  1. Started a new thread for this since I am baffled and the other thread is going in different directions. @randomly curious stated that ghuluw is only calling Imams as God. Everything else is game on. What is everyone's thoughts on this. I find this to be shirk in itself. Of course he presented a narration to support this. But this narration is in clear violation of the Quran. We read Surah Ikhlas several times a day in which Allah says, there is nothing like him. Yet, this brother says Imams can be just like Allah, but it is only ghuluw to call them Allah. Is this a fringe opinion or is th
  2. 1. Does Shaitan and/or evil jinn know what we are doing? How often are they around? 2 Does saying "a'udhu billahi min ash shaytani rajim" remove the evil jinn from our vicinity? Similarly, does the start of Salah or even Adhan or even Wudu remove them from our vicinity? 3. Sometimes, one gets random waswas of Shirk that goes against everything you believe logically and spiritually, yet for some reason you still entertain the possibility of it's truth (astaghfirullah), and then these thoughts linger... how do you ignore these thoughts, because they can be VERY bothersome.
  3. Is it permissible to play games in which characters refer to other characters as 'lord'?
  4. I feel like I'm losing faith in shiism. So many things such as the building of shrines above the graves of the Imams never made sense to me and people calling out Imam Ali and not Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى) is reminiscent of what Christians do as in calling out Isa. Channels such as the Sunni defense and anti majos also negatively effects my faith. The thought of there being a chance that we could somehow be Mushriks by taking part in these things are quite concerning. Also things such as prominent Sunni scholars of the past whom are very educated have given fatwas denou
  5. Read the Reddit comments to understand what the thread was about, since the post has since been deleted. ....................................................................................... I'm so tired of the utterly nonsensical and VERY COMMON Sunni notion of 'I am happy to seek unity with Shias as long as they don't curse/insult/abuse any Sahaba, and especially NOT Aisha, Abu Bakr, Omar, Uthman. Firstly, any Shia claim regarding the sahabi that happens to go against the Sunni narrative is considered insulting. Secondly, and more importantly, is that the same notion i
  6. Bismillah, ar-Rahman, ar-Rahim AsSalaamu Alaykum, If you can define, “ Shirk” and what actually constitutes Shirk, based on your understanding of the term Shirk. ws, Layman.
  7. I am a layman, an average person with average or below average knowledge/intellect. But certain things are very clear to us lay/average people. One of them is this Slogan of 'Only Allah". I do not know which "The God" they are referring to when they say/demand 'Only God" in Command in the past, and "worship" today. https://www.al-islam.org/nahjul-balagha-part-1-sermons/sermon-184-keep-silent-may-Allah-disgrace-you ***** Today- its related to this phantom concept of their "version/definition" of the concept "Worship". This Slogan which on the surface looks True was/is Uti
  8. I’ve always been religious and started praying at a young age by myself. It was just me and Allah- like Allah was my only friend. One day I watched a video on YouTube and it said that how Allah is so far away. I felt like Allah was really faraway. Slowly it started becoming is Allah really there? I know it says that Allah’s closer to our jugular vein but I just I don’t know. My Imaan is so weak that the belief in Allah is going up and down. One minute it’s there an the next minute it’s not. It’s like my heart doesn’t want to accept like I feel a tightening in my chest. I want to have that conn

    Riya

Aslamualikum I'm new here I have a question very simple question . is sin considered sin if u don't know it's sin ? . i ll explain If I go to a Sunni mosque and pray with hand folded so that I won't be odd one is it considered riya as I didn't know about this and I stoped now , now I pray with hand alongside wherever I go
  10. A'uzobilla himinash Shaitaanir rajeem. Bismillahir Ra'hmaanir Ra'heem. Assalaamu Alaikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barkatuhu. I mean no offence. A hadith says that after reciting Sura Kaafirun and going to sleep makes reciter immune (i.e, a barrier) from Shirk. What does it mean by "immunity" and "barrier"? Those who recite or have started to recite, do you notice any change? (And please, no debates) Thanks in advance.
  11. I do not know this question is worthy to ask or not but I am asking to clear some concepts I want to ask can we call Imam direct to help us ?. Considering that Allah power belong to Allah and Imam can help with the will and power of God because in reality there is no existence except the Almighty "La Moujood Ilallah" 1- if No then i want to understand this authentic dua (Azm-Al-Bala) in which we seek direct Help from Prophet Muhammad saww, Imam Ali a.s and Hujat Ibn-il-Hassan a.s.
