Salaam people so I have a question and it's quite important. I just finished school, but when I was in grade 6 or 7 I don't exactly remember I used to take food from my canteen, the school tuck shop and tell the person who was handling that tuck shop that I'll pay him later. Now, the problem here is that I didn't repay the money, also I was young then so I didn't think much about it. Now when I was thinking about school(my school ended this year) I remembered about this, but the tuck shop person has changed and there are new people there so what should I do? How do I get rid of this burden I have been carrying for 3/4 years now? Cause I don't know where the old people are. BTW I was baligh back then in grade 7.
Salaam, I have invested in mutual funds for tax saving purposes. What should I do with the returns that I receive when I exit? In mututal funds returns are generated by mainly two types of asset classes: 1. Debt 2. Equity I am planning to segregate the return as follows: 1. Proportion of return that pertains to debt - (if my Mutual fund has say, 40% of its asset allocation in debt, 40% of the total return, I'll give away to charity) 2. Balance return earned from equity - Out of the balance 60% (i'll check in the asset allocation holding of the relevant mutual fund portfolio if there are any stocks which deal in haraam items - such as intoxicating drinks, pork, etc.) % held in haraam stocks will be subtracted and I'll retain the balance income. (For example, out of 60% of equity, 5% of the asset allocation pertains to Kingfisher (into intoxicating drinks), 5% of the overall return that I generate shall be given to charity and balance 55% will be retained. Please advise if the above is permissible (I do taqleed of Ayatullah Seestani's).
I keep seeing that all the nations, even UK and USA are in debt and I used to think everyone was in debt to the US but now I see even the US is in debt. Who are these nations in debt to? where do they get the loan from?
