  1. Assalaam Malaikum brothers and sisters, On the evening of 16 Shaban 1441 (April 9, 2020 I believe) I had the following dream: I dreamt I saw Imam Ali bin Abu Talib (عليه السلام) at my place of work. I saw him and felt strongly it was him although he stood between 1 and a half foot - to 2 foot tall. I was walking towards him and saw him looking at me - but I couldn't make out any distinguishing features or even colors of his garb - it was as if he was suspended off the ground about a foot high. He wore a robe with a belt and sash along with a sword. Next to him I saw a small girl (like she w
  2. Bismillah I know this is a bit late but I’d like to humbly present to you all this small poem in honour and celebration of the birth anniversary of the daughter of Imam Ali and Lady Fatima, Lady Zainab e Kubra written by my humble self. Today the blessings of the heavens opened as a moon into the house of Ali, She descends in her glory and the moon hides in her awe of her beauty, Even the sun dare not gaze upon her to protect her modesty, Stars rotate around her magnanimity. Zainab is her name, A name that can move mountains, For which other woman can be known as a princ
  3. Today it is 11th of Muharram. After having mourned for Hussain (as) and his loyal companions who have been martyred in the greatest of battles, we have surely been taught something. For around 60 generations we have kept Imam alive. He may not be physically here, but his ideology is day by day being more sound. The more oppressed and corruptive this earth gets, the more we remember Hussain's struggle. We remember the feel Hussain must have had once he realized how the muslims went against him. The feeling of betrayal for worldly pleasures. They swapped gold dimes with a diamond pearl. A person
  4. Aslaamu-alaikum to all the readers. I have a question that I was asked by a friend recently but got stuck for an answer. His question started with, in the Shia Fiqh, is The act of Hajj (pilgrimage) obligatory (Wajib) on females? To which I replied that Hajj is wajib on every Muslim, from my common sense. HOWEVER, he further asked me to prove if any females in prophets household (more so referring to Lady Khatijah sa, Lady Fatima sa, Lady Zainab sa) performed hajj and asked for prove. I have tried to research but couldn't find any obvious answers or hadees in regards. Has any one got more infor
  5. When Zaynab (a.s) reached Kufa, she addressed people with fury words: “Praise to Allah, and may the blessing of Allah be upon Muhammad and his progeny. O people of Kufa! You are hypocrites and deceitful. You feign to be sorry for the death of my brother and his companions. May you always shed tears. I find nothing in you but flattery, evil acts and thoughts, pride and spite and ill will. By Allah! You deserve lasting sorrow instead of joy. Shame on you, your hands is imbrued with the blood of the son of the Holy Prophet, the one who was your sole refuge in case of adversity. By your evil
  6. This a the last music video of Hamed Zamani, Iranian revolutionary singer.
  7. Salam guys and thank in advance for helping with this, It is my understanding that the Shia' believe the Prophet SAW had only one daughter (Fatima Az Zuhra)? I'd like to be able to reconcile this point to see what their rationale is. 1. If the Prophet SAW wasn't the father of Ruqayyah, Umm Kulthum, and Zaynab, then who was? 2. If Umm Kulthum, Ruqayyah, Zeinab, were called as Umm Kulthum bint Muhammad and Ruqayyah as bint Muhammad etc., why did not their names/references change like in the case of Zaid ibn Harith, who was formerly known as Zaid ibn Muhammad? As you know, up
  8. As Iranian religious leaders abstain from issuing fatwas instructing their followers to go on jihad in Syria, Iranians from different youth organizations continue to attend mass gatherings calling for the protection of shrines, tombs and mosques from salafist militants. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qsq8T9pgWRo Thoughts?
  9. Assalamu Alaikum I am sure all of you are aware of the current situation in Syria. Unfortunately, the shrine of Hujr bin Adi (R.A.), sahaba of RasoolAllah (SAWW), has already been desecrated, and we do not want to see the same happen to the Holy Shrines of Bibi Zainab (S.A.) and Bibi Sakina (S.A.). Please sign the following petition, and share it with your family and friends. Please include the link in all your posts/threads. The following is a petition to UNESCO to protect Holy Shrines of Sayyeda Zainab (S.A.) and Sakina/Rukhaiya Bintul Hussain (S.A.): http://www.change.org/petitions/unit
  10. (bismillah) (salam) A couple of weeks ago I was reading about Mubahala and the date was 10 AH. So I thought to myself when was Hazrat Zainab AS born? Was she alive at that time or not? So I did a search at my favorite website www.al-islam.org and found that there are differences of opinion when she was born: either the 5th or 6th or 9th year of AH. So my question is, why do not the historians mention that Hazrat Zainab AS was present at Mubahela? Mubahila was in 10 AH. http://www.al-islam.org/history/history/mubahila.html Hazrat Zainab AS born 5 AH. http://www.al-islam.org/gracious/35.htm
