  1. Text of sermon 3 or sermon shaqshaqiyah of nahjul balagha is here https://www.al-islam.org/nahjul-balagha-part-1-sermons/sermon-3-allah-son-abu-quhafah Sources of this Sermon Allama Baqir Majlisi in his historical work Bihar ul Anwar narrated all the versions of this Khutbah Shaqshaqiyah from all primary shia hadith books along with some other reports in the chapter named: باب شكاية أمير المؤمنين صلوات الله عليه عمن تقدمه من المتغلبين الغاصبين "Chapter of Ameer al mumineen's PBUH Complaints about those who preceded him from the oppressors who took his right" Online Source to this chapter from Bihar ul Anwar: http://ablibrary.net/فارسی/کتابها/7645_بحار الأنوار(29)/صفحه_545 Authenticity of this sermon from Shia Scholar and Researcher of Bihar ul Anwar Shaikh Asif Muhsini. Asif Muhsini in his "Mashara'at Bihar Al Anwar", said: اورد فيه المصنف ( 69 ) شاهداً من الاحاديث والروايات ، والمذكورة برقم (17) معتبرة سنداً فقط لا غير ] [ مشرعة بحار الانوار / محمد اصف محسني ج 2 ص 34 ] "the Musannif(Al Majlisi) has placed in this chapter 69 narrations, only that narration which is number (17) has an acceptable chain of narrators" [Mashra'at bihar al Anwar 2/34] So the only reliable narration out of all 69 narrations in the chapter is 17. Which in fact is not sermon of shaqshaqiyah. Check from online source of Bihar ul Anwar Here Below is the scan of what Shaikh Asif Muhsini said in his "Mashara'at Bihar Al Anwar". Some more thoughts on this fabricated sermon. Jazak Alah khairan.
  2. We know that, according to Shia doctrine, every prophet was an Imam, though every Imam was not a prophet. So, in this sense, Muhammed or Rasoul-E-Khuda ( (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ) was an Imam before Imam Ali Ibn Abu Talib ( (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ). So, I want to be aware of the fact, who was the predecessor of pprophet Muhammed((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) or who was the Wali before prophetMuhammed ( (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ) as the Shia claim that Allah didn’t deprive any generation from an Imam ( Leader ) or a Hujjah ( proof.). Salaam
  3. Read the Reddit comments to understand what the thread was about, since the post has since been deleted. ....................................................................................... I'm so tired of the utterly nonsensical and VERY COMMON Sunni notion of 'I am happy to seek unity with Shias as long as they don't curse/insult/abuse any Sahaba, and especially NOT Aisha, Abu Bakr, Omar, Uthman. Firstly, any Shia claim regarding the sahabi that happens to go against the Sunni narrative is considered insulting. Secondly, and more importantly, is that the same notion is true for Shias... You are insulting the Ahlul Bayt by not accepting them as divinely appointed leaders of Allah, and infallible individuals, and perfect preservers of the religion of Islam, and a high means of seeking closeness to Allah (intercession). Not only are you insulting revered Shia figures by not following them, you are commiting MAJOR shirk by giving a false attribute to Allah, by saying that Allah has not always appointed an infallible leader on this Earth, and that there currently isn't an infallible leader. Furthermore, the real kicker is that plenty of revered Shia figures, such as Abu Talib (رضي الله عنه), are considered kuffar by Sunnis. Is this not insulting? So, how can we Shias unite with Sunnis based on their own fallacious logic? Shias are the minority, and Sunnis are the majority. It makes Sunnis think that they are Orthodox and that they have to unite with Heterodox for political and humanitarian reasons, and that Shias must make [ridiculous] compromises. Shias are far more receptive to the unity message, because we actually understand Sunni Islam, and can see the commonalities. We understand that we can't make Sunnis compromise on their beliefs. Simply by being the minority within Islam, by nature we Shias already understand Sunni beliefs, whereas Sunnis have a basic strawman understanding of Shia beliefs... which is natural, considering that they are the majority. Anyways, the point of my post is the following: Let's compile a list of revered Shia figures that are not given their proper status by Sunnis, according to Shia Islam... with an explanation given. ...This is to show that we Shias and Sunnis can unite, but we cannot unite upon revered figures and imamah. ...This will also serve as a way of showing Sunnis that this argument of theirs makes no sense. Another important question we may ask is "What about commonly revered figures like Imam Ali (عليه السلام) who is given different status in both sects? Can we unite upon Imam Ali (عليه السلام)?" ...a common Sunni criticism of political unity is that "Ali ibn Abi Talib (رضي الله عنه) is given an improper status in Shia religion because they call upon him... tawassul (intercession) of the 'dead' is Shirk! So there is absolutely no room for unity since we can't even agree on the status of the sahabi" [yes, I am aware that the Imams (عليه السلام) are still alive, but Sunnis don't believe this...] I would love to hear your thoughts. Wassalam. JazakAllah Khair. Fi sabilillah.
