Prominent French member of Ahlul Bayt World Assembly passes away / Pics https://en.abna24.com/news//prominent-french-member-of-Ahlul Bayt-world-assembly-passes-away-pics_972066.html August 27, 2019 - 5:41 PM News Code : 972066 Source : ABNA24, IQNALink: Dr... Yahya Bono, an active and French member of the Ahlul Bayt World Assembly, passed away in Ivory Coast. Ahlul Bayt News Agency (ABNA): Dr... Yahya Bono, an active and French member of the Ahlul Bayt World Assembly and translator who rendered the Holy Qur'an into French passed away in Ivory Coast. He was off to the Africa to carry out the Muharram propaganda program and died in a marine accident on Monday at Ivory Coast. Yahya Bono was a prominent figure in the fields of Qur'anic sciences, philosophy and mysticism and was a Shiite translator and author who was a defender of the privacy of Islam and the Islamic Revolution of Iran. Bonaud was born into a Catholic French family in the German city of Freiburg in 1957. He lived in Germany and Algeria until the age of 10 and then moved to the French city of Strasburg. He got interested in oriental religions and started studying works on these religions, making trips to different countries like Spain, Morocco, Italy, Belgium, the Netherlands, and Germany. He then studied the works of French Muslim philosopher Rene Guenon and inspired by his works embraced Islam in 1979, changing his name to Yahya. Bonaud got his PhD from the French University of Sorbonne in 1995. His dissertation titled “Theology in Imam Khomeini’s Philosophical and Mystical works” was selected as the research of the year in 1999. When working on his thesis, Bonaud came to Iran and studied Islamic philosophy and mysticism with Sayyed Jalal Ashtiani in Mashhad. Due to his deep devotion to Imam Reza (عليه السلام), Bonaud lived in Mashhad for 15 years and was recognized as a servant of Imam Reza (عليه السلام) in 2001. In recent years, he worked on his post-doctoral degree featuring Mulla Sadra’s Al-Hikmat Al-Muta'liya (transcendent theosophy). He also translated the Qur'an into the French language. There are more than 30 translations of the Holy Qur'an in French. Some of these renditions, especially the earlier ones done by orientalists, are no lacking in ideological prejudices. Some others have weaknesses in content and conveying the message of the Qur'an. The third group, rendered by Muslims themselves, are not fluent in French. Hence, Bonaud and Javad Hadidi, a seminary scholar who has a PhD in French language and literature, embarked on translating the Qur'an at the invitation of the Tarjoman-e Vahy (translation of revelation) Institute. They aimed to present a new rendering of the Qur'an in French that is free from weaknesses other renderings have. The translation by Bonaud and Hadidi is the result of three years of joint efforts. It has been published in 624 pages and includes explanations about Surahs Fatiha and Baqara, word-for-word translation of the verses, a brief account of the studies about certain words or verses, and an Arabic-French glossary. The two made efforts not to be influenced by previous translations and to translate the Qur'an using Qur'an exegeses and Arabic sources, which has been unprecedented in Qur'an translation into European languages. His body will be transferred to Iran's Mashhad for funeral and burial. https://www.imamreza.net/old/eng/imamreza.php?id=6988 https://rahyafteha.ir/72182/یحیی-بونو-سرمایه-تشیع-در-اروپا-بود/ http://iqna.ir/en/news/2490158/researchers-from-different-faiths-attending-al-mustafa-university’s-course- https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Christian_Bonaud

  5. Salam Aleykum, I have seen many reverts many times asking for an online version of the holy Quran. Here is a good site with an online Quran, there are different reciters and you can follow the english translation as it highlights the ayah being recited. InshaAllah it will be of use, all credit goes to our honored sister @Sumayyeh for supplying the link. http://tanzil.net/#trans/en.sahih/1:1 Fi amanillah.

Gathering of information is by this priority: From the Holy Quran Ahadith of Ahl al-Bait Peace upon Them What our Maraje say based on aql and naql of course Any speech from a scholar in your community, this includes your virtual community also, try to find one speech lo. Any books in any language is also welcome, on this topic both from Maraje and high scholars and other researches that is Muslims.
  7. Can someone please give me the reason and tafseer behind this ayah: نِسَآؤُكُمۡ حَرۡثٌ لَّـكُمۡ فَاۡتُوۡا حَرۡثَكُمۡ اَنّٰى شِئۡتُمۡ Your wives are your tilth; go, then, into your tilth as you wish
  8. Wikipedia has a webpage of the English translation of the Holy Qur'an by Abdullah Yusuf Ali, so I looked at it and thought this will be useful to quickly look up surahs and ayahs. I decided to click on 33:33 which is one of our beloved ayahs about Ahlul Bayt AS. Using my home computer with mouse, I clicked on Surah 33 and I saw the table of ayah numbers and the color of ayah 33 looked a little bit different than all the other ayah numbers. At first I thought somebody else already clicked on that ayah so that is why it looks different. Then I noticed that you cannot click on it, like somebody doesn't want you to read it! How strange! If you want to see 33:33, you have to physically scroll down the page until you find ayah 33. If you are using your phone, can you click on 33:33? Can anyone explain this? Is this an example of kufr in the modern time, right in front of our faces, to try to cover up ayah 33 of Surah 33? :donno: http://wikiislam.net/wiki/The_Holy_Quran_-_Abdullah_Yusuf_Ali
  9. Sahih International Say, "I am not something original among the messengers, nor do I know what will be done with me or with you. I only follow that which is revealed to me, and I am not but a clear warner." Pickthall Say: I am no new thing among the messengers (of Allah), nor know I what will be done with me or with you. I do but follow that which is inspired in me, and I am but a plain warner. Yusuf Ali Say: "I am no bringer of new-fangled doctrine among the messengers, nor do I know what will be done with me or with you. I follow but that which is revealed to me by inspiration; I am but a Warner open and clear." Shakir Say: I am not the first of the messengers, and I do not know what will be done with me or with you: I do not follow anything but that which is revealed to me, and I am nothing but a plain warner " And i do not know what will be done with me" Do we have tafsir from the imams?
