How does ayat tatheer prove the infallibility of the imams if 'rijs' does not mean sin. Now if we look at the qur'an, no where does it indicated that rijs means sin. Also, in our books it mentions in that the imam said 'rijs' means doubt. How can we prove ayat tatheer proves infallibility if rijs does not mean sin? In surah 8:11, very similar words that are used in ayat tatheer are used for the companions. Does this mean that the companions are infallible. Specifically, the ayat uses 'Ankum' which we often bring up about ayat tatheer to say that they were always purified. Using this logic, does that mean the sahaba were also always purified? Final question is why does the event of kisa have to happen if the ayat was already revealed for the five?

If we compare 48:2 with 33:33 then do it not also prove infalliability for all those who are addressed there? Both verses are similar where Allah swt is intending or desiring something with perfection. [Malik 48:2] So that Allah may forgive your past as well as your future sins, and may perfect His blessings upon you, and keep you on the Right Way. [Malik 33:33] (part of verse) O people of the household of Rasool, Allah only intends to remove uncleanliness from you and to purify you completely. إِنَّمَا يُرِيدُ اللَّهُ لِيُذْهِبَ عَنْكُمُ الرِّجْسَ أَهْلَ الْبَيْتِ وَيُطَهِّرَكُمْ تَطْهِيرًا

Wikipedia has a webpage of the English translation of the Holy Qur'an by Abdullah Yusuf Ali, so I looked at it and thought this will be useful to quickly look up surahs and ayahs. I decided to click on 33:33 which is one of our beloved ayahs about Ahlul Bayt AS. Using my home computer with mouse, I clicked on Surah 33 and I saw the table of ayah numbers and the color of ayah 33 looked a little bit different than all the other ayah numbers. At first I thought somebody else already clicked on that ayah so that is why it looks different. Then I noticed that you cannot click on it, like somebody doesn't want you to read it! How strange! If you want to see 33:33, you have to physically scroll down the page until you find ayah 33. If you are using your phone, can you click on 33:33? Can anyone explain this? Is this an example of kufr in the modern time, right in front of our faces, to try to cover up ayah 33 of Surah 33? :donno: http://wikiislam.net/wiki/The_Holy_Quran_-_Abdullah_Yusuf_Ali