  4. Bismillah ar-rahman ar-rahim Assalamu alaykum jamian, I was wondering if we could list up the ahadith which mention the will of the blessed Prophet(S) about his successors. So far all our ahadith with the will testifies the words of the ansari shiites who believe in 12 mahdis. So far I have found three. “O Father of Al Hassan, bring me a leaf and a paper”, and he dictated his will until he came to a position where he said ”O Ali, there will be twelve Imams and after them there will be twelve Mahdi’s. You, O Ali, are the first of the twelve Imams, God has named you in his heavens Ali Al Mortada,The Prince of the believers, Grand truthful, the bright Farouq (Judge and differentiating between true and false), the trusted, and the Mahdi (rightly guided). These names may not be truly attributed to other than you. O Ali, you are my guardian on my own family, their living and their dead. My women, whom you maintain shall find me tomorrow, and whom you reject I am acquitted of her. I will not see her and she will not see me on the day of resurrection, and you are the successor (Khalifa) on my nation after me. If the day of death comes to you, hand it over to my son Hassan the very beneficial. Then if the day of death comes to him, let him hand it over to my son Al Hussein, the Martyr, the Pure and the Assassinated. If the day of death comes to him, let him hand it over to his son, the master of the servants and worshipers Ali.If the day of death comes to him, let him hand it over to his son, Mohamed Al Baqir. If the day of death comes to him, let him hand it over to his son, Jaâfar Al Sadiq (the honest). If the day of death comes to him, let him hand it over to his son, Moussa Al Kadhim (The Patient). If the day of death comes to him, let him hand it over to his son, Ali Al Reda.If the day of death comes to him, let him hand it over to his son, Mohamed Al Thiqa (The Trustworthy). If the day of death comes to him, let him hand it over to his son, Ali Al Nasih (The Advisor). If the day death of comes to him, let him hand it over to his son, Al Hassan Al Fadil. If the day of death comes to him, let him hand it over to his son, Mohammed the Mandate of the Holy Family of Mohamad Peace be upon them all. These are the twelve Imams. Then there will be twelve Mahdi’s after them. then when Allah receiveth him, let him hand it over to his son, the first of the close ones, he has three names, one like mine and my Father’s: Abdollah (Servant of God), Ahmad and the third name is The Mahdi (the guided) and he is the first Believer” (Ghaybat al-Tusi, p. 150) ÍÏËäÇ ÃÈí ÑÖí Çááå Úäå ÞÇá : ÍÏËäÇ ÓÚÏ Èä ÚÈÏ Çááå ÞÇá : ÍÏËäÇ ãÍãÏ ÇÈä ÇáÍÓíä Èä ÃÈí ÇáÎØÇÈ ¡ Úä ÇáÍÓä Èä ãÍÈæÈ ¡ Úä ÃÈí ÇáÌÇÑæÏ ¡ Úä ÃÈí ÌÚÝÑ Úáíå ÇáÓáÇã ¡ Úä ÌÇÈÑ Èä ÚÈÏ Çááå ÇáÃäÕÇÑí ÞÇá : ÏÎáÊ Úáì ÝÇØãÉ ÚáíåÇ ÇáÓáÇã æÈíä íÏíåÇ áæÍ Ýíå ÃÓãÇÁ ÇáÃæÕíÇÁ ÝÚÏÏÊ ÇËäí ÚÔÑ ÃÍÏåã ÇáÞÇÆã ¡ ËáÇËÉ ãäåã ãÍãÏ æËáÇËÉ ãäåã Úáí My father, may God be pleased with him, narrated to us, saying: Sa’ad bin Abdullah narrated to us saying: Muhammed bin al-Hussain bin al-Khattaab narrated to us from al-Hasan bin Mahboob from Abi’l Jarood from [imam] Abu Ja‘far [al-Baqir, peace be upon him] from Jabir ibn ‘Abdallah al-Ansari said:"Once I went to see Fatima (a) and I saw with her a tablet in which the names of the (al-awsiyaa’) executors of the wills were written. I then counted them to twelve. The last one’s name was al-Qa’im. The names of three of them was Muhammad and the names of another three was Ali. (al-Khisal Saduq, p. 477) And another from ghaybat Tusi which acts as a copy of the one from Khisal al-Saduq only that the one from Tusi mentions 12 names from sons of Fatimah in the will. Do we have more ahadith on the matter of the will tablet?
