Before anyone says that they are kafir or non-Muslim etc, this cannot be true because their shahada is same as any Sunni Muslim. To be a Muslim you have to agree to this shahada: لَا إِلٰهَ إِلَّا الله مُحَمَّدٌ رَسُولُ الله (lā ʾilāha ʾillā l-Lāh, Muḥammadun rasūlu l-Lāh) There is no god but God, Muhammad is the messenger of God. Only difference is that they believe that Mirza Ghulam Ahmad was a Mahdi. I believe that technically the Ahmadiyya Muslims are Sunni Muslim, it is one of the branch of Sunni sect because it inherits majority of its teaching from Sunni school. Bear in mind that technically a certain branch comes under a certain sect according to whatever its teaching is inherited from. e.g. Shia Islam = Alawi, Twelver, Zaydi etc because it inherits its teachings from Shia school Sunni Islam = Ahmadi, Hanafi, Maliki, Wahabi, Salafi etc because it inherits its teachings from Sunni school Please share your intelligence. I have recently come across the Twitter account of a Ahmadi Scholar based in the U.S. He has thousands of followers which include non-muslims and non-ahmadi. He stands against Zionism, condemns terrorism in Pakistan, visits American universities, speaks at American churches, and is a published author about Ahmadiyah persecution in Pakistan. Personally i don't care what his religious believes are. What he is a great example of how Shia scholars should act in an America. Through his actions thousands of people have adopted Ahmadiyah Islam in the U.S. And they have had even larger success across the world. Reaching out to other communities is a top priority isn’t afraid to quote Americans Doesn’t forget his people who are jailed and persecuted in Pakistan Against the Zionist Agenda completely supports the Palestinians Makes sure he goes to American Christian Churches Makes sure he holds events at universities

Salam According to my knowledge, they are divided into two sects ; Qidyanis and lahoris. Qidyanis believe that Mirza gulam ahmed is the awaited mahdi(As), Jesus that was given revelations from good. This belief obviously contradicts the backbone belief of Khatem al nabuwah (seal of the prophet hood). Lahoris on the other hand, have a contrary view to the Qidyanis. They believe that Mirza gulam ahmed was only a scholar and did not receive any revelations from Allah(swt) nor did he have any divine attributes similar to the prophet and in my opinion that brings them inside the fold of Islam. What I am confused about is that what I read about Qidyanis in the internet does not reflect on what some Ahmadis at my university told me about their beliefs. The Ahmadiyia community in my city is one of the largest in north America, and every time they set up a Dawah event on campus I ask them questions about what they believe in. One "sister" told me that they reject the fact that he was a prophet. She said Ahmadis believe he was only the awaited mahdi and that the last prophet is Muhammed. What do you guys think?