  12. Salamun Alaikum va Rahmatullah I would like to share a video that in this video it seems a Shia mullah is teaching and declaring the belief of tafviz, tafviz is considered shirk and kufr in the view of Ahlul Bait (AS). Through out history such groups have been always cursed and rejected by Ahlul Bait (AS). 124 Ali ibn Musa al-Riza (the eight imam of twelvers) said : Whoever believes that Allah (Azza wa Jalla) has submitted (given the authority of) the affairs of c
  13. Salam 1. Do Shias do shirk and why? 2. Are the imams more worth than the prophet in a Shias eye and why? 3. WHY ARE THERE DIFFERENT ISLAMIC SHARIA LAW IN DIFFERNET COUNTRIES 4. Why do Shias love Imam Khomeini when the shah was also Muslim and after Khomeini came in Iran got messed up 5. Why do Shias just sit and learn about the imams and not about the prophets and most important of all Allah 6. Why do we have majras when most of them just destroy society 7, Everyone listen Iran is messed up the system is when shah has the country it was better w
Assalam o Alaikum, Wa Rehmatullah, Wa Barakatuhu. Many Muslims incorrectly assume that idol worship is restricted to worshipping statues or simply attributing other Gods with the Lord Almighty. Although statue worship and attributing other forms of deities with God is no doubt a form of idolatry, limiting it to this understanding is untenable from the Quran's perspective. Idol worship from the Quran's perspective can take many forms. Here are some examples: (1) ONE'S OWN EGO AND DESIRE AS AN IDOL 025.043 "Have you see
Assalam o Alaikum, Wa Rehmatullah, Wa Barakatuhu. The most important, the most fundamental belief of Islam and the thing that causes one to enter Islam is belief in Tawheed (Oneness of Allah). "La ilaha illALLAH", There is no deity (khuda, god) except Allah. But what is meaning of "illah"? what are the things or characteristics that make someone "illah". Have you ever pondered over this thing? Answer is given by Allah in Quran, Surah Naml ayah 59 to 64. If someone's belief in Tawheed is correct as per teachings of Quran and Sunnah, then
  16. Assalam O Alaikum, Wa Rehmatullah, Wa Barakatuhu. Surely Allah does not forgive shirk (associating any partner with Him); and may forgive sins other than that if He so pleases. This is because one who commits shirk with Allah, does indeed invent a great sinful lie.
  17. There are almost daily questions/comments from ShiaChatters about this, that and the other being shirk. Only attaching any of the sifaat (attributes) of Allah to a creation is SHIRK. Nothing else is and as such, we can choose to do tawassul through the Prophet and his holy progeny without being accused of shirk. Sifaat-e-Sabootiya (Attributes Allah possesses): 1. QADEEM God is eternal. He has neither a beginning nor an end 2. QAADIR God is Almighty. He has power and control of everything 3. AALIM Allah is Omniscient. He knows everything. Nothing remains se
  18. Wahhabis say, traveling to visit the prophet's grave is Shirk and prohibited. Visitation of the prophet's grave (Ziarah) is recommended in Islam. Allamah Shirbini al_Shafiei says, Visitation of the prophet's grave is Sunnah, because the prophet said, whoever comes to visit me and no request urged him to travel except visiting me, I would be his intercessor on the Day of resurrection. (It is narrated as well in Assaha Al_Ma'thourah by Ibn Sokun) In Sahih Bukhari, Imam Bukhari narrated that prophet said, whoever beside my grave recites Salawat to me, Allah commands an angle to con
  19. As-Salam 'Alaikum, Allah has commanded us to do tawassul in His Book (5:35): يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا اتَّقُوا اللَّهَ وَابْتَغُوا إِلَيْهِ الْوَسِيلَةَ وَجَاهِدُوا فِي سَبِيلِهِ لَعَلَّكُمْ تُفْلِحُونَ You who have iman! Have taqwa of Allah and seek the wasilah unto Him, and do jihad in His Way, so that hopefully you will be successful. Tawassul literally means seeking a wasilah unto Allah. In simpler terms, you need something from your Lord, and you have two options: 1. Asking Him directly, imploring Him to grant you your wish in consideration of your own worth
  20. What i think is the whole univers each n everything is created by Allah ,he created this things for himself bkoz he has a lot of time power and nothing to do , so he is entertaining himself by testing u ,sending u n then judging u !! Is he not doing all this(blessing u if u prar or if u dont also ,giving u time, making u do prayers ) for his entertainment ??
  21. (salam) (bismillah) One of our brothers from the HCY forum ([url Edited]) has complied a number of refutations of the RevisitingTheSalaf group (99% refuted apparently) and has asked for the link to this website to be distributed to Shi'a websites and circles for reading. www.twelvershia.net Enjoy. 22. (bismillah) (salam) I am aware that it is a general belief that Hindus are kafir. But are they? Because in their religion there is also a concept of monotheism. they(a larger part of them) believe that there is only one creator of the world ishwara/brahma/vishnu/parmeshwara but sometimes god manifests himself in physical forms on earth and they are called avatars or bhagwans .This is shirk, but does shirk makes someone kafir? if yes then since Christians believe in trinity , are they kafir too? what actually makes someone kafir? what is the defination of kafir? Thanks in advance for t
  23. Correct me if I'm wrong, or if I am making the wrong conclusions, but after studying tawheed, it seems to me that most of us (muslims) are committing shirk. One thing that a lot of muslims do not want to except, is that someone who is a muslim and pronounces the shahada, and prays 5 times a day, and gives zakat, and makes hajj, and fasts in ramadhan, and recites quran can commit shirk through some of his beliefs and practices and be a mushrik(polytheist). "Ibrãhim was neither a Jew nor a Christian but he was a sincere ‘Muslim’ (one who submits to Allãh), and he was not one of the polytheists.
  24. If a married woman has relations with her husband's best friend, she makes arguments that it is OK we are JUST friends, I did not make him my husband. He fulfills my needs whenever I ask him, he takes care of me. And yes, he's very close to my husband, my husband can't refuse his request. The same thing mostly people do with Allah. They say it's OK to supplicate to others, prostrate, making Niyaz/ nazar etc as far as we did not call them God. While Allah clearly says, Surah Al-Baqarah, Verse
  25. This is an amazing book. I HIGHLY suggest everyone to read it and those who tries to use quranic verses to relate Shias with shirk to read this specifically. What ever argument you have, regarding any verse that you think is against tawassul for example, see how the author refutes your claim. You must read the whole book to get a clear picture of how polytheism and idolatry is portrayed. Taking one verse out of context wont work. We must understand the history of the meccans and idolatry as well. None the less, it is a really good read overall. http://www.al-islam.org/study-polytheism-and-id