  5. In the Sahih of al-Bukhari, there is an interesting hadith where the Prophet (saw) stands up on the minbar and makes an unbelievable statement: Whoever wants to ask me any question, may do so, for by Allah, you will not ask me about anything but I will inform you of its answer as long as I am at this place of mine." On this, the Ansar wept violently, and Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) kept on saying, "Ask Me! " Then a man got up and asked, ''Where will my entrance be, O Allah's Messenger (ﷺ)?" The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "(You will go to) the Fire."... (https://sunnah.com/bukhari/96/25) Clearly, no one can make such statement unless he is either 1) A liar or 2) a divine proof sent by God. Now, who was the only other person that has stated a similar statement? None other than Imam Ali ibn Abi Talib (as). Abu al-Tufayl : I witnessed Ali, while giving a sermon, saying, “Ask me! By Allah, you will not ask me anything that will happen till the Hour except that I will inform you about it. Ask me about the Book of Allah! By Allah, there is not a single ayat (verse) in it except that I am the most knowledgeable as to whether it was revealed in the night or during the day, in the plain lands or amidst mountains. (http://discovershiaislam.blogspot.com/2012/01/imam-aliassalooni-salooni-kabla.html) So now we are left we are left with two options. Either 1) Imam Ali (as) is a Liar or 2) he is a divine proof sent by God. And May Allah Bless Muhammed and his Purified Progeny
  6. Asalamu alaikum, How many sons Jafar as-Sadiq had? And what is shia view of them? Were they all twelvers?
  7. Your thoughts on this? Dr. Abdol Karim Soroush, an Iranian scholar, a government official directly appointed by Khomeini, talking about Evolution of shiaism and finality of Prophet hood. 8. Question. What is the difference between Nabuwah and Imamah (Prophets and Imams) in terms of characteristics and Qualities? As there are many narrations in primary shia hadith books which are creating serious doubts. For e.g the following narration says like Messengers and Prophets, Aimah also receive revelations through angel Jibrail, with the only difference being Aimah only hear from Jibrail without seeing him. Here is one more confusing statement from Allama Majlisi.
  9. Salam Alaykum to you all, I have a simple question about the practicality of 12 Imams. Assume Allahs will goes to plan and Ali becomes the leader of the Ummah after the Prophet Peace be upon him, then he passes it onto Al Hassan, then to Al Hussain and so on. When we reach the 12th Imam, Imam Al Mahdi - what happens? He will not need to go into hiding, because no one is after his blood. So will he pass on the Imamate to a 13th Imam? Or will the world end after Imam Al Mahdi dies?
