  1. Salam everybody. I have 2 requests. My first request is more personal and it is help for verifying the word counts I have read and seen. I cannot rely on testimony of people and want to see these amazing word counts for myself so that I can become a true witness to the miraculous nature of the Quran. I can sit down and count with a counter but this would take way too long and is prone to many mistakes unless I get a number close to the expected number. My second request is for help and a collection of a team of mathematicians on here who want to explore the mathematics of the Quran o
  2. In my opinion, the world would be a better place if we all cultivated more empathy, but this article points out some downsides. https://orbitermag.com/empathy/ Is society better or worse if there is greater social expectation of empathy? Would we all be better off if narcissism were considered normal?
  3. Salaam alaikum brothers and sisters Humans have an innate urge to explain and understand the world. That's why we have mythology, that's why we have science, and that's why we have pseudoscience. While, I suppose, there is nothing inherently wrong with pseudoscience, it is often used by unscrupulous politicians and media operatives to control and manipulate people and is a clear symptom of a population wanting to free itself from ignorance. Recently I've been reading Carl Sagan's The Demon Haunted World: Science as a Candle in the Dark. In an early chapter, Dr Sagan speculates
  4. AoA, Today i am going to share a very informative video with you about the most popular scientist Albert Einstein. As you may know that Einstein has submitted many theories. Science only accept theory when it is proved by some practical. Einstein most popular theory is Theory of Relativity. He was not able to find a practical example for this theory after researching alot when he came to know about "Islam". He became Shia and started believing Hazrat Ali (a.s) This video is in urdu Click here to watch video Jazak'Allah
  5. Fill this form I have to conduct a psychology research for my final exams. I need Orthodox religious people who follow traditional roles to fill up this form. It only takes about 5- 10 minutes at most. Be honest and answer the test according to how you really behave and what you believe in. Your identity isn't recorded so you can be sure nobody knows what you have answered. it is confidential. Thanks.

  7. Allama Shiekh Nasir al-Din al-Tusi Alaihir Rahma the great scientist, mathetician, engineer and shia theologian Article by: J J O'Connor and E F Robertson http://www.khanwadeabutalib.com/public/ilm/article/687/58#.U4-PWXJdVA0
  8. (BISMILLAH) (Salam) http://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/0022103183900343 I think a better title would be "Cruel but brilliant" as it emphasises on the cruelty and negativity of these guys. Basically, this lady found some very interesting results in a study she did on book reviews where she found that those who had negative and harsher reviews were often perceived as being more intelligent and as having greater expertise than those who simply went along and gave a nod. A quote from another guy: "Being negative makes you feel smarter. The guy who says 'I agree' never seems
  9. ASALAAM ALAIKUM EVERYONE. RECENTLY, I HAVE BEEN SEARCHING FOR A SCHOOL OF THOUGHT TO FOLLOW. I HAVE BEEN RAISED SUNNI BUT I NOW WANT TO STUDY THE SHIA APPROACH TO AL-ISLAM. MY REASONS BEING BECAUSE THERE ARE MANY DIFFERENCES, SOME SLIGHT, SOME MAJOR IN THE WAY DIFFERENT GROUPS APPROACH THIS RELIGION SO I HAVE DECIDED THAT I WANT TO DO RESEARCH (WITH THE HELP OF Allah) AND FOLLOW THE ONE THAT IS CLOSEST TO THE QURAN AND THE CHARACTER OF RASULULLAH (pbuh). THEREFORE I WAS WONDERING IF YOU ALL COULD POINT ME TO SOME GOOD AND WELL KNOWN SCHOLARS WHO CAN EXPLAIN SOME OF YOUR DIFFERING BELIEFS AND B
  10. Does the Shia follow the Prophet’s traditions? Question by: Suran Explanation: Do you know the traditions of the prophet? Do you act upon the prophet’s traditions? First Question Dear friend, if you take a quick look into our books you will find that they are filled with narrations and traditions from the Holy Prophet (S.A.W.S) (SAWS). On the other hand, according to Ibn Athir Jezri[1] the six righteous books of the Sunni’s, having omitted repeated narrations and traditions, has 9483 narrations whereas on the Shia references, Usool Al Kafi alone has 16199 narrations. Also notice that accord

  12. Salam everyone I need help with something that gets me frustrated and takes up a lot of my time, when learning about Islam I tend to research for hours about different topics and I end up looking up to much information that it gets me stressful and I don't feel like I learnt anything. So instead, can people tell me what good topics to research and learn about that will help me learn more efficiently rather than going from this to that and getting no where. I don't really know what I should be learning about so any suggestions that people think are good to start with will be good. If it helps,
