I believe that the Afterlife is not just for Humans and Jinn, but also for animals. Yes, your favourite pet cat that died will be brought back to life, and who knows, you may be reunited! I believe this for 2 reasons. Firstly, justice and mercy seem to require that animals be compensated for the suffering they endured on Earth. After all, many animals lived very difficult lives, full of pain and suffering. Secondly, a number of verses in the Qur'an seem to point to an Afterlife for animals. In the context of the end of the world, and the Day of Judgement, verse 81:5 says: و إذا الوحوش حشرت And when the wild animals are gathered together (hushirat) - Al-Takwir, 81:5 Allamah Tabataba'i in Al-Mizan says: و ظاهر الآية من حيث وقوعها في سياق الآيات الواصفة ليوم القيامة أن الوحوش محشورة كالإنسان، و يؤيده قوله تعالى: «و ما من دابة في الأرض و لا طائر يطير بجناحيه إلا أمم أمثالكم ما فرطنا في الكتاب من شيء ثم إلى ربهم يحشرون»: الأنعام: 38. The apparent meaning of this verse based on the place of its occurrence, and the context of verses describing the events of The Day of Judgement, is that the wild animals are also (brought back to life and) gathered (mah-shoora) just like human beings. This is supported by the verse: There is not an animal that walks upon the Earth, nor a bird that flies with its two wings, except that they form communities like your own; We have neglected nothing in the Book. Then to their Lord shall they be gathered (yuh-sharoon) - Al-An'am, 6:38. (Tafsir Al-Mizan, chapter on Surah Al-Takwir)

I went for a walk, and just so happened to look up and see a bird I've never seen before. I knew it was probably an owl of some sort, so when I got back home I looked up "species of owl in Florida" and it's apparently a short-eared owl. These are rare and elusive birds, so I'm not sure what it was doing in my neighborhood of all places, perched on the power lines. I tried to get a quick picture of it with my phone, but it flew off. Isn't Allah's (سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى) creation beautiful and amazing? I love seeing rare birds. My profile picture is a species of rare bird (for Florida) that was in my yard a while back (Indigo Bunting). I haven't seen one since.

Of course, as Muslims, we believe nothing is without purpose. But what is the purpose of creating soooo many lifeless, uninhabited planets? We know that rocks are alive since they talked to Rasulullah so are atoms and planets are also alive in a way we don’t know and do they communicate with Allah? Why did God create animals? They aren’t as smart as us and are not as conscious, some of the animals do very disgusting things. If it’s for them to worship God then how do animals pray to God, is it simply through going about their daily lives? What about plants or insects? What about parasites , viruses or the filarial nematode illness Onchocercosis, which is second most common infective cause of blindness in the world? What about the notorious “vestigial organs” such as the bottom of the spine, male breasts or the forscin (excuse my language) which we have to cut after God has created it? Do these have a purpose or did they once have a purpose and now they are redundant? Jazakumullahu Khayran

Throughout history, humans have been able to communicate with animals and form unique and beautiful bonds. What sort of communication do you have with your animals? If any. What sort of communication levels would you like to reach with an animal at one point? This video is an interesting and funny example: Fix your ears- Horse responds Bite him- Horse responds Get up! - Camel responds Go on jump - Kid goat jumps Come quick quick - Horse responds Tells horse to look at him and asks a question - Horse looks and nods Blows - Horse blows back lol

Cats have a high status in Islam at least from what I've heard it's permissable to own cats as pets and they are free to walk into mosques? My question is why it's haram to have the most loyal pet and the best friend of man (dogs) as pets and why they are being treated badly in majority-muslim countries when it clearly doesn't say anything about it in the Qur'an and there are hadiths and verses in Qur'an where they are talked about in a good way: Verse 5:4 says "Lawful for you are all good things, and [the prey] that trained [hunting] dogs and falcons catch for you." Qur'an Verse 18:18 describes the Companions of the Cave, a group of saintly young men presented in the Qurʼan as exemplars of religion, sleeping with "their dog stretching out its forelegs at the threshold." Qur'an Islamic fatāwā, or rulings, enjoin that dogs be treated kindly or else be freed. The historian William Montgomery Watt states that Muhammad's kindness to animals was remarkable; he cites an instance of Muhammad, while traveling with his army to Mecca in 630 CE, posting sentries to ensure that a female dog and her newborn puppies were not disturbed.[36] On the other hand, in a tradition found in the Sunni hadith book al-Muwatta’, Muhammad is reported as saying that the company of dogs voids a portion of a Muslim's good deeds.[37] However, in "two separate narrations by Abu Hurayrah, the Prophet told his companions of the virtue of saving the life of a dog by giving it water and quenching its thirst. One story referred to a man who was blessed by Allah for giving water to a thirsty dog, the other was a prostitute who filled her shoe with water and gave it to a dog, who had its tongue rolling out from thirst. For this deed she was granted the ultimate reward, the eternal Paradise under which rivers flow, to live therein forever." Here some hadiths contradicts eachother and what does shia hadiths say about this?

Do you think it is Haram to bring back an Extinct Animal such as the wolly mammoth which is looking to be more of a possibility. Have our Ayatollah's discussed such a topic? DNA of a Wolly Mammoth has already been merged with an Elephants: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/science/science-news/11488404/Woolly-mammoth-could-roam-again-as-extinct-DNA-merged-with-elephant.html Could we use this method to save the different species of soon to be extinct animals.

Salaam Alaykum, Thanks for reading this post. I was wondering if there is a hadith regarding the taking care and planting of trees (even a hadith against cutting trees) ? Also, if there is a hadith on how we should treat animals. I have heard something before, but I am not sure about the exact hadith. Any help would be much appreciated. Ma'salaam

About death how much heedless you are When a soozanik (a bird) cries he says: There is no God but Allah, Muhammad (S) and his offsprings are the selection of Allah When a robin coos, she says: O the only One! O the Unique! O the Singular who is independent, absolute When a roller cries he says: O my Lord! Set me free from the fire of Hell When a lark chirps he says: O my Lord! Forgive every sin of the sinners When a warshan (a bird) cries he says: If You would not forgive me I will be unfortunate When a ray (a fish) mutes he says: There is no power except Allah's who is ever exalted and ever majestic When an ostrich cries she says: There is no lord except Allah deserving to be worshiped When a swift chirps she recites the chapter of al- Hamd and then she says: O acceptor of the repentance from those who repent, O Lord! When a scorpion cries he says: The most evil thing is loneliness al- Husain (as) mentioned that Allah has not created anything but it has its own glorification by which he praises his Lord. At that time Imam recited this Qur'anic verse al-Qur'an - Chapter 17, Verse 44). There isn't anything, which is not glorifying His praise, but you do not have a perception of it . Ref : Narrated in 64th volume of Biharul-Anwar by al-Majlisi (AR) from the book al-Kharaij (by Sayyid Hibatullah Rawandi) (wasalam)

My friend and I where having a discussion about religion and we talked about his religion, Hinduism, he stated that animals have a right and you shouldn't eat them. Also its wrong for you to eat them because animals are created by God and they have a right to live. That's what Islam is missing, they don't give rights to animals. I told him God created animals for us to eat and get our nutrients and so animals wont get over populated and die off from starvation. Now, I want to bring up another rebuttal to strengthen my argument. If anyone want can help.. thanks