  10. Latest publication from the Boss: التدابير النبوية لحفظ الرسالة الإلهية (The Prophetic measures to save/protect the Divine Message & Khilafah) It is widely accepted by people with foresight and at least 3 brain cells, that prevention is more sensible than trying to find a cure. It is also accepted by all Muslims that the Holy Prophet (s), is the wisest being to have ever existed/will ever exist, in all universes, pre-history, post-history, across all dimensions, and all worlds. Therefore, one might assume, that he would adopt preventive measures to save the prophetic message in the face of the expected coup by the sick-hearted and brain-dead. This is what this book tries to present. A set of clear measures and carefully planned procedures, without which no evidence of authentic Mohammedan Islam would have remained today. http://archive.alhaydari.com/ebook/ar/tadabir.pdf (only 600 pages)
  11. Can anyone besides Allah have the power of creation even by the will of Allah ? Is this what is meant by wilayat-e takwini ? I consider such belief as shirk

  13. Salam. The Holy Qur'aan constitutes on two fundamental components; it's Tanzeel (Revelation) and Taweel (Exegesis). The Tanzil of the Holy Qur'aan is the revelation of it's verses and it's Taweel is the exegesis of those verses. Both components are combined together to complete the Holy Qur'aan and each one is dependent on the other. Moreover, one cannot be separated from the other in a sense that, one cannot conduct the Taweel (Exegesis) of the Qur'aan if there was no Tanzeel (Revelation) of it, because if we were to assume there was no Tanzeel, then there could not be any Taweel performed since there would be no verses to conduct the Taweel of to begin with. Like wise for the other way around, that is; if the Tanzeel of the Qur'aan occurred but there was no Taweel conducted on it, then the Holy Qur'aan would be an ambiguous codex scripture which cannot be understood to benefit mankind. With that being said, up to this point, we can affirm that the Holy Qur'aan does not consist of solely the Tanzeel, but rather it has both the Tanzeel along with Taweel working hand in hand to complete. 14. Salam. In this article we shall be examining the concept of the twelve Imams (a.s) from the perspective of the so-called 'Ahl ul Sunnah,' using their own academic sources. It is established that both Shi'a Ithna Ashari (twelvers) and Sunnis agree that there will be twelve leaders (a.s) after the Prophet (saw), however, they do not agree on who those twelve are. 15. Salam. Necessity For Allah's [swt] Proof Upon Earth The opponents of the followers of the Ahlulbayt (a.s) protest that the Shi'a consider the Imam necessary in order to present and explain the injunctions and importance of religion and to guide the people, thus occultation of the Imam (a.s) is the negation of this very purpose, for an Imam in occultation who cannot be reached by mankind cannot be in any way beneficial or effective. It must be said that such people have not really understood the meaning of the Imam. The role of the Imam is not only the explanation of the religious sciences and external guidance of the people. But the Imam also bears the function of "Walayah" and the internal guidance of the human. Read here: http://www.revisitingthesalaf.org/2014/10/imam-al-mahdi-ajf-part-ii.html
  16. Ali didnt know/understand that he was appointed by the Prophet s.a.w at Ghadeer khum as the successor, but the Shias do. May be the Shias are smarter than Ali :P Sahih Bukhari Vol. 8, Book 74, Hadith 282: Narrated by Ibn Abbas: `Ali bin Abi Talib came out of the house of the Prophet () during his fatal ailment. The people asked (`Ali), "O Abu Hasan! How is the health of Allah's Messenger () this morning?" `Ali said, "This morning he is better, with the grace of Allah." Al-`Abbas held `Ali by the hand and said, "Don't you see him (about to die)? By Allah, within three days you will be the slave of the stick (i.e., under the command of another ruler). By Allah, I think that Allah's Messenger () will die from his present ailment, for I know the signs of death on the faces of the offspring of `Abdul Muttalib. So let us go to Allah's Messenger () to ask him who will take over the Caliphate. If the authority is given to us, we will know it, and if it is given to somebody else we will request him to recommend us to him. " `Ali said, "By Allah! If we ask Allah's Messenger () for the rulership and he refuses, then the people will never give it to us. Besides, I will never ask Allah's Messenger for it." With regards to the hadith prophesying the coming of the 12 Caliphs from the Quraish, it is a PROOF that the 12 Imams of the shias are not what the Prophet meant in his Prophecy because only 2 of the 12 imams became Caliphs, and one of them Al Hassan r.a. gave the Caliphate to Muawiyah r.a. So I think that the Shias here are not reading history properly.
