After all, many animals lived very difficult lives, full of pain and suffering. Secondly, a number of verses in the Qur'an seem to point to an Afterlife for animals. In the context of the end of the world, and the Day of Judgement, verse 81:5 says: و إذا الوحوش حشرت And when the wild animals are gathered together (hushirat) - Al-Takwir, 81:5 Allamah Tabataba'i in Al-Mizan says: و ظاهر الآية من حيث وقوعها في سياق الآيات الواصفة ليوم القيامة أن الوحوش محشورة كالإنسان، و يؤيده قوله تعالى: «و ما من دابة في الأرض و لا طائر يطير بجناحيه إلا أمم أمثالكم ما فرطنا في الكتاب من شيء ثم إلى ربهم يحشرون»: الأنعام: 38. The apparent meaning of this verse based on the place of its occurrence, and the context of verses describing the events of The Day of Judgement, is that the wild animals are also (brought back to life and) gathered (mah-shoora) just like human beings. This is supported by the verse: There is not an animal that walks upon the Earth, nor a bird that flies with its two wings, except that they form communities like your own; We have neglected nothing in the Book. Then to their Lord shall they be gathered (yuh-sharoon) - Al-An'am, 6:38. (Tafsir Al-Mizan, chapter on Surah Al-Takwir)

Salaam brothers and sisters. This thread is about things that you want in the afterlife. I have been thinking long about this for a while. Let me start off with the things I want in my afterlife from this world. - My PC - My game systems and games. - All my sports equipments and bikes. - The Internet - Abilities that were not possible in this life. - Pepsi, Coca-Cola, Sprite, orange soda and all the other soft drinks I love to drink. What do you guys want in the afterlife?

Assalam o alaikum. My grandfather, who I was extremely close to, passed away in 2014 while abroad. When I was a child, he'd always give me notebooks, calendars and pens that he received from work. Here's something that's been bugging me for four long years, and I know it sounds crazy, which is why I decided to ask. A few days after he passed away, I was in his study (I used to be the only one allowed to touch his things :')), going through his notebooks sentimentally. I took one of those notebooks - one that he'd made a few lists in on the first few pages - and started using it to write letters to him about how I felt and stuff. One day, I left it in the living room and went to sleep. I don't remember if this was the same day I started writing or a few days later, but the next morning when I opened the notebook to write in it again, there was a sticky note on the inside cover that said "for Mahnoor" (that's my name) in his handwriting. I'm positive it wasn't there before. And he wouldn't give me a notebook he had already used. So i was wondering, is it possible he actually put that note there after he died? I swear to Allah, I'm not making this up. Can the passed away interact with this world's objects like that? Or was I mistaken because I was so emotional at the time? Thank you for your time. I'm sorry this was such a long question.

This is a sensitive question. After a non-Muslim converts to Islam and his/her relatives end up not converting before their deaths, what follows according to Islamic teachings? Will his/her parents go to Hell for not being Muslim, while he/she goes to Paradise (if he/she would turn out to be a good Muslim, of course)? Or, will his/her relatives be saved from Hell thanks to him/her choosing for Islam (I remember someone telling me something like this)? It's such a horrible thought that the parents of a converted Muslim cannot join their child in the afterlife.

The Scole Experiment (Afterlife Investigations) This is only for those interested in the paranormal. I understand that barzakh is a barrier. After watching this video, my initial reaction is that the djinn clan are amusing us humans by mimicking the voice of the dead and so on. Although in western setting, many of the phenemenon found in the video can also be found in other cultures as well. Another aspect which interest me is that objects can materialise (as solid) and also appear as opaque/translucent/projection. This is interesting because many UFO incidents bear the same phenomenon. This comes to my strong conjecture that the UFO thing will be the biggest deception to human kind. It will be perhaps satan's best attempt divert humans away from God and towards worshipping him. This reminds me also by the tradition saying that when Imam Mehdi appears, there will be a call from the sky. Imam Sadiq (as) says satan will respond by throwing another call to confuse humans. The recent 2012 sound from the sky heard in some parts of the world could a dry-run (my guess). It could be HAARP. Allahualam.

