(salam), We're already half-way through the tournament and still no thread?! :o Where are all the patriotic Indian and Paki cricket fanatics out there? Here are the team standings for the Group 8 stage: http://www.espncrici...iew=pointstable And of course mother of all matches today... India vs Pakistan at 14 GMT. Follow the live score-card here. There are several websites that are showing live streaming of the matches (Link1, Link2) India will probably have to win its next two matches to qualify for the semis sitting at the bottom of its group and with a net run rate of -2.506 (the lowest runrate, unfortunately, of both groups), having taken a harsh beating from Australia in its last match. If Australia wins today (2nd inning going on just now vs New Zealand!!) and Pakistan beat India, then Australia and Pakistan go through to the semis. Pakistan, being the most unpredictable team of the tournament has the numbers in its favor having beaten India in the warmup match. But India has proved in the past that statistics matter little when it bashed the Pakistani team in the ODI WorldCup semis last year. Let's see what happens! :D Can't wait. Good luck to both teams (I'm especially rooting for Yuvraj on the Indian side because lots of fans and experts seem to be insisting upon dropping him from the team!) Go team green!

Congratulations Pakistan defeated England in all three matches to make a clean sweep of the three-Test series against England at Dubai International Cricket Stadium on Monday. Pakistan, who were bowled out for 99 in their first innings, became the first team to win a Test after being dismissed for under 100 since England, dismissed for 76 in the first innings, beat South Africa by 53 runs at Leeds in 1907. It was England's seventh series whitewash, their first at the hands of Pakistan. Their last series whitewash came in 2007 when they were routed by Australia 5-0. Pakistan have now recorded five series whitewashes, their last coming in a 3-0 win over Bangladesh in 2003.

Pakistan made clean sweep in the two-match Test series defeating Bangladesh by seven wickets on the fifth and final day of the second and final Test here at the Shere Bangla National Stadium Wednesday. Pakistan had won the first Test in Chittagong by an innings and 184 runs and by winning the second Test they improved their ICC Test ranking from sixth to fifth. Chasing an easy target of 103 runs, Pakistan completed the second successive victory before tea break. In the process, they lost openers Mohammad Hafeez (47) and Taufiq Umar (3) and one-down batsman Azhar Ali (34) while Younis Khan and skipper Misbah-ul-Haq remained unbeaten on 16 and six, respectively. Earlier, Pakistan bowled out Bangladesh for 234 runs in the second innings an hour after lunch. Pakistan made 470 in their first innings in reply to Bangladesh's 338.
