This is one of the most controversial topic in Islamic History. I took the time to research and bring together a thread over the complete story. We are not trying to dive in on how Abu Bakr usurped the Caliphate or how the Saqīfa went down. Just the attack on the house. It starts with Ali Ibn Abi Talib (عليه السلام) not wanting to give allegiance, he wasn’t the only one who opposed Abu Bakr, (The people who opposed the pledge to Abu Bakr) “Ali, Abbas, Zubayr, and Sa’d Ibn Ubada...” Al Aqd al Farid, Ibn Abd al Bar al Andlusi, Vol.5, P.13 "...He (A

Assalaam Malaikum brothers and sisters, On the evening of 16 Shaban 1441 (April 9, 2020 I believe) I had the following dream: I dreamt I saw Imam Ali bin Abu Talib (عليه السلام) at my place of work. I saw him and felt strongly it was him although he stood between 1 and a half foot - to 2 foot tall. I was walking towards him and saw him looking at me - but I couldn't make out any distinguishing features or even colors of his garb - it was as if he was suspended off the ground about a foot high. He wore a robe with a belt and sash along with a sword. Next to him I saw a small girl (like she w

Praise and Eulogy for the Lord and Witness of the Unity of Allah and the Prophethood of Muhammad She started her speech by saying: “Praise be to Allah for His bounties (upon us) and thanks be to Him for all that He inspired; and commended is His name for all the bounties He created before our own creation, for all the common bounties that He bestowed (upon us) from His Ownself without even (our) asking for it, and abundant and complete bounties, such plenteous and unlimited bounties whose numbers cannot be computed, and thanks cannot be offered for the duration and commencement (of the bou

The first part of a multiple part series looking into the incident of the door, made over the past few weeks by a Shi'i brother in Morocco. In this first video, he explores the narration of Umar's threat in the musannaf of Ibn Abi Shayba. He refutes Uthman Al-Khamees' attempt to weaken the narration, and demonstrates how others who have reported the same narration have omitted Umar's words in different ways such as cutting it short and saying there is "a story", or reporting that Umar said "so and so" etc.

Salam! Did Imam Ali (as) love Um al baneen like he loved Fatima al zahra? Or did he marry her just so that she could take care of Imam Hussein and imam Hassan?

As-Salaam Alaykum, I have recently read an article on the website of Ayatollah Khamenei (khamenei.it) wherein he has stated that 'It's not allowed to insult the Sunni.' I have always been an advocate for taqleed and Marja's, but it's this type of opinion that disenchants & turns our very own youth against the principles of Taqlid. On the face, it seems very broad however after studying the article it's clear that it's aimed at preventing the lanat as it's deemed as 'insulting' to the Sunni Muslims. Furthermore, after having read the mentioned article it's very unclear w

Salam guys and thank in advance for helping with this, It is my understanding that the Shia' believe the Prophet SAW had only one daughter (Fatima Az Zuhra)? I'd like to be able to reconcile this point to see what their rationale is. 1. If the Prophet SAW wasn't the father of Ruqayyah, Umm Kulthum, and Zaynab, then who was? 2. If Umm Kulthum, Ruqayyah, Zeinab, were called as Umm Kulthum bint Muhammad and Ruqayyah as bint Muhammad etc., why did not their names/references change like in the case of Zaid ibn Harith, who was formerly known as Zaid ibn Muhammad? As you know, up

What actually happened after the 'incident of the door?' - How did Imam Ali approach this situation, and was any sort of revenge for this sought?

Salam brothers and sisters, As Ayyam e Fatimiyya go by, I thought that I share some information about tasbeeh Fatima Zahra. Origins Imam Ali ibn Talib (as), Fatimah Zahra's husband, once told Ibn Wahid a story about Prophet Muhammad's (pbuh) most beloved daughter. Imam Ali ibn Talib (as) said, Fatimah Zahra's (pbuh) hands were blistered from constant grinding; her neck had become sore from carrying water; her clothes would become dirty from sweeping the floor. When Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) had received an influx of servants from some place, Imam Ali ibn Talib (as) suggested

Salam We all agree that who ever does not know the Imam of his time dies a death of Jahiliya (ignorance). What do our Sunni brothers think about Fatima (as)? She didn't accept Abo Bakr as her Imam, what is her position?

So-called Muslims like Ibn Taymiyyah claim that – Allah forbid – Fatima Zahra (s.a.) was wrong in her claim over Fadak. At any rate, she should not have severed all communication from Abu Bakr and Umar. They were the rulers (haakim) of the time and she should have been cordial with them. Reply There is an interesting incident on the subject. At the end, readers can easily conclude whether Fatima Zahra (s.a.) was right or wrong and the message she sent across generations of Muslims by refusing to communicate with Abu Bakr and Umar. Being an infallible, there was complete wisdom in her stand t
