  1. Bismehe Ta3ala, Assalam Alikum. On the commemoration of the 40th of Imam Hussain 3la salam I would like to share with you all Hajj Mahmoud Karimi. Below are four nohays and one majlis 3za2. All have english subtitles. If you are going to watch majlis 3za2 make sure the tissues are near. I am Dying for You This is an eulogy about the tragedy of Karbala recited by Haaj Mahmood Karimi in which he relates the greatness of this tragedy upon Lady Zainab -s- who was taken as a prisoner along with the rest of the women and paraded in the streets of Kufa and Shaam.

  7. Salamun Alykum dear brothers and Sisters in faith. May Allah help you succeed. Can anyone of you help me to learn Persian (Farsi) with best resources available (if you know that they exist, I couldn't find any). I am from India and I know Hindi, Arabic, English and Urdu. (I can read but don't understand Arabic). I want to learn Farsi for these reasons. 1. I love Islamic Republic and InshaAllah when I visit there in coming years I wanted to talk and learn more about Islamic Republic, Revolution and the Holy Defense Era. 2. To read Local News in Farsi of Iran.

  10. Salam Alaikum wa Rahmatullah wa Barakatu Dear brothers and sisters, if one of you could transliterate this noha in english, I would be extremely grateful.
Salam Many of my friends found this Noha so nice and touching but I found it an irrelevant and not appropriate Noha. I just don't understand why they chose such an irrelevant poem. Just listen to the singer!!! when he sings: "you should go under the rain!" it is a part of a poem written by "Sohrab Sepehri" who is a contemporary poet and has nothing to do with Muharram or even religion.

  21. I created this topic to share spiritual Farsi poems. These poems have very deep meanings, so if every one can trasnlate any of them I'll be grateful.
  22. Hello everyone, I'm new here and hope someone would be kind enough to help me as I was recommended this is the place to come. I am getting married and wish to have a poem by Rumi as part of the ceremony. I want it read in both English and Farsi as my fiancé is from Iranian background and I thought it would be really nice to have both the original script and the translation (so everyone else who isn't Farsi speaking understands). I want the poem 'The most alive moment'. I can't find it anywhere is Farsi and I really want the original not simply a Google translate that I can easily do myself. I

Also if there is more than one word for the same meaning please list them. Thank

Because of the differences in languages, the English subtitles just won't help me. When it says "cousin" in the subtitle for example, I need to know which cousin, is it referring to a boy or a girl and whose child it is, the uncle or the aunt and which uncle and which aunt. lol. Thus I need to know all the family members in Persian. Could you guys teach them all? If yes, here's a silly family tree: I'll be glad if you fill in the