  17. Salam. I have been getting questions from many lately. I will just summarize and list the questions here. Any answer, article, podcast, speech links will be appreciated. So, I can refer the people here in the future. Thanks. What is Salawat? And what does it mean? And why Quran 33:56 orders us to send blessings upon the Prophet? Isn't it to take men of God before God, some kind of idol-worshipping? Why does God order in Quran to remember Him always, yet Prophets and Saints with Him? Why should we always send blessings on the Prophet and his progeny? What is the philosophy behind it? Isn't it idolizing Anbiya (Prophets) and Aimmah (Imams)? What is the reason of acceptance and remembrance of Prophets and Saints being so important? And is "remembering" and "worshipping" God without knowing and remembering the messages of Prophets and Saints, that is, "worshipping" God as we like to worship, but not as God wants to be worshipped legal? In summary, what is the reason of Prophethood and Sainthood being a principle of faith? And why does Quran always criticize people, especially Jews, for disbelieving and killing the Prophets? the reason I am asking is, Jews, and even some Muslims claim that accepting and remembering Prophets and Saints is some kind of idol-worshipping? In other words, either out of trying to legitimize their denial of Prophets and Saints, or out of jealousy (like, why do people remember them but not me? So, I should criticize their "idols" and become their focus.) they do this. I don't know. I just wanted to open a thread on it, so that, you adress this issue (the philosophy of acceptance of Nubuwwah/Prophethood and Imamah/Sainthood and the sicknesses of denying them). And inshaAllah it will help us all. Thanks in advance.
  18. Salam, According to Sunnis: ''It is impossible to understand and act by Quran without Ahadith.'' So, Why do you (Sunni/Salafis) have problem when Shiites are giving you explanations about Imamah from Usool al-Kafi?
  19. Short biography of Imam Al-Hadi (as) on occasion of his Martyrdom: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IfufFIQPVIE&feature=youtu.be
  20. Assalamu Alaykum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh In Shia Sunni dialogue we usually try to convince the other party with our proof. Sometimes though we do agree on a hadith or a verse tafsir but we will disagree on the conclusion. This is mostly because we both are following 2 different methodology in dealing with the proofs. One of these situations is the situation where Shia are asked to prove Imamh from Quran. There are many verses that Shia will interpret as a proof for Welayiah but Sunnis will reject that conclusion. The verse will not be the issue of disagreement, nor the hadith that carries its tafsir, we will be accepting both as authentic, yet we will disagree on the conclusion. The question is though, should we reject all hadiths that their meaning dose not fit with tha'hir alquran?( the superficial meaning of Quran)
  21. Can someone provide me with some valid/authentic hadith that imamah is real? Also, i need an explanation because what i understand is that supposedly the spirit of Prophethood was passed down from Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) to Ali, then to Hussain and so on and so on. Is this correct?