He was actually the real uncle of the presenter of the chatshow. Watch it and tell me how you feel. Anyway, after watching the video, i felt an overwhelming sense of grief and i couldn't hold my tears back. I'm not usual the one that gets too emotional, but this just got to me. It was a real wake up call and reality check. It jabbed my inner conscience. I literally had to go to the restroom and wash down my tears. I realized how short and petty this life is, how volatile it is and how abrupt a conclusion it is. I remembered my sins, at the same time thinking of how much i have to prepare for the hereafter. I remembered how the martyrs of Kerbala strove for the truth and how i must follow their example and strive to reach my true destiny, with the pleasure of Allah and Ahlul Bayt (as). I understand why ahlul bayt (as) always tell us to keep death in front of us, because it keeps us grounded and alert. I felt sorry for the showhost and shocked for uncle frank. He was a lively, funny, nice guy. I wonder how God will judge him. How will God judge me? I realized i have to make some rectifications in my life. Later on in life, we will all see our close relatives and family pass away but we have to deal with it and take lessons from it to reach felicity. I still feel emotional. I have a question regarding this verse of the Quran: 13:28] Who have believed and whose hearts have rest in the remembrance of Allah. Verily in the remembrance of Allah do hearts find rest! Does rememberance of death constitute a form of rememberance of Allah? Thanks. (Note to moderators, i couldn't think of the *best* place to put this thread. If you see a better place, please do move it to there, i have no objection to such a thing.) I'll start this off with a little introduction, sorry to lengthen it but i feel it is important to the post. Please do read on, i'm sure you'll find it interesting. Lets begin. I was going for my evening run, as i usually do but tonight i heard something that wasn't usual. I heard a man screaming, a woman screaming and i saw the man throwing around things. My first instinct of course would of been to call the police but i was trying to figure out how serious the situation was, maybe just a minor dispute or misunderstanding. My second instinct would be to go over there and protect the poor woman or at least try diffuse the situation. I feel it is my moral duty to do such a thing and i will always stand up for others, no matter the cost. I would do this every time without fail, at least i believe i would stand up in a situation and not just cower away or ignore the wrong being done. I am not a Muslim but someone was hatefully arguing against religion and Islam, i stood up for Islam and did my best to open their eyes and protect people being targeted. I might not agree with Islam but i will protect, with every single inch of myself, your right to practice your beliefs and to be free from hate. I will stand up for all. Thankfully, the dispute between the man and woman looked minor (misunderstanding) and in any case, one of their neighbours just arrived in their car and they would inevitably sort it out. However, it got me thinking... What if i went over there to try break up this dispute and the man was armed. This isn't the nicest part of town and it isn't exactly unusual; one of my friends had a gun pulled on him, several people i know have been mugged around here; its not the safest place. So, i was imagining, say i went over there to protect this poor woman the best i could and the man was armed and he had stabbed me or something like that. It got me thinking, what happens to me if i die? Now, I'm agnostic but that doesn't mean i totally reject the afterlife either. I currently do not hold such a belief but my beliefs aren't the primary question of this topic, as you will soon see... I've tried to live my life the best i can according to the morals i think are best. Indeed, we probably share many similar morals, i assure you of that, without going into too many personal things that would make me uncomfortable. These things include romantic relationships to a degree, ethics, diet (vegetarian, obviously different but haven't had any pork ect in 10+ years) ect. I'm not trying to score points or anything or boast. I am a human being like you and im sure we have all done some things we wish we hadn't. I just wished to give a general idea of myself. You have my word that i am honest about all these things i say. It got me thinking, i share similar values to religious people and i am good people like they are(most anyway, not the hateful or intolerant). Also, they do good deeds partially or entirely out of love for God and because they know it is what God wills. They do it out of want for virtue and want for heaven. They try not to sin because they do not wish to displease God and they do not wish to end up in hell. Obviously, they are good people like I and wish to do good things for the same reason i do but they have additional motivation. I do my good deeds not out of want of reward or heaven but just because i believe it is the right thing to do and i wish to do them. Surely this is also virtuous, if not more virtuous (i think so anyway but i dont want to argue over this point much) because there is no motivating factor or reward. I like to study comparative religion and all the religions of the world. It has came to my attention that all three books/Abrahamic religions, regardless of how good of a person i am, seem to say i get a ticket to a place full of interesting volcano's, mustard ( i hate mustard) and fire. I am hellfire bound as they say. No matter how good my deeds are, if i don't do them with God in mind or to please God apparently i am bound for the hellfire. Obviously, i don't really enjoy being told all my good deeds are worthless in the grand scale of things and i don't like being told i am going to hell for being a good person or even going to hell for that matter. I dont really want to believe a loving God would still put me in such a place for being a good person but thats why i came here, to get everyones views. It got me thinking, imagine i died when that situation happened, where would i ultimately end up from the perspective of all the major religions. So, please do share your opinions. I know it isn't the most polite thing to tell me I'm going to hell and i won't exactly enjoy reading such a thing but a truth is a truth. If you believe it to be the truth please don't be afraid and tell me as such. I won't hold any personal thing against you of course. Perhaps, also, if you could please include a little explanation, to make it easier for me to digest. (I'm not sure if all Muslims hold one view to this issue or there are many different views by many different scholars and interpretations, same goes for all other religions but i'm happy to see a diversity of views and all view points.) (I also realise the fact you are not divine, you are a fallible human being like I and you are not Allah/god/brahman/ect... I realise you obviously can not know such a thing for certain and it is up to the supreme force to decide. I am not taking anyones words about the literal truth, so do not worry about misleading me. I just want to know what your religion and particular scholar you follow/ your beliefs say about where i will go and even what you personally think, which is also very important to me.)
