Nevin Yildirim is sitting in a Turkish jail for killing her alleged rapist. Just a few days ago the 26-year-old admitted to shooting her husband's cousin--who she alleges raped her--in the penis, beheading him, and then dropping his head on the ground in the town square. "Yildirim said [Nurettin] Gider threatened her with a gun and said he would kill her children, ages 2 and 6, if she made any noise ... That was the first of repeated rapes over the next eight months," reads CNN's report. The news agency is apparently talking to a "source close to the case" and Yildrim had her preliminary hearing on August 30. And according to Turkish news agency DHA, Yildirim's alleged rapist reportedly threatened to publish photos he took of Yildirim's pregnant body if she did not do as he said. CNN doesn't say what kind of punishment Yildirim could face and legal pundits tell them a self-defense plea could be used, but it does shed light in Yildirim's own words, of what happened when her alleged rapist tried to rape her one last time on August 28. CNN writes: She said she grabbed her father-in-law's rifle that was hanging on the wall and she shot him. He tried to draw his gun and she fired again. "I chased him," she said. "He fell on the ground. He started cussing. I shot his sexual organ this time. He became quiet. I knew he was dead. I then cut his head off." There's also this image, which would be fit for a Tarantino film if it were fiction (but it isn't and it's totally horrifying): "Don't talk behind my back, don't play with my honor," Yildirim said to the men sitting in the coffee house on the square. "Here is the head of the man who played with my honor."

Visiting the Malakut of the heavens and the earth with the eye of the heart is a prologue to attaining the high status of intuition of certitude. . (So also We show Abraham the power and the laws of the heavens and the earth, that he might (with understanding) have certitude.) (Al An'am: 75) . The Holy Prophet (s) is quoted as saying: . "If it were not that devils are dominant over the hearts of human beings, they would be witnessing the Malakut." All those who have been delivered from the snares of nafs and Satan, by tearing apart the heart's veils, are able to observe the Malakut of the heavens and the earth, and to bear witness to the Oneness of the Sacred Essence of God. . What have you done for God's Sake? . One of the Shaykh's children related the following account: 'One day my father and I went to Bibi Shahrbano. . On the way we ran into an ascetic, and my father asked him: . "What has been the outcome of your (ascetic) self-discipline?" . The ascetic bowed down and picked up a stone from the ground. The stone turned into a pear and he offered it to my father, saying: 'Here you are, help yourself! . My father cast a glance at him and said: . "You did this for me, let me know what you have done for God?!" Hearing this, the ascetic burst into tears!; .. Once again I will say I cannot stress the importance of reading this book, it will change your lives, If you cannot be bothered to read it just read a few pages, it is not like an ordinary chapter book where you sit reading for hours, it is just many different bits of advice and examples that happened in real life that will help you leave the love of the Dunya and love nothing save Allah s.w.t .