  22. (salam) NB: I posted this on another forum some time in the past. It is the usual claim of the Ahl al-Sunnah that the appointment of Khaleefahs is in the hands of the Ummah. To them, Allaah never interferes in issues concerning the Khilaafah. Whomsoever the people vote for (like in modern democracies) or that is appointed by the last Khaleefah, or who conquers the Islaamic state by force of arms, is His choice too! The various Sunnee methods of appointing Khaleefahs have produced none but drunkards and war criminals. But, the Ahl al-Sunnah do not bulge. To them, it is Allaah's Wisdom that it is they who should appoint their own Khaleefahs, or that the previous Khaleefah should appoint the next, or that a rebel leader should be able to seize power and become the legitimate Khaleefah after toppling the reigning Khaleefah! So unfortunately for them, they can never trace their heretical doctrine about Imaamah to any part of the Qur'aan or authentic Sunnah! None of their 'ulamaa has ever attempted to justify their various "accepted" modes of appointment of the Khaleefah through the Book of Allaah and the reliable Sunnah. They are all fully aware of the complete lack of proofs for their positions. But, they are confronted with the coming of Imaam al-Mahdee (as). Will the honourable Imaam (as) be appointed by the masses in popular elections? Or, will he chosen by Allaah in the same way that He chose His prophets (the Shee'ah argument)? Shaykh al-Albaanee in his al-SaHeeHah, vol. 4, p. 38, # 1529 records that the Messenger of Allaah said (pbuh): لتملأن الأرض جورا و ظلما , فإذا ملئت جورا و ظلما , بعث الله رجلا مني , اسمه اسمي , فيملؤها قسطا و عدلا , كما ملئت جورا و ظلما The earth will be filled completely with evil deeds and injustice. When it is fully filled with evil deeds and injustice, ALLAAH WILL APPOINT A MAN FROM ME, his name will be the same as my name, and he will re-fill it completely with equity and justice, just as it was previously filled completely with evil deeds and injustice. Al-Albanee grades the Hadeeth as SaHeeH. So, it is Allaah who appoints Imaam al-Mahdee (as)? Interestingly, the word used for the manner of appointment of Imaam al-Mahdee (as) is the SAME used for the appointment of the prophets (as) in the Qur'aan. For instance, Allaah states (2:213): كَانَ النَّاسُ أُمَّةً وَاحِدَةً فَبَعَثَ اللَّهُ النَّبِيِّينَ مُبَشِّرِينَ وَمُنذِرِينَ Humanity was one Ummah. Then Allaah APPOINTED prophets to give glad tidings and to warn. The Book of Allaah also states (16:36): وَلَقَدْ بَعَثْنَا فِي كُلِّ أُمَّةٍ رَّسُولًا أَنِ اعْبُدُوا اللَّهَ وَاجْتَنِبُوا الطَّاغُوتَ ۖ And verily, We have APPOINTED among every Ummah a Messenger (proclaiming): "Worship Allaah (Alone), and avoid the Taaghoot. It is obvious now that Imaam al-Mahdee (as) is appointed in the same manner as the prophets and messengers (as), with the exception that he is only an Imaam, a Khaleefah. This reality tells us that Khaleefahs, prophets and messengers are appointed in the same manner by the same Allaah! I wonder where the Ahl al-Sunnah will hide after this.
  23. (salam) I found this beautiful admission by the Ahl al-Sunnah on what really happened at Ghadeer Khumm: “According to the elders of our family, namely Mawlana Ghulam ‘Ali Qadiri, in his Mishkaat an-Nabuwat, the Prophet’s declaring Hadrat ‘Ali as the Master (Mawla) of all Believers was the statement which identified Hadrat ‘Ali as the possessor of the Khilafat i-Akbar (Major Khilafah). Hadrat ‘Ali was appointed by Rasulullah (S) as a Khalifa, while Hadrat Abu Bakr was appointed by Hadrat Umar as a Khalifa. While both Khilafahs are valid, they are not the same”. http://ahmedamiruddi...-the-shaykhayn/ Does any Sunnee here think these people made a mistake? If yes, what are your reasons? Thanks.
