(salam) Last few weeks for pakistani were disturbing.what do you guys think is going to happen in a week or so? For those who dont know, There is an scholar named Tahir ul Qadri who has dual nationality of Pakistan and canada(he mostly lived in canada) is calling people towards revolution. He also tried to bring revolution few years ago in tenure of PPP government but then he compromised. He has a huge fan base here in pakistan. He runs a university,a charity organization,a religious and a political organization. He belongs to Brelvi, sunni sect. Now things are pretty serious than the long march he did previously. There was a clash few days ago between Police and supporters of this guy when Police tried to remove the barriers installed around his property in Model Town Lahore. 9 people died from bullets including a pregnant women. That sparked a huge emotion of anger. Long story short, now this guy has support of almost every major party in opposition except PPP. He says he is going to bring a revolution and Government has to go. Ruling party does not want to give him much space.so they almost jammed the whole lahore city. There is another political leader named Imran khan, who is protesting on alleged rigging in few of the constituencies. He has announced Azadi march which is going to happen on 14 August(independence day of pak, which is 15 august but who cares :D ) at federal capital Islamabad. Now the political leader and the scholar, both have teamed up against government. Looks like situation is going to be really rough in coming days. Government is using all resources on his disposal to prevent itself. Chief of Army staff General Raheel sharif has called a emergency corps commander meeting tomorrow. Shia political party MWM is also supporting the Tahir ul Qadri. They also supported PTI in general election. so yeah things are pretty exciting :D what do you think is going to happen?

Here is an article showing the likes of Imran Khan and his bearded friends their ugly, hypocritical, contorted faces. Good reason he didn't win the national poll last year, or Pakistan would already have become an emirate with Mullah Omar as its defence minister. To put things in context, a famous journalist Raza Rumi who hosts a talk show on an anti-Taliban TV channel was attacked a couple of days ago for speaking out against Takfiri terrorism and the oppression of minorities. Luckily he survived the attack but his driver was killed. On another occasion, a Christian man accused of blasphemy was sentenced to death by a court. It's the same case in the wake of which a mob came crashing into the Joseph Christian Colony (Lahore) and burned down 100+ houses, reacting nothing but only to hearsay. Read full HERE

(salam) Well, you can say that I'm late posting this thread but believe me; my purpose is not to remind you of the murder of Hakimullah Mehsud - the cursed terrorist who slaughtered innocents in the name of jihad. I want you all - specially Pakistanis - to focus upon two points: - Drone Attacks - Imran Khan's extreme affection for the terrorists - Drone Attacks I suppose we must condemn Drone Attacks when they're accidentally used to blast innocents off. But we should support'em when they aim at the terrorists only. We all know that the Government of Pakistan is in control of the terrorists and Nawaz Sharif - the 'Amir ul Mominin' of the Wahhabi Muslims. Thus, no struggle against terrorism must be hoped from him. - Imran Khan's extreme affection for the terrorists I love Imran Khan because he's one of the best politicians in Pakistan. He has the ability of change the fate of the wretched Pakistan. But I dislike his love and support for the terrorists. What do you all say?

There's a very good possibility that Imran Khan will not win these elections... so what's the plan after that? What's plan B? All these Pakistanis that want a revolution, what will you do if he's not elected and God forbid Nawaz Sharif, or worse, PPP wins? If IK wins, and not much changes, then what? I feel like everybody's putting all their eggs in one basket here, and placing way too much hope in the a system which has continuously failed to deliver.

Dialogue With Taliban Is The Only Solution?
Aabiss_Shakari posted a topic in Politics/Current Events
(salam) There are three stories. 1. Taliban shoot young girl Malala Yousafzai on her head after identifying her when she was returning home after attending school. She is in critical condition. 2. Taliban attached a bus returning from Kohat to Parachinaar carrying young girls from Kohat to Parachinaar who were returning home after attending M.Sc/M.A exams. They threw acid on their faces and injured them seriously. Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf and religious parties say that dialogue with Taliban is the only solution and Taliban are doing all this due to Drone Attacks by U.S.A. Sorry i missed one more story. 3. A dog in our street bites passerbys daily. Two days back two of my family members were coming to my house when the dog attacked them and bite them without any provocation. I have cotacted Imran Khan and PTI members and religious parties. They have advised me to have dialogue with the dog. May be he understand the situation and do not harm others.- 23 replies
